Hi We just got back from our holidays last night
As soon as we arrived we thought "WOW What A Big Place!"
Weather was excellent throughout the 2 weeks we stayed !
We were across the bridge ( Nogal Beach ) and had our own pool & Snack/Bar which was great ! All our meals were at Ocean Palace which we thought were all excellent. Especially the Gala dinners which were the best we ever had (The lobster starters were amazing !)
The entertainment was great Kieran,Sam & Gary ! Especially When GARY Did His robbie show !!!!!! Well Done Keep It Up !!
We had a great holiday & made lots of friends (would love to go back!)

Hotel very clean and tidy. Towels changed every other day.
Staff very polite. Gary, Sam and Kieran very good entertainers very good with the children. They could not wait for the children's disco also Gary singing is something else. Cannot wait to go back to see him.

Hotel was very clean,nice size pool,good food and brilliant entertainment. Good kids entertainment and activities day and night they couldn't wait for kids club and mini disco with gary.
Also the evening shows were very very good. The entertainers did thier own shows which were very good. We especially enjoyed when gary did the robbie williams night,his voice is fantastic.
Christmas eve entertainment fantastic when all the staff did the alladin panto.
Would come back again overall very happy.

I think these apartments must have gone downhill slightly over the past few months as we found the rooms very basic and a bit shabby.
We arrived to them clean and tidy, but found fraying sheets, broken handles, broken fridge, chipped cups, etc. This could be done with a bit of an overhaul on facilities provided in the rooms.
However on a plus point we had a room on the second floor where the balconies were huge, all overlooking the pool, and the air conditioning was a godsend!
Speaking of the pool, it wasn't the cleanest you'd seen, with the coating coming off the bottom tiling it always looked quite cloudy and you could feel the bits of peelings floating around - the pool was supposed to be opened til 9pm, but we got thrown out at 7.30pm a couple of times!!
The hotel staff were nice and friendly, and there's a nice pool bar with decent snacks, not too expensive, but the shop at the front of Nogal Apts WAS expensive, so best to walk 10 minutes downhill for a cheaper supermarket.
The location was ideal if you didn't want to be in amongst loads of bars and clubs, but not too far away to walk to the beach or shops, but is a bit of a steep walk back!
At the time we stayed, we only stayed there half our fortnight as there was building works going on, so got moved to Los Cristianos for the second week. No-one could really tell us what was happening but after a bit of investigation we found rooms on the ground floor (right underneath our rooms) were being renovated, with hammers and drill at 7.30am most mornings. Also the Ocean Palace next door was shut (which we were told we could use for their extensive facilities!) they were apparently joining the two places together - this should be finished by end of October we were told!!
Overall I'd give Nogal Beach an OKAY rating, and go back only if it had a good clean up!!

Visited in April 2005 with use of facilities at Ocean Palace decided to return in October 2005 only to find out that Ocean Palace was closed and building works was going on in Nogal Beach Apts.
Direct Holidays did not inform us, but did tell us about the building works across from the Apts. Ocean Palace opened six days later, but work was still in progress, as for the Apts because they are being refurbished the standard of the Apts from April to October have deteriorated and in some cases are dangerous.
Families were moved to other Hotels, but we just got the runaround from the Rep for 6 days so we just decided to sort it out when we got home

Just back from a fantastic stay at the Ocean Palace!
Although it is a bit of a walk from the shops and restaurants, taxis are only 3 euros!
The food in the hotel is fab - loads of choice at breakfast and different themes every night for the main meal. The poolside snacks are good value for money as well.
The hotel staff are great and make an effort to make you feel welcome.
The entertainment is great (Luna, Stacey and Amanda) get everyone going and have even got me and my boyfriend addicted to Bingo!
Just be a bit wary by the pool as it is really slippy but everyone is well warned about this at the welcome meeting.
Already planning our trip back to Ocean Palace!

Just returned from Nogal Beach and already thinking about booking these apartments again.
We had an apartment on the second floor which appeared to have the largest balconies. Rooms were clean with kettle, toaster and microwave. Air conditioning was a bonus, however I think the holiday company rating as a 4 star is too high.
The pool area was great and was cleaned every day by staff. Family were with us but staying at different apartments. They spent most of there time at Nogal beach as the kids pool was great for the children.
Staff always had a smile for you.

This was our fourth time at Ocean Palace and we enjoyed it more than ever.
Food was fantastic,entertainment was brilliant in the day by the pool and at night. Saw two cockroaches by the pool in the week we were there,cant wait to go back next year when the hotel links up with Nogal beach next to it and becomes all inclusive!

The reception area is very nice.
We arrived in the early hours and did not have to wait more than five minutes for our room (110) there was no noise to be heard from the kitchen as stated on another report.
The hotel was a good 15 minute walk from the hotel which became a bit of a chore. Also be warned that in town they harras you all the time to do your hair,sell you glasses,watches shiny things some will not go away and follow you while you are walking.
Hotel staff work all nice and pleasant as were the entertaiment team. The only downside with the entertainment was that it started far to late sometimes it was 11.30 before it started though it was o.k

The Ocean Palace was a nice hotel but could do with a few repairs doing.
Nothing major that spoilt our holiday but little things that you notice like big cracks in the walls and light switches not connected right,small things that eventually add up and make it more like a three star hotel.
Most of the staff were great with the odd exception. Room was large and always very clean. Only ate in the hotel twice but this was quite good.entertainment was ok but on a bit late didnt start till 11pm,children were wanting to go to bed then.
Stacey and Luna were great and kids reps too.
