Hi im steph quilty i stayed in this hotel twice (going for the 3rd time this August)i am 13 years old. me, my mum and dad all love these hotels. we find them a pleasure to be in. My mum loves the weather and the fact it can be quite livley in peek season (August, wen we go!) My dad the fact that, well his on holiday and me the fact im in the sun and that theres allways friends to make there!!! like many other people have said the pool side bar has great frienly staff! 24 hour reception (allthought past 12 u get spanish controlling it!) it is not the poshest hotel in gran canaria but we love it!! you are only 176 steps from the comercial center (that sounds alot but its not!!)as when you get there its well worth it

Stayed here for a week last March. Large one bedroom apartment which was clean enough but in need of upgrading. Not sure how often the maid came in but always had plenty of clean towels (despite the horrible brown colour!) and bed was changed once during our stay.

Our balcony overlooked the Commercial Centre and this was very noisy at night which didn't bother us as we didn't have kids with us but I imagine if you did it would be a problem.

No entertainment at night when we were there. Clean pool area and plenty of sunbeds but then it wasn't school holidays so fairly quiet. Friendly bar staff at the pool and snacks available.

The hotel won't change Euro travellers cheques, only sterling, which I thought was quite odd. This meant we had to go down to the Commercial Centre for cash and then had to go back up to put our passports away - wouldn't take the chance of carrying them about all night. Stairs down to Commercial Centre an easy walk but coming back pretty hard work !

No cockroach problems at these apartments - never saw one the whole week.

Although we were told these were some of best in Puerto Rico we've stayed in better. The apartments are a good size but would be a squeeze for four adults. They are in need of an update as they were a bit tatty but we made them home for two weeks.

The maid service in rather strange, they change the towels everyday but that's about it our floor was swept/cleaned once in the two weeks.

The reception people are were very nice and nothing was too much trouble, we moved rooms after the first night as our outlook (4th floor)was a sun terrace which everybody had access too which left me feeling slightly insecure. Still, they understood and moved us to the 2nd floor which was great.

The bar shuts at 11.30 which is strange because all the other hotels were still open at 1 o'clock. There is some entertainment but we gave it a miss as there's far more to do in the centre.

We had breakfast in the restaurant a couple of times but to be honest you're better off going down to the shopping centre as it wasn't the best.

Overall the Puerto Feliz is a good location but does need some updating.

I visited this complex last July for the first time last July and found it be an excellent complex. From what I could see all Apartments had a sea view or a pool view and all faced out over the resort.

The pool was excellent with plenty of sunbeds to choose from, the poolside bar was run by an English couple and provided good luchtime snacks, although evening entertainment was limited but being so close to the resort centre this is not a major factor.

You will find a few stray cats around the complex but again this is common in Puerto Rico and the cats are harmless.

In the brochure it says the hotel has a gym, but this is small room next to the pool with a few weights which was the only let down in this complex.

In the brochure it says a 10 minute walk to resort centre but down the steps it is a 5 minute walk, although it is quite a steep hill so a taxi to get up the hill is easier and is about 500 pts.

Overall, an excellent property in a good location a good base to discover the resort.
