Having recently spent a 2 week holiday at Vicky Apartments in Hanioti, I am very surprised at certain previous negative reviews.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The owners, Pat, Michael, Audrey and Leo are very welcoming and friendly, they are always around if you want help or have any queries, they speak very good English having spent many years in Australia.
Vicky Hotel is within close proximity to Hanioti Square where most Bars, Taverna's and attractions are situated but it is far enough away not to suffer from any noise from the square.
The accommodation is very clean, towels and bed linen are changed regularly and bins are emptied daily. Lunch time snacks, bar food etc were excellent and reasonably priced, the Tuna Salad/Greek Salad are a MUST.
The Beach is only a short walk away, likewise supermarkets are only a hundred yards from the hotel in either direction. The Hotel pool was excellent, not too big and not too small, the children can enjoy a swim or splash in the pool whilst you laze around on the sun loungers on the sun terrace beside the pool.
The locals are very pleasant, most taverna's have staff that can speak good English so communicating is not a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vicky Hotel, we will not hesitate in returning next year and look forward to meeting up again with Pat, Michael, Audrey and Leo.

Just returned after 2wks at Vicky apartments, on booking our holiday we were advised that the owners were 'Friendly'?We did not find this to be true and having spoken to many other guests about this, thinking that it may just be us that felt this way, all of the others agreed that if you're not in the 'Chosen Few' you get treat indifferently.
Hanioti is a lovely place but the atmosphere in the Vicky was awful and we would not go back there, neither would the other guests we spoke to. A smile and a good morning would have cost them nothing......

Small block of apartments idealy situated away from the bustle of the town but within easy walking distance .15 min walk to the beach.We had a lovely holiday without to much complaint apart from the noise of the bingo and kareoke which went on unitl 1.30 without regard to people staying in the apartments who wanted to rest.The pool was rather small and unsafe for young children as the pool floor itself was very slippy.You had to get up very early to get a sun bed as people tended to reserve the beds with a towel. We hired air con a must in 45 degree heat @30 Euros per week.
