I chose this hotel as it had received many favourable reviews and we were not disappointed.We were given a 3rd floor room in block C with pool and sea views.The room was very clean and was cleaned thorougly by the maid who came in 5 times weekly.
The location is exellent only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and with a great choice of bars and restaraunts in either direction.
We chose to eat out each evening so i cannot comment on the evening meals but we did have the all you can eat breakfast buffet which is 3 cyprus pounds per adult and 1.50 for a child , the choice was exellent with something for everyone (even families like mine who allways have one person who moans that they don't like anything on the menu)
I did exchange some travellers cheques in the hotel as it was sunday but after that I used the bank of Cyprus 2 minutes away where the rate was a lot better.
The pool is lovely and we did not find any problems getting a sunbed .The daytime entertainment is there if you want it but not intrusive , the pool has a separate area for water ball games so when there was a game of water volleyball non participents could swim/play in the main pool.We did not go to any of the evening entertainment.

I stayed in this hotel on the 21st july to the 4th august and it was the best 2weeks i have had in ages! the food was ok but some nights was abit cold there wasnt much of a selection but was nice when was cooked proberly.The staff were very helpful and very friendly escially the waiters! the pool was great was a very good size and was good for little children! the entertainment was ok some nights and other nights it wasnt but everybody got up and joined in if that was necessary.And we also met some very nice people from wales and essex !! i would go again but next time i would go self catering!

We had a lovely holiday in Vangelis this summer. The apartments were very clean and had air conditioning which was essential as it was very hot in July.
They are in a brilliant position right on the main street in Protaras with loads of good bars and restaurants just a short walk away. We only ate in the hotel once and it was fine but there was such a good choice locally and we like to try different places.
The pool area is lovely and we never had any problem getting sunbeds. The hotel was pricey for drinks and ice lollies but there is a little supermarket just in front on the main road. I would recommend Vangelis to anyone looking for a good family holiday.

lovely and clean.entertainers worked really hard cass kate & kris . the two prs were great is it barbara and husband or is it margaret . anyway they were lovely people.plenty for the kids to do .infact only seen them for food. would go back in a few years time .a great family holiday .

We had a great holiday here. The Vangelis is centrally located just across the road from the beach. The pool area did tend to get a little crowded and towels were on the sunbeds from an early hour but you could always get a bed. Our daughter had a fantastic time and we were able to use both the indoor and outdoor pool all day. The area was kept very clean to the extent that when someone had a "little accident" in the kids pool it was closed until it had been disinfected. The kids club was excellent and the Airtours entertainers were brill, worked really hard and weren't too in yer face. if you didn't want to join in you were left alone. Evening entertainment by Airtours was good but the local acts were a bit iffy. Rooms were fine we had a room in block C overlooking the pool, maid came in every day and towels and sheets changed every day. We enjoyed it so much we booked to return this year. However, having read the great reviews for Rising Star we have decided to change accomodation to there. This by no means reflects badly on Vangelis I would highly recommend it. Can't comment on the food as we never ate there. One tip, get your ice creams from the shop on the main road, there is a path at the back of pool. (they're much cheaper than the pool bar. All in all BRILLIANT,can't wait to get back in August 04

I enjoyed my stay at the Vangelis and would go back there anytime.
The location was brilliant and fig tree bay was very close and so were many shops.
The hotel staff were lovely and helpful.
