We flew by Ryan Air which was a new experience at 4am and a bit of a shock for the first time. Resorthoppa had been booked and went smoothly. The staff were lovely especially if you used your manners and in Spanish too. The hotel was extremely clean (I did want to ask the cleaning staff if they wanted a rest as they were constantly cleaning) and what I expected. The food became repetitive during the week but we didn't need to dine out as there was always something to eat. The location was excellent and although there was a train line it wasn't very noisy at all. The only negative for us is that we had a room on the ground floor opposite 2 lifts and I don't think other guests realised that they were bedrooms. There were quite a few Dutch guests which was good for our son but the pool became over crowded with 3 teenagers in it but it was clean. The entertainment was what you would expect and not many people stayed to watch it but sat outside instead. The location was excellent but the rooms could do with a little bit of updating. I would advise you to take the the trip to Barcelona including FC Barcelona for 19 Euros organised by the hotel. The hotel staff ordered the pack lunch for us before I could speak as she said its free anyway.

You can book your flights, resorthoppa and hotel direct which I would consider doing in the future.

We stayed for 2 weeks in August 2008. The location is great and the staff were very welcoming upon our arrival. The hotel is very clean and smart with the selection of food in the dining room is to EVERYONES taste - noone could leave the dining room feeling hungry. One point about the dining room- a dress code should be enforced as,sitting close to someone in a vest and shortsd at dinner is off putting!!

Overall the hotel is great and FULLY recommended. WE WILL CERTAINLY RETURN!

We travelled from Newcastle to this hotel 2 adults 2 children upon arrival the hotel looks nice. The rooms are big with plenty of room but as we were on a half board basis there were no cooking utensils at all, cups, kettle or knives or forks just a pan which we used to boil water in to make a cuppa. We had to buy plastic cups from shop to use. The meals in the hotel are very repetitive as in pasta, potatoes and carrots in garlic. Chips every night which our two boys lived on as there was not much choice for children. There is plenty of food on so you wont starve it is just mostly the same every night with a little variation and not very hot although there is a microwave there to heat it up. We ate out a few times as we got sick of the food. The hotel pool is very small and not very clean at all as in plastic cups and tab buts in pool. We spent alot of time at the beach which is very nice.

We have just came back from a weeks stay at this hotel, As previously stated, the location is excellent and with the hotel being on the edge of the beach it is a beautiful setting. The cleaners do a fantastic job, rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels daily as well. This hotel is very clean overall, The pool area is kept extremely clean as well.

The entertainment is what you would expect for a hotel in spain, nothing more and nothing less. It is better than some we have seen.

The food is good but very limited, we were only staying for one week and it was very repetative so that was a bit of a disappointment although the food on offer is good it was just the same every day. Veil was on the menu the 7 nights we were there. The kids meals were the exact same every day.

If you are all-Inclusive and the kids want snacks or ice cream they have to come out of the pool get dryed and dressed and go to the restuarant which is not ideal at all.

Overall the hotel is really nice and they do try hard to keep it clean which is one high priority for me when staying away from home. I do think they could do better with the food and also let the kids get snacks and ice cream from the pool bar.

We have stayed in many hotels abroad and i would not say this is a 4 star but it is a good 3 star.

The rooms are adequate for a couple or maybe even at a push a couple with two toddlers but they are definately not family rooms and you would definately need two rooms if it was a family of 4. Our childrew are 13 and 15 and we needed two rooms it would have been a nightmare if we hadnt booked the two.

Enjoy your holiday

Hotel very clean and bright good staff large room with kichen area and tv with 5 english channels. Good size bathroom but mini bath. Not a bad location only 2 minutes from front.

Bar area very poor bit like sitting in your local ymca or transport cafe. Dining room OK but food was never very hot.

Choice OK pool area upon roof very small. If you can afford the difference in price best book the h-top royal sun right on the beach and a proper hotel with a proper bar area and hot food.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The cleaners do a really good job throughout the hotel.
We found the food to be of a high standard and had no problems at all with any of the meals. The only thing we would have liked would be,to be able to get a snack at the pool bar at lunchtime so we could eat outside in the sun.
I don't think you could get a better location in this resort.
Staff were friendly and helpful with the exception of one lady at the outside bar.
Entertainment was good.
We would definetly return to The Royal Sun, we met some lovely people there and really enjoyed our holiday!!!!!!!

Would not class this hotel as a 4* have stayed in much better 3* hotels. Maid cleaned everyday, clean towels, but bed was only just made up, bottom sheet still crumpled no fresh sheets all week, have never had this in other hotels we have stayed in. You were made to wait for drinks by the barmen if you were all-inclusive (as we were) this could cause quite a lot of upset as we are not getting anything free, we have already paid upfront for our drinks. Also drinks very small as served in plastic glasses (like tubes) did get proper glasses on a night - why not during the day sat in exactly same place? If you go to this hotel it would be better to get a room overlooking the pool as the side we were on faces the Los Pinos Hotel (very noisy). Didn't bother with the entertainment (don't think we missed much but cannot really comment). Be very careful of handbags and wallets when using the shops behind the hotel, heard quite a few reports of gangs working there and pickpockets. Beach cheaper if you buy a brolley and blowup beds 15 euros to rent per day, also pestered by massage girls, handbag sellers and fruit sellers. Was ok for a weeks break, but would not go back to this hotel or resort.

We arrived at the hotel at 5:30 pm after a flight from Blackpool. When we checked in there was a bit of confusion because they had us all booked into 1 room instead of 2, but this was sorted out very soon by a friendly and efficient receptionist. One of our rooms was a very large room with 2 bedrooms, each with 2 single beds, and a very long balcony, with doors to both bedrooms. It had a decent sized bathroom, with plenty of soap, shampoo, and towels. There was a TV that had 5 english channels. The hotels used to be apartments, so there was a kitchen area too, complete with fridge and cooker. It also has air conditioning.
The staff were very friendly, and obliging, in all areas of the hotel.
The meals were very good, although there wasn't quite as much of a selection, as some other hotels, there was always something nice, and very well presented, as well as always being hot. The hotel wasn't very full so there was never any trouble finding a table, a problem that may occur in the main season, as the restaurant wasn't very big.
There wasn't very much in the way of entertainment while we were there, but there was a young childrens entertainer, who had the few children that were there singing and dancing, and seeming to thoroughly enjoy themselves. It also has internet access, at a cost of 2 euros per 1/2 hour. The swimming pool was on the 6th floor, but i cant comment on that, as we never got there, only to say we were told it was only small.
There are 4 lifts and we never had any trouble using them.
The hotel is set back a little from the front, but only 3 or 4 minutes from the beach, and the 4* H Top Royal Sun ( set by the beach ) is just down the road, so you can pre book meals there before 8pm the previous evening, and you can drink there until 7pm every day. The train station is about 10-15 mins walk away. Although this is only a 3* i found this to be an excellent hotel, and im my opinion is almost on a par with other 4* hotels, and will certainly be returning in the future, and as this is the 1st review on this hotel, i hope anyone intending to go there, find it as good as we did.
