The Opal Hotel is only rated as 2 star but I think that is misleading. OK the rooms are basic but very clean - the cleaner comes in every day. It is a small family run hotel, not one of these plastic soul-less places.
I rated the food as a 3 because we only had breakfast in the hotel and a couple of lunches which were lovely.
The location is beautiful, you can sit in the garden in the evening with a drink from the outside bar looking out to sea.
A short walk and you are in the town so it's not close enough for any noise.
We went for a week in May and we are going back for two weeks - to the Opal again - in August.
