If you want a brilliant holiday, this is the place to go.

We were amazed at how friendly and helpfull ALL of the staff were, especially the restaurant staff! The food was great too with a good variety every day, from breakfast through to the evening meal.

We enjoyed the entertainment every nite, after all, if you want Broadway quality shows, go to Broadway, not a familly hotel!

The only down side to this hotel is its location, it's a bit of a hike to get into the main parts of the resort but as I said, we enjoyed the entertainment in the hotel so we didn't venture very far in the evenings.

We had a fantastic week at the Atlantica Princess Hotel in Rhodes. What a great place to take the children.

The hotel was very clean and remained clean throughout our stay. I am a very fussy mum when it comes to my children and I can honestly say I was very comfortable. Our room was a Junior Suite having 2 levels, even though there were stairs leading you from your living area to the bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor there was a gate to prevent younger children from falling. We had a sea view and a pool view.

The hotel boasts a fantastic pool with plenty of sunbeds and space.

We stayed all inclusive and used all 3 eateries daily. Even though the food was buffet style not one occasion was that food cold or undercooked. However if there had of been any problem with the food the staff would have dealt with it immediately as they could not do enough for you. Our children made good use of the ice creams and drinks as we did alcholic drinks. During our stay we celebrated our childrens birthdays and for a small charge they provided us with balloons and 2 delicious personalised cakes for both days and made our children feel very special.

We travelled with First Choice. Every member of the team based there including Mary the rep. and Sunny Sarah the kids club rep were amazing. The entertainment was great and in fact that by the 2nd or 3rd day they knew your names made it all the more personal.

As a family we had such a great time and would go back there again.

Just come home from an excellent week at the Atlantica Princess.

The hotel was spotless and the cleaning staff seemed to work all day cleaning different areas to a very high standard

The food was excellent with plenty of choice and lots of it.

The location was not the best if you like a busy surrounding area, but reception had no trouble in getting a taxi if you wanted to go further afield or there was the mini train right outside the door.

The staff are first rate very friendly, very joyful and always willing to have a laugh and joke very very profesional.

The Animation Team.... These people work so had to make the holiday fun I would like to give a big thank you to:- Lele, Dimi, Jacopo, Tijana and Guilia our holiday would not have been the same without you. Always a big thanks to the First Choice crew Joe, Moira and Jess..... my daughter loved you all xx

Just returned from a brilliant week in Atlantica Princess. Cannot find anything bad to say about it - apart from the entertainment which was dire. Although having visited this website previously we were prepared for it.

Hotel staff were friendly and courteous.

Food was plentiful, cooked well and hot and even my fussy 13 year always found something he liked and was willing to try new things.

Not much for teenagers to do in the evening but computers were available in the reception area - what would they do without MSN!!

Pool area was clean and spotless and the trees at the end of the pool were a welcome relief when the sun became too hot. Beach towels are provided.

My 3 children and I have just returned from a fabulous week at The Atlantica Princess.

We stayed in one of the apartments across the road from the main hotel complex which we did not find a problem. Our first floor apartment was very spacious, on opening the front door, the bathroom was located firstly on the right hand side before going into a kitchen area with dining room table and chairs and sofa beds which lead out on to a small balcony. From the lounge area stairs led upstairs to a bedroom which had a TV with limited channels and looked out over the downstairs and it had a King Size bed. The apartment was cleaned frequently and towels changed every day.

The hotel area was very clean and the choice of food at all meal times was excellent, very much approved of by my 11 year old twins and 14 year old daughter. You had to queue to order your drinks and then queue again to collect them, it appeared to work well.

The pool area is very spacious and there are certain areas around the pool where you can get some shade under the trees at different times of the day but there was normally a little breeze going. The hotel provided towels for pool use but guests were 'grabbing' sunbeds very early in the morning. I was up one morning at half past 6 and all the poolside ones were gone but another morning when we did not get to the pool until 11am we still got a bed, I did find the sun beds very cramped as was the tables and chairs near to the bar where the evening entertainment was held. The Entertainment was something else, you had to give them 100% for effort, some of it was OK, some of it I won't bother mention!!

We stayed at the Atlantica Princess in Ixia for two weeks. This was with the wife and two kids aged 2 and 5

The hotel was extremely impressive and very well presented

Food was great- however we missed the Greek food as it catered for an international audience (kebabs once a week!!)

Location was the only downside- it is stuck out of the way so if you want to explore it is not really suitable

Staff first class

Entertainment was first class- a it like euro trash every day but this appealed to me!

I have already booked for next year!

