Of course I would visit this resort again we have been going for 24 years so why stop now.
Each year there is new entertainment and new hotels on the island. The Maltese are wonderful people.

st Paul's bay/bugibba has had its day.its now like Blackpool ,but with the sun,and if that's what you like, then this place is for you.i have been visiting Malta for many years, and the decline in this area has been awful.if i ever do visit Malta again i would only visit Sliema or Mellehia because they are not as dirty as st Paul's bay or bugibba, and i feel sorry for the Maltese people that have to live in these two places

There are no sandy beaches in this area, however there are rocks which lead down to the sea and designated swimming areas. The area is very british, with a large varity of resturants and bars. There is a bus stop only a few minutes from the complex. There are loads of businesses organising trips, most of which include pick-up and drop from your accommodation. Several local 'supermarkets' are within a short walk where you can find everything you'll need.

We always spend most of our evenings at the Peperone Irish Bar (across from the Karanne Hotel) Sharon, Joan and Richie who run this bar are extremely friendly and are a mine of useful information. Entertainment is on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights and it does get quite full on these nights.

A good variety of shops and restuarants, plenty of entertainment and a lovely long promenade.

Buggiba is fairly clean, plenty of food outlets and bars with enough shops to keep my wife happy. There is a new man made beach but was not open at the time of our visit, otherwise the coastline is rocky. Got a really good exchange rate locally in the uk 1.19 euro to the pound in Buggiba 1.26 to the pound.

we were not looking for a hectic night life, just sunshine and a change of scene,a nice bar or cafe which we found at the 23 steps the week soon passed, the cruise around Malta is a nice day out,but best avoided when the sea is a bit choppy unless your a good sailor, the car museum was excellent the owner and staff very good a must if your interests include cars and motorbikes. We have done the sights in previous visits .Malta is a like or never to return place,we will return, but not to the Karanne again.

Its Malta and you either love it or hate it.We find the friendliness of the locals makes up for it's other deficiencies. Not much entertainment in the resort but it was November. No sign of a beach-just rocks here.We have been to Quawra/Buggiba before and would probably go back again. The boat trips in the summer are good value.Recommend the Blue Lagoon trip.
