The area is kept clean and tidy and if you want entertainment you need to go into town.
The nearest beach is about 15 min walk. But good idea to hire a car or jeep to visit other parts of the island.

Can't wait to go back.

Of all the beaches and resorts on Skiathos, we chose Aghia Paraskevi for our fourth visit because of its beautiful beach. Its very clean, quieter than other resorts, and the sea is perfect for small children to paddle. There are plenty of tavernas to choose from, Kulio was our favourite taverna, friendly staff and wide choice on the menu. Green Park taverna off the main road is also a recommendation for its peaceful setting. There are several well stocked supermarkets also. In our opinion , Aghia Paraskevi is the best resort on the island of SKiathos.

It is a fairly low key resort, nice and quiet which suites us but if you want lots of night life Skiathos Town is only about 7 kilometres away and there is a regular bus service(about every 20 minutes) plus taxis are plentiful and quite reasonable. It is best to flag a taxi down because if you pre book one there is a 2 Euro booking fee and they are plentiful enough in fact if you are waiting at the bus stop a taxi will invariably pull up and offer a ride to save you waiting.

Great restaurants and bar - all with friendly staff. Good for couples seeking a relaxing and laid back holiday. Aghia Paraskevi is in a good central location for visiting all the fantastic beaches in Skiathos and for a trip to town in the evenings. We'd definitely go back here.

The resort was brilliant. I didnt find the hill too hard because it wasn't as bad as people made out.

Holiday = Amazing

The resort is ok, it has some nice tavernas, serving some tasty food. The prices are at least 30% cheaper than in Skiathos town itself. There is vitually no entertainment, catch the bus into Skiathos town for that. The beach itself is also 'ok' But you do have about 20 beaches to choose from. Some of the more secluded ones are beautiful, so take time to search these out! I enjoyed my time here but the resort isn't big enough for us as we'd seen all there was to see in 2 days.

If you love to sunbathe though it's great.

Skiathos is only a bus ride away from our hotel and the buses came at regular half hour intervals. If the buses were full (which was often the case) then taxis pull up and offer to take four of you to the town for 8 euros total. We did take advantage of this on a couple of occasions but as a rule, the buses were fine. You can either get off at bus stop 4 or go straight to the end of the line (the port). Either of these stops are fine as it is quite a nice short walk to get to the harbour. There are many bars and restaurants. The prices are average and not particulalry cheap but the standard is very high. Skiathos is a very pretty place to visit. It is very clean and the walk around the harbours (old and new) is most pleasant. There are some steps which during the day are just that-steps- but in the evening, big cushions appear and turn the steps into most comfortable sitting places. We ate at many places but the most memorable one (not only for the amount of steps to get to it) was the Windmill. What a view! An oxygen cylinder would be most welcome when you reach it but a beer almost does the same job!
As a resort, Skiathos has lots to offer for all ages. The beaches are fabulous and very clean. I can certainly recommend it for the more able bodied. I am not sure how people with walking difficulties would go on as there are many steps, but I think it is a beautiful resort and would certainly go there again.

My husband and myself stayed at the Zorbas Family studios in middle September.

We found the family most welcoming and helpful, the apartment was very modern and clean and the view from the balcony was stunning, the swimming pool and the poolside bar were lovely. When you walked down the rather steep hill to the tavernas bars and the supermarket we found they were also very friendly and welcoming.

The beach was 5 mins walk away and what a lovely beach it was, so clear and you could watch the fish big and small swiiming around you.

We also tried the local bus service a few times and we found them very frequent and helpful telling you which bus stop number was coming up for you, all in all we enjoyed the holiday very much and will definately be going back and will stay at the Zorbas.

The resort is very nice with many little Tavernas to eat out and relax. All are family run and the off the beaten track are worth checking out.
The beach is really nice.

Having travelled the island on the bus from No.1 to No.26 we found this resort to be the best with the nicest restuarants and amenities.
We found that Platanias was a nice place to eat although I would give George's cafe a miss.
Also one point to note beefburgers arent the same in Greeece - you dont get them in a bun!
