The apartments are very clean and all have agood size balcony.
Entertainment could have been better at night time.The apartments are in main strip but laid back a little bit so you hear very little noise even with balcony door open.
I would use this complex again but would prefer to try the Rising star complex next time.

Have just returned from Vangelis. We were put in a block across the road from the main hotel complex so our view from the balcony was a grotty car park in every direction.
The swimming pool was nice but it does get terribly windy on occasions, so make sure the umbrella is steady or it will hit you on the head.
The inside pool is a total waste of space, I didn't see anyone use it in two weeks. The food in the hotel was ok but there were a lot nicer places to eat.
The location is perfect for the main street and the beach.
The entertainment was pretty dismal. There were only two entertainers to cover the days and nights and they tried hard but couldn't do it very well, we went out a lot.
The hotel itself is fine but I don't think it should be graded as a four star hotel.

We stayed at the vangelis in July of this year.
Rooms average size, air-conditioning very good and needed.
Although the hotel is classed as a 4* I am sorry to say I felt a 3* would have been a better description.
Reception staff not helpful, restaurant/bar staff better.
Entertainment - this was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel however last years entertainers (3 off) had moved on and 2 new entertainer brought in (1 of which is new to this kind of work) and although they tried their best the entertainment was pretty terrible. Very unprofessional and thrown together.
Drinks in the hotel are very pricey - we upgraded to All inclusive for the last few days and that saved a massive amount of money.

We are just back for the Vangelis we had an apartment facing the strip and thought it would be too noisy. To be honest it was absolutely fine, and it was great to sit in the balcony at night. Lovely sea views.
The air con was brill and kept the rooms really cool.The apartment are a good size with plenty of wardrobe space, they have kettles, toaster and mini oven all the crockery and cutlery were spotless. The maid were in every day apart from Sunday sheets &towels changed every two days.
The Vangelis are right in the middle of the strip but
we were never bothered with the noise of the karaoke bars.

Really enjoyed 11 nights in the Vangelis rooms were spotless and cleaned abot 5 times a week.
Hotel food was buffet style only ate breakfast it was good, pool was one of the best i've seen.
You are right in the center of everything we were a bit dissapointed in the entertainment there was no kids club that we were led to believe, but all in all fantastic holiday would go again.
Good air conditioning.

Just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Vangelis.
We stayed at the Vangelis in June 2004 and had a great time so came straight home and booked for 2005.
The hotel rooms were spotless, staff were friendly, the only disappointing point of the holiday was the entertainment, compared to 2004 was terrible. In 2004 the entertainment crew were on site with kids nearly all day and night.
You had a job to find a sunbed in the day and a table at night, this year it was spot the guest.
I would return to the Vangelis as the pool is great for the kids and the hotel is in an ideal location.

The Vangelis is a well maintained clean place to stay although it is probabaly best to check with your tour operater as some say balcony or terrace. If so you are likely to be on the bottom floor surrounded by trees with no view or, if your lucky, and have a view it's of the car park.
The hotel staff were friendly although when we first arrived we were not impressed with the room we had been given, so we asked our tour operater to transfer us to Tsokkos Gardens hotel and the staff at the Vangelis were quite rude. In the end we decided to stay at the Vangelis.
This is an ideal accommadation for people that just want a base and like to travel out and about, unless you want to listen to Aqua cartoon hereos twice a day.
The entertainment at night is like sitting in a working mens social club, bingo etc.
Also you will notice that sunbeds on the right hand side are not taken as there is no sun after midday and although the hotel policy states no reserving sunbeds you will still have to be up by 8.00 to get one.

We were in the block across from the reception but had a sea view to the left and to be honest this did not bother us as we were away from the general hustle and bustle of the hotel.
Rooms were very clean and of a good size, with towels etc changed regularly. Infact all areas of the complex were well kept/cleaned.
We were self catering and did not sample the food at the hotel once during our stay as there are so many good restaurants available.
Likewise the entertainment although our eldest 2 stayed with their friends on a couple of occasions and enjoyed what they saw.
The pool area is spacious and does not get too crowded although it is the usual scrabble for the sunbeds.
Staff we spoke to seemed helpful and happy to answer queries et.
