This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The first time being 5 years ago. Since our last visit the pool area and bathrooms have been refurbished. The rooms are spotless clean but old fashioned. Linen is changed every day. The food in the hotel is good but a bit repetative. We really like this hotel The one point I will make however is that this hotel is at the bottom of a steep hill, so is not ideal for people with mobility problems and the hill is not mentionedby the tour operators.

This is a nice hotel with wonderful staff. Also if you want to eat out during the evening you can trade you evening meal for lunch at reception.

My husband and myself stay at this hotel on a regular basic - usually twice a year June and September. Rooms are kept very clean and bedding and towels changed regulally. Food fresh and varied - buffet service so just choose what you want. Not yet had a meal I did not enjoy. Location of hotel very central. Up a small hill but close to all amenities. What really makes this hotel for us is the staff who without exception are first class and very friendly. Entertainment in the bar/patio area is a singer (very good) once a week and piano player 2/3 times a week. This all adds to the generally releaxed feeling of this hotel. Would I visit again - can't wait.

Lovely hotel right on lovely clean calm beach. Rather old fashioned and the bath is ony big enough for someone very thin or small.

Excellent greek food but when the Greeks went home at the end of August it tended to gear to the English more.

Good pool area. Poor entertainment go to the cocktail bar 50 mteres away.

Owned by the Metaxa (brandy) family.

Don't go by first impressions! Hotel may look dated, but rooms clean and comfortable - clean towels every day and beds changed every other. Worth paying extra for sea view.

Food excellent. Had a really good holiday here and would go back tomorrow!!! Very little entertainment, but that didn't spoil our holiday. Found a little bar at the top of the hill (Aquarius) which was very friendly.

The Hotel does need updating but other wise it is an excellent hotel. We paid for a sea view room and were very pleased we did so. The room was very clean and the maid service was excellent. All rooms have air conditioning and fridge (although the fridge made a noise through out the night when it was switching on and off) there was a hair dryer in the bathroom and irons and ironing boards are available to use.

The food was excellent both breakfast and the evening meals. Plenty of choice for breakfast and 4 courses at the evening meal.

Although there is not much entertainment in the evenings.

The pool area was always clean and because it is right on the beach you could not ask for more. We did encounter 2 earth tremors which were quite frightening but the Kefalonia people just carry on as usual as they are used them as they do occur quite regularly.

We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we returned to Kefalonia.

The hotel was in a very good location on the beach and the staff were very friendly, unfortunately the hotel rooms were awful. The bathroom in particular seemed a real health and safety hazard. This would have been fine if the hotel was a two star and not a four star. Some areas of the hotel such as the reception were fine and then other areas looked dilapadated.
Four star A Class description is very misleading.

Hotel was in great position - right on the beach, which luckily didn't get too busy. Pool area was quite cramped so we only used it twice but it was still quite nice.Hotel food was excellent- lots of different food every night, and didnt have the same food together in the whole two weeks we were there.Entertainment at hotel was once or twice a week, but didnt go to this because drinks were quite expensive. Lots of resteraunts/ bars along Lassi road, so it is cheaper +nicer to go to these for a drink. Went on the island tour- had a realy good time, and also hired a car from CBR- which is a good idea so you can out and about+visit places youve seen on the tour. Rooms are quite old, but comfortable and clean. Well worth paying the extra for a sea view, but if you don't, the view from the otherside is still quite nice.

A really lovely hotel just a short walk down from resort centre. Graet sized rooms with aircon, fridge, tv etc.
Right on a lovely sandy beach and pool area was lovely - never had a problem finding a sunbed at any time of day as putting towels out early just never happened!
Food was very good and always hot - never a problem finding a table. Bar was also lovely but as with anywhere prices a little steep since the euro! Organised greek night and quiz every week.
All in all I would definately recommend the island and the hotel

We found this hotel on first impression a little dated but very clean. The bedrooms were quite large and all air conditioned.I think this hotel is more suited to older people as there was very little to do in or around the hotel. The hotel is situated on a lovely sandy beach which gently shelves into the sea, making it ideal for families. The food in the hotel was very good and had very friendly waiters. We did eat out on a couple of occasions as it is nice to have a change of scenery, there are several nice taverna's along the main road and a few decent bars though no disco's which would have been nice.I think kefalonia is nice for a relaxing holiday but not if you want a lively holiday.

The hotel itself is very dated.

The food was poor.

The hotel was kept clean and tidy,

The staff are friendly.

There are loads of rules, No floats in the pool, no ball games, no noise,

Don't take your children to this hotel, there is nothing at all for them to do or eat.

Entertainment? what entertainment? there isn't any,

If you want to sleep for 2 weeks, this hotel is for you.
