Use the lift for lower part of the main street and walk out the main entrance straight ahead or even left and first right for upper part of the main street.

Mellieha village is set on a hill so steep walk up.

There are a few bars and varied restaurants. Our favourite was at the top opposite HSBC bank called Alanta boy. Menu here had something to suit everyone and was very reasonable. Our favourite was the fillet steak.

The beach was sandy and clean with lot,s of watersports. Ideal for kids.

Mellieha Bay for us , is a wonderful place, the beach is really really nice and sandy, and it is literally across a main road from the seabank hotel, there are a number of good restaurants around the bay , which all have very nice food. you are quite near to the ferry port, about 10 mins, to go to Gozo, which i would say i a MUST. also there our plenty of buses going from mellieha going to all different locations across the island, you never have to wait for buses in malta. i would really highly recommend malta and the seabank hotel to anyone, and i shall be returning again very soon.

Since Mellieha Bay is one of the few resorts on the island with anything like a substantial beach it inevitably gets rather crowded in high season. Especially since the sea is so clear and so shallow for a long way out that swimming for all ages is very safe. Water Sports participants (Jet Skis, Parakiting, Water Skiing, Surf Boards, etc) are all kept well away from the swimming area.

Other than that this is a very enjoyable place to spend a week's or fortnight's holiday.

Litter seems to be the order of the day both in the streets and in the sea.Pavements are diabolical and the roads must have been used by tanks for training exercises.

There is very little to do in Mellieha in the evenings so we took the bus to Bugibba mostly.

The beach varied day to day.

Some days it was clean, others litter strewn including used toilet paper.

I found the whole resort to be clean.Be very carefull of the pavements though they are very slippery a few people had a fall including myself.

In Mellieha bay there a lots of resturants we ate mostly at a resturant called..JUST FOR YOU..1st class meals and very frienly can not fault it at all.

The beach is very clean and water very clear plenty sunbeds and shades for a small fee, sea ideal for children as very shallow.

Several places to buy drinks,food,fruit.

You can hire boats, canoes, jet ski, ect from the Tunny Net just as you approach the bay.

Also boat trips to the Blue Lagoon, Harbour cruies, From The ENGLISH ROSE, just behind the Tunny Net from the jetty.

Staff from the ENGLISH ROSE are great and very friendly.

I will definatly return to Malta.

We found malta and especially mellieha to be very dirty, locals not very friendly and everywhere very dear except for the buses.

Mellieha is a small but nice village with a beach down a long steep hill, the buses are cheap, packed and regular, if you dont fancy that car hire is essential

Melleha Bay is a quiet place, in the village there are places to eat, but the bay itself doesn't have much going for it apart from a sandy beach.

Mellieha beach is one of the best on the island and the sea is shallow and safe, there are various water sports, snack bars and restaurants.
The village of Mellieha is up a steep and winding road, there are plenty of shops and restaurants and a regular bus service for those not wanting to attempt the walk.
