Use the lift for lower part of the main street and walk out the main entrance straight ahead or even left and first right for upper part of the main street.

The resort is quiet but is ideal for those who like to stay by the beach each day. There are only a handful of places to go out, a few restaurants and a couple of very quiet bars. Its on a main hill so not ideal for the less mobile but the busses are cheap and regular.

It is a walk down a very steep hill to the nearest beach but it's only a short bus ride and will cost you about 20p. It has the largest sandy beach in Malta and very safe for swimming.
I would recommend both of these hotels.

We thought the entertainment was terrible, as they were singing aga doo, and were making to much noise all seemed a bit common. General standards of beach and resort areas all seemed quite acceptable.

If you want a quiet holiday, Mellieha is perfect, but if you are looking for a livlier resort, I would recommend Bugibba or St Pauls.

Too be honest, as we were on honeymoon, we didn't see an awful lot of the place, we didn't go to the beach, but I know other people said it was lovely.

The main square is lovely, a few shops and bars and the church. All the locals are friendly and I would recommend a drink in the Stop Inn bar, Johnny the owner is extremely friendly as are all of his family.

The village itself sits on top of a hill, a steep walk from the beach which itself was very clean but not very large. The locals are very friendly and very pro british.
The church is worth a visit and so is valetta.

Nothing spectacular but the beach is lovely.

Plenty of cheap buses to all parts of the island. You must visit Mosta to see the fantastic dome even if you're not into churches.

Valetta too has some good shops for the shopaholics. also, you must try 'Maltese bread', it's gorgeous.

Location of the hotel was excellent as long as you don't mind being away from shops and bars.

The beach was nice with shallow water for a long way. Storm stirred up the seaweed but this was cleared away. Sun beds and additional matress for the beds available for local charge. Very grumpy man walking up and down the beach selling nougat and nuts from his basket. He could be very rude if you looked and then didn't buy anything.

Lovely malta village. Short bus ride to beautiful beach, brilliant for children.

Malteese people so pleasant. Selection of gift and food shops and eating places.

The village is situated on a large hill with usual gift shops and small supermarkets etc either side. There are two banks with ATMs. The beach got very crowded especially at weekends as probably the only sandy beach in Malta. The sunbeds cost 3.50 Lira in the week but double that at the weekend. It is extremely safe for children and you can venture out for metres and metres before without going out of your depth.

The resort was generally quiet although we did have a lot of noise over the weekend from boats in the harbour and parties from the other side of the bay- this went on until about 1am. Because the hotel had a private beach we stayed on this when not travelling further afield- this was the best thing about the hotel. Don't bother to visit the popeye village- its very shabby and a waste of money.
