This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It was very clean in all areas.
The only fault with the food was that there was too much choice.
It was at the quiet end of the resort which suited us fine as we like a walk but our son and his mate thought it was a hike to the nightlife. All bars on the way though.
The staff were always polite and did their jobs well.
The entertainment was good and non stop through the day and you could join in if you wanted with no pressure if you didnt want to.
All in all an excellent holiday made so with an excellent standard of hotel. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Martin, Trudy, Nadine & Becki stayed in this fabulous hotel for the first two weeks in July.
The cleanliness was 5* hotel rating the smallest piece of litter was removed immediately. Rooms were to an excellent standard.
The hotel food although plentiful and of very good quality did become repetitive. I would recommend B & B basis as eating out is excellent value for money.
Almost at the northern end of the resort it was ideal for peaceful evenings and still only a 10 minute walk from the centre.
The majority of the staff were helpful, friendly and keen to ensure your stay was memorable. Particular thanks should go to Melen (Barman) Iro (DJ in the nightclub) and Marriana (Waitress), these three were outstanding and they were a credit to their professions. The three of them made us feel unique with their attentiveness. Thank You All, we will always have fond memories of you. We will be back.

Read reviews before we booked was not disappionted the hotel was fab staff were great. The only thing was you had to pay extra for a sea view room but for

What a great hotel.
Location great 20 yards from the beach.
Food great good choice everyday.

The hotel for cleanliness was outstanding. On our first day we had a small leak from our shower, we told the cleaner and whilst we were at breakfast (the same morning) there were workmen in our room fixing the problem. Everyday the rooms were cleaned and aired. At night we even saw the cleaning lady sweeping sand up outside the hotel, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very child friendly, lifts, ramps, cots etc.. Our friends baby had a wonderful time in the swimming pool.
Where the hotel is located it is excellent and only a few meters from the beach an a small walk into the town. There was wide variety of food every night that suited everyone.
The entertainment at the hotel was great and lots of activities to do during the day as well.
I would visit this hotel again as the 4 star rating is excellent.

We went on this holiday with another couple Ken and Lorraine and I personally thought it was the best holiday I have ever been on.
The hotel was spotless, the staff were fantastic and the food was typical hotel food if you find that ok, but it is that cheap to eat out we did most nights.
It is set in a very nice quiet part so there is no noise when you are sleeping, but just five minutes walk takes you to where it all happens.
I would recommend eating at the village restaurant if you like good meat loads of chice and the staff were fantastic.
I will be going back next year and taking my children as there is alot to do for them.

We have just returned from the Obzor hotel, it is a very well run hotel with good food ,and very clean,towels changed every day & beds changes regulary.
The only part we were disappointed was the pool area which was not big enough for the size of the hotel,and pool area not cleaned often enough. [though the pool was cleaned & tested every day]
We had a loveley holiday at golden sands, and would recommend this hotel.

This hotel is spotless, there are cleaners everywhere and when you hold open a door for them, (as all us brits do) they cant seem to take it in!
The food in the hotel is excellent but all I can say is go at the earliest time that way your food will be fresh and warm.
The location of the hotel is not the best but a short ride on the noddy train is a must and at only 1 lev (33p) it is the best way to see the whole of the resort! There is a fantastic cocktail bar that boasts the record for cocktails, GO THERE! you will not be dissapointed I got very very drunk for 14 lev (under a fiver) and I can drink!!
Yes there are a lot of Germans and my kids got told off a few times for being too noisy in the kids pool (because the older German ladies were doing water aerobics) so all of us Brits put in a complaint and nothing else was said, believe me you do have to voice your opinions in Bulgaria, but the country is worth it.

Well I have read many reviews on hotels in Bulgaria and all I can say is, pay that little extra and stay at a "branded" hotel (such as Iberostar or Rui), at least that way you can guarantee minimum standards!!
The Obzor is FANTASTIC - Get yourself a sea view room and you will have no problems at all - Im not going to bore you with the colour of the wallpaper etc.
But food was great (apparantely it has one of the best chefs in Golden Sands) loads of choice at the buffet and always hot. Maybe a bit too much Veal on the menu but, hey its nothing to complain about.
Rooms good size with minibar, tv, carpet(!), comfy beds. Rooms cleaned daily and new towels daily!
Great location just away from the buzz of Golden Sands but close enough to walk or hop on the mini train.
All in all I could not fault this hotel or resort. The general feeling is if you pay cheap in Bulgaria you will get second rate accommodation. Go for the OBZOR and you will have a great holiday!

The Iberostar hotel has got to be the best hotel in the resort. It is situated in the quieter end of the resort but is a short walk or train journey to the livelier end of the resort.
The rooms at the hotel have tv, mini bar, bath and shower and very comfortable beds. If you pay the little extra you get a superb sea view. The rooms are cleaned everyday with towels changed daily. The maids are really polite and the hotel staff are very friendly. The food at the hotel was lovely and there was nice meals each evening and the food was always hot. Even the fussiest of eaters could find something.
The hotel has a fantastic entertainment team who keep people occupied at all times, if you choose to join in. The entertainment team start at 10am in the monring with a childrens club, teeny club and activities for adults, eg rifle shooting, darts, bowls, bingo etc. They have a two hour break from 1pm-3pm and then start again from 3pm-5pm. Of an evening they have a childrens disco from 8pm-8.30pm and then put on a show from 9pm to 10pm. This is not to be missed
