If you don’t mind the noise from the main bar area in the evenings then the rooms close to reception/around the big main pool are ideal as their close to everything, pool, daytime entertainment, restaurant, reception, bar etc
Rooms further back behind the gym are better if you have smaller children and prefer not to be disturbed by the evening noise. The pools further back are quieter and the middle pool has a nice splash play area for younger children.
If you have rooms on the lower level you do hear footsteps of people walking around above you.

maspolomas is a very nice resort, very clean and with many good restaurants.the dunes are spectacular and the beach is very clean.all in all a very nice resort.

We went to Playa del Ingles resort and beach most days and really enjoyed it.
The beach was clean with a lovely man walking round selling refreshments.
Very good selection of restaurants on the beach front.
We went in October so night life wasnt the best but satisfactory.

This is the best resort we have been to in our 30 years of going to Spain. Very upmarket with some lovely cafes and bars along the promenade and on its doorstep is the massive sand dunes. Hotels are all first class 4 and 5 stars.

Maspalomas has come on leaps and bounds since I last visited some 5+ years ago, the developments are much nicer than the main resort of Playa de Ingles.
I was really impressed with the beach/shopping area of maspalomas, at night the beach front looked amazing with the restaurants, light house and live music. Food was excellent too.

Meloneras is a quiet location but you can walk along the promenade to busier areas offering shops and bars with entertainment. We did not go on the beach as the pool areas were excellent. Opposite the hotel they are expanding the area a little with a shopping centre - already built just needing vacating.

The resort was clean, lots of things to do plenty of bars and resturants. The beach was excellent and very clean, we went down on the free bus everyday.As we were all inclusive we stayed at the hotel most of the time but we did stray into the town a few times for a drink and had a realy good time. There were 4 in our party and all agreed we would go again.........

Maspalomas is very quiet, there is a commercial centre selling electrical items, bags, shoes, sports wear etc, but there are also designer shops La Coste, Hugo Boss which all have sales on and are slightly cheaper than at home.
As we were all inclusive we only visited a few bars but they were ok, there were no time share sellers or looky looky men which we preferred and the resort is peaceful and a walk along the promenade of a night is a must as there is a lovely breeze.

Our resort of maspalomas was fairly quiet with a small shopping centre across the road from the hotel, which had a few bars and restaurants and was also being made on a much larger scale which lead onto the beach.
So the enertainment for us was to go to the resort of playa del ingles which was a very nice walk of about 15min. That resort was smallish but it was buzzing with entertainment, with lots of bars restaurants and shops that stayed open til 11.00pm, it was great. We didnt actually go on the beach as we are pool people but what i saw from it it looked very clean and lots of sunbeds and parosols, my son went crabbing on that beach and he didnt complain about it so it must have been nice. I will definetely come to this resort again.
