Very clean throughout.
Beach is maily sand and stones and a bit difficult to walk on. The sea floor is littered with rocks and boulders and not the easiest to walk out from shore.
The hotel has a policy of removing towels from sunbeds before 9am which is great you are Ok if you get down early and stay with your bed.

Have visited Side 3 times, and still love it..... has everything you need for a lovely holiday... shops upon shops, resturants, hairdressers, plenty of chemists if one is needed, friendly area, beach is superb, beach has plenty of water activities, and the wait is never long we have found 10 minutes at the most !
Plenty of taxi's, doloumus buses to travel on, and some nice walks to take........

Side town is beautiful built amongst roman ruins ,food prices slightly below UK prices,entertainment was ok but we got so irritated by pestering shopkeepers we gave up going.Beaches are cleaned every day by tractor.
Shopkeepers gibber at you in german, and start at stupid prices offer 1/3 of what they ask,
We hoped to buy leather coats, handbag and shoes but bought nothing just got fed up of bartering.
We've seen the history so we won't rush bck.

Plenty of shops if thats your thing. See the old Roman Ruins but be carefull not to suddenly find yourself on a guided tour as they try to charge a fortune when you finish.

The resort itself was generally apealling although as fair way from our hotel.
The resort had the usual selection of turkish shops/facilities etc. the beach stretched for a long distance but when we visited appeared a little tired -It was low season and therefore things were still being prepared.
a visit to the ampitheatre was very good value and the harbour area was pleasant.

Lots of restaurants and bars and shops directly opposite our hotel Barut Hemera also very clean. Side only a half hour walk away on the beach or 6 Euros by taxi.

Old Side is situated on a peninsular and cosists of narrow streets of shops, restaurants and bars. It is very busy in the evenings and you will experience hassle from shop keepers and restaunants. Howeverm a polite No Thankyou will generally suffice. There are many small hotels and pensions in the area. Beaches stretch for many miles either side of Old Side, and it is to the rear of these beaches that numerous large all inclusive and half board hotels have been built. If you stay in this area be aware that it is a taxi trip into old Side.

The resort cleanliness was very well kept upto its high standards from the time we last went and you again would not see one peice o litter.

Hotel only in second season like most of the hotels around all hotels all inclusive feel that within the next couple of years the resort will be a built up resort and very busy.
