The resort was awful. All you see in the streets is dirty kids begging. People fly tip anywhere and everywhere, and there were make shift homes made from dirty mattresses all over the place. The beach however was a different story, it was really really clean and the sea was beautiful, and very clean.

The beach was lovely and sandy and the sea was beautifully clear and warm. The ex Presidents mausoleum in Monastir was superb and something the Tunisian people seem to be really proud of.The shopkeepers are very in your face and you have to be very strongminded and learn to say no otherwise you will be fleeced

The resort is really just a strip of hotels with their own facilities. We did wander along to have a look at some of the other hotels but there were no non-hotel owned shops in the nearby vicinity.

There are good public transport connections to Monastir and Sousse. There is a bus from the close to the hotel and the railway station is a few minutes walk.

Monastir is quite a good place to visit especially around the harbour area. This is a resort and town in one.

The resort was ok fairly quiet with only 1 small shop and cafe opposite the hotel, you arent allowed to take food / drink into hotel so take a bag to put things in so guards on gate can`t see it if you do buy goods outside.

We took a taxi into sousse, there was lots of small shops, cafe etc which cost 9 dinar each way.

Top Tip if you enjoy a drink take some duty free into the country with you as no shops sell alcohol, only the hotels are licenced and their local beer and spirits are not the best.

The beach area was fairly clean and the security guards kept away any tradesmen from hassling you lifeguards on hotel sections of beach.

If we were to go back to Tunisia it would be to a larger resort and different hotel.

Took a walk to the petrol station one day got hasseled by a man on a horse and cart. offering us a free ride back to the hotel only if we booked a tour with him the next day.
Rubbish lying next to the road.
Beach was excellent, nice fine sand and warm sea.
Beach patrol do a good job of moving along any sellers.
would not visit again due to lack of things to do.
