If you don’t mind the noise from the main bar area in the evenings then the rooms close to reception/around the big main pool are ideal as their close to everything, pool, daytime entertainment, restaurant, reception, bar etc
Rooms further back behind the gym are better if you have smaller children and prefer not to be disturbed by the evening noise. The pools further back are quieter and the middle pool has a nice splash play area for younger children.
If you have rooms on the lower level you do hear footsteps of people walking around above you.

Maspalomas has everything to suit everyone and i was thrilled with the resort will be returning, cheap taxis help you get around with ease.Beaches were of excellent quality. playa del ingles is a stones throw away allowing you access to the shops and livlier bars if thats what takes your fancy

The resort in itself is ok, as we didnt see much of the resort, but we did go down to the beach.
However we werent impressed with the beach as it was just pebbles and mainly dunes.

Maspalomas was very clean, not a piece of litter to be seen! Sand dunes are lovely and are definitely a must see!! In the afternoon the sand heats up very quickly and burns your feet if you don't wear shoes!!!

Melonares is really an up and coming resort, the centre they have built is beautiful and there is a nice walk along the beach to Maspalomas and taxis are very cheap to all the different centres.

Staying in Maspalomas does require you to have a taxi to get to the shops etc or hire a car for a couple of days. Reasonable prices for both. We hired a car for 2 days and went to Puerto Rico and Puerto Mogan. Both well worth a visit. You must go to Oskars Restaurant in P Rico as it is fab - you need to pre book a table.
We did the Spirit of the Sea trip to see the dolphins and this was really good. Crew were great although it is not good if you suffer with sea sickness so be warned.
Beautiful scenery along the coastline - well worth taking your camera. Be warned about purchasing cameras in the Canaries - I was taken in and bought a digital camera they claimed to be a JVC and it is not (although it has JVC on it)! Could prove to be an expensive mistake. I overheard someone else who had paid £400 more than he should have done for his video camera.

Basic cleaning, thats cool.
Funny watching the cleaners all day with their trollys in and out of all the bungalows, like an army on ants, they never stopped!
Beaches are great, clean, fun for all. On site shop stocks all you need from food to prezzies. Yumbo Centre a 4 minute cab ride away is great for shopping eating and entertainment.
Great trips on offer to discover and explore the island, although easy enough to go it alone via cab or bus to explore. You cant get lost as those cab drivers know every inch of the island.
Going back yet again because we miss those toasted sarnies at Caroles bar!

maspolamas is little out of way of all the noise and busy towns but we like this, taxis into neighbouring towns always availible and cheap 3 euros.
Lots of pubs/bars to choice from and all served good food and drink.
Beach very clean and lots of sunbeds availible 2.5 euros each for day. Sea clean but sea bed rocky so put shoes on in sea.

Resort very clean (no people) to litter it, if you want entertainment blackpool is great this time of year. This resort is for people who really want a break and relax, the beach is excellent it's like a mini desert great for video and still photos. I may visit again but I have seen it now and like to explore new teritory maybe!....
