I thought that the resort was dirty,there were no entertainment as such you made your own,the beach looked beautiful from a distance at close inspection there were food wrappers and pop bottles on the beach,sorry but i would not visit this resort again.

Our third visit to Side. It has an historic centre with Roman ruins everywhere (even in some of the hotel grounds you can rest your Rakki on the pedestal of a Roman column. A picturesque harbour,numerous restaurants and lots of shops selling "designer" clothes and watches etc.
Our favourite restaurant was the Ottoman which overlooks the main square. Rasim one of the owners is an excellent host and recognised us even though it had been four years since our last visit.
The restaurant even picked us up from our hotel(saving 7 euro taxi fare!)
Do try some of the local trips Perga Aspendos Kursunlu (P.A.K.)definitely worth a day, see all three on one trip, about 40 minute drive from Side so not too tiring.
We also went to an evening concert at Aspendos (2000 year old amphitheatre and still in use, 9,000 in the audience when we went!)
Many hotels are beachfront and stretch out from Side East and West. the western beach stretches for miles and miles.
Definitely a place to return to.

We never really visited the resort as i was at the hospital with my girlfriend for the 1st three days, the rest of my family went into side and found that the roads wasn`t roads they were broken cobbles and dirt tracks so we was a bit put off from going there with 3 of kids being in buggys, the hotel is in kumkoy between manavgat and side the shops outside the hotel are ok but you have to be careful as the shops were using mostly euro instead of turkish lira and prices were marked up in euro and when using lira they were giving different prices where ever you went, trying to barter was hard as they kept saying everything is priced and sometimes wouldn`t budge, nearly every shop sold the same thing so we went to different places and found the same there so we took it as it was we enjoyed the resorts they were very clean, friendly people and wasn`t too far to go, i would go back to turkey but try somewhere else just for change of scenery.

The Lara area is only 15 minutes from Antalya airport and is a new resort. There are a number of 5 star hotels along the waters edge. With the exception of a few local shops which include a chemist and a nearby hospital there is little else there. The quality of the Barut Lara means that you can enjoy a wonderful holiday without going outside the hotel if you are not a culture seeker. Trips however are easilly accessible and not far away.

Side town has hundreds of shops , you name it they have it. It has to be the capital of the fake t-shirt. Very cheap, but they really do hassle to the point were you cant browse as you know they will pounce on you. Some like the haggling I just hate it.
There is a small harbour were you can go on boat trips for 5 euros, nice bars and restaurants were you can watch the sunset.
The hotel is in Side it is 1 euro & about 15 mins on the Dolmus to Side town centre. The Dolmus are frequent and stop directly outside the hotel. Its ideal as the next stop is the terminus so at least when they turn around your the first on it, otherwise it is standing room only.If your into markets there is one every Thursday in Managavat, again 1 euro on the Dolmus.

this hotel is not side it is callaki it is not a resort but more like a village. becouse they use euro and lira the local shops try and rip you off by saying it is euros when it is priced in lira for locals if you like a walk after tea this is not the place to go as there really is nowhere to go

Fab resort, great for families and couples.
Fantastic beaches. Plenty to see and do, shopping, sight seeing and great night life.

The resort of Colakli is under development give it a couple of years I think it could be nice. Not really alot happening you need to visit Kumkoy or Side for Bars and clubs. The beach was ok lots happening banana boats,jet skis and Boat Trips. The resort has lot going for it but needs time to improve.

Side is great! The sun kiss restaurant staff treated us brilliantly and made us feel extremely welcome, they even had real English sausages!
We booked trips with Baba boat and Oscar helped us lots he was excellent as were the rest of the gang they couldn't do more for us even bought us drinks so big thanks for their help. Their trips were first rate and we thoroughly enjoyed the white water rafting.
Kingfisher restaurant another great place with board games for families to play.
Lots of discos and restaurants with dancers everywhere.
Beach is lovely just like warm bath and very clean but salty.
I would definitely visit side again same hotel as well.
Not too many touts and I found that once I said no they didn't pester me again.
Only let down was resort had lot of German tourists but as with anything else if you ignore them they certainly ignore you ha ha.
Can't wait to re visit Side many happy memories had by our family.

Side was picturesque and an all around nice place to stay. There was little litter on the street and looked beautiful with lots of flowers and trees to give it that warm feeling.
The entertainment was OK. The beach had lots of activities to try such as para gliding and banana boating. It also has some henna tattoo scribers which the 14 year old companion had and it looked lovely.
The beach itself was lovely and we would often spend most of the day there. The sea was clean but the bed was stony and you had to watch your feet. It was packed but this is due to other hotels being situated on the beach and as always there was a variety of restaurants and bars.