We have just returned from Atlantica Princess Ixia, had a really great holiday paid extra for a sea view over looking Turkey on the horizon (well worth it)!

Upgraded to all inclusive on the second day 2 adults 1 child (7yrs) 555 euros (would recommend this and its well worth the money).

All the staff are brilliant and cant do enough for you, lead by the hotel manager who leads by example and is hands on...

The entertainment by the animation team (who tired me out just watching them) they all give 120%. The rooms are well equipped, bigger than average very clean plus air con (a must in July).

Our first time in Rhodes but would visit again always a breeze so it isnt too hot..
Would definitley recommend this hotel.

We have just returned from an all round excellent holiday at The Atlantica Princess. You really couldn't fault this holiday, the only thing which let it down were some of the english families who choose to go their. It is very interesting to see how different countries act when their team are playing football and lets just say the English Dad's were by far the worst!

Location
The hotel is listed as being Ixia, but it isn't its Ialyssos and I was very glad of this. Ixia is horrible. If you are looking for authentic Greece you will not find it here. All the hotels and restaurants are on the main road which runs into Rhodes Town and it is very busy and noisy. The hotels are nothing like I have ever seen in Greece before, as they are all over 10 story high, concrete monstrousities. We counted one which was nearly 25 stories and looked like it belonged in inner city London!

About a 5 minute stroll straight out of the doors of the Atlantica there are numerous bars are restaurants. The resort is quite spread out, but everything is within walking distance. Although we were all inclusive we eat out everynight, as being served an evening meal, just isn't the same as the free for all buffet. I have read a lot on this site out 'Knights of Old' restaurant, which we visited twice and found to be very good. However, please try the next restaurant along 'Navarone', we found the portions to be much more generous and the food excellent.

Hotel Rooms
We were given room 245 on arrival and we were very pleased with the room. The room had massive patio doors and even when you stood at the very back of the room you could still see the beatiful blue sky and sea. The view was lovely, especially when the sky turned pink and created a nice glow over Turkey. Our room has a huge bed (not two beds pushed together either) and another single which we tended to use as a dumping ground. Fridge, kettle with coffee, cups supplied, TV with a couple of English channels and a table and chairs. It all looked newly painted and very clean. The seaview side is definately the best, purely because you don't get any noise from the entertainment on the other side.

Hotel Food
You really couldn't fault the food. Breakfast which was served in the inside restaurant had something for everyone. The lunch was served on the outside eating area and dinner back inside. Be warned, you cannot just walk into the restaurants and take a seat. You have to wait at the entrance to be seated, although if you pointed out an empty space you could sit there. You then order your drinks with the waiter and you then help yourself to as much as you want! A nice touch is the A La Carte restuarant, which when AI you can attend once a week for free. This is to the rear of the outside eating area and is worth a visit, as its all waiter service. The only downfall of what could be a romantic night is the noise that the reps make when trying to entertain the kids on the stage to the side of the bar. This really is something else and has to be seen to be believed.

Entertainment
The hotel has an 'animation team' who seem to work tirelessly 'entertaining' and I use this word losely the guests. We originally did not book this hotel and were due to go to the Ixian Grand, which happens to be the next hotel along, but we got transfered last minute. And being honest, noisey animation teams were what we hoped to avoid, especially during the day. They seem to constantly have a microphone in their hands shouting for everyone to get together for the next acticity. This included water polo, water aerobics and then various singing and dancing to the same songs day and night. If a peaceful day around the pool is what you want, you will not get it here.

Pool Area
Further to the above, the pool area, on certain days can get too busy, although we preferred the grassed area to the rear which was out of the way and less noisy. We never had trouble getting a sunbed up here, but the beds directly in front of the pool went very quickly. The pool area isn't really big enough for the hotel and all the kids which are in the pool with their lilo's!

Hotel Staff
ALL the hotel staff were brilliant. All very friendly and they worked tirelessly to please you. The whole hotel was spotless and was all run very efficiently.

Beach
The beach will not be everyones cup of tea, especially if you have small children, but we found it to be very nice. Its all shingle, but this means no sand everywhere and we thought all the lovely white stones against the blue sky and sea, was rather beautiful. The sea, once you had got past the pebbles (about 2m in was all sand) was beautiful and clear. Now the wind which everyone talks about, is more than welcome, as we had 14 days of pure blue skys and boiling hot sunshine. Yes, there is a breeze, which is slightly stronger some days, but trust me this is nothing to worry about and is very, very welcome. It only seemed to be at certain times during late afternoon, most nights were very still and very hot.

To conclude, we had an excellent holiday, in a lovely hotel, but due to there being various other place we would like to visit we would not return.
