Our friends had visited this Hotel on six previous occasions and had asked us to go with them nearly every year and are we glad that this year we did. Dia and Steve and their family could not have made us,and all of their other guests, more welcome. I honestly think that the two weeks we had at the Cronulla were amongst the most relaxing in my life. We noticed that nearly all of the guests had been before and that in itself helped to create such a friendly atmosphere. The cleanliness of the Hotel was first class and the food in the snack bar was excellent although i did have to explain to a fellow guest that it was a snack bar and not a Restaurant when she commented that they did not have Kleftiko, Stifardo etc on the menu. I must say that Thomas the barman, and owners son, was excellent company on the afternoons i could not take any more sunbathing and had to retreat to the bar, he has every text joke in England sent to him and enjoyed explaining them to me when the alcohol would not let me work them out for myself. All in all a fantastic holiday and our friends will not wait another six years for us to join them next time.

Hotel was excellent, must say though that as with most greek apartments the accomodation was very basic please dont expect European/American standards and you will be fine!!

The Staff are all brilliant and so friendly especially Dia in the resraunt who really made you feel welcome. The food is ideal for lunch and it comes in mountain size portions!!!

Robbie on reception also deserves a mention as we booked direct and she really made sure the whole transaction went really smoothly.(Thanks!!)

Overall would I recommend it to others?? Definitely!!!
I will certainly be going back!!

We stayed for 2 weeks with a large party of 17 people whos ages ranged from 12 to 80. I found it to be a lovely family run hotel, very fairly priced, clean and friendly.
During our stay a family emergency called for 7 members of our party to return home immediatly. The staff at the Cronulla could not have been more compassionate and helpfull, arranging taxis and flights.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel especially with the lovely Dia as a host and aided by her charming family.
We'd also like to pass on our thanks to the wonderful Ellie, if ever a waitress could could light up a room with a smile, she could! She was so courteous and friendly, she really did take care of us.
If I was forced to make a criticism of this hotel, then the only comment I would make is that it's a bit too hot by the pool table and the internet area!!!

The Cronulla is located midway along the main Kalamaki strip. It's adjacent to the Drunk Corner Pub, bearings wise and most visitors to Kalamaki will have walked past the Cronulla during their visit.

It's main feature is the large (by Greek Island standards) swimming pool which dominates the front of the property, this may put people off initially the fact that it's adjacent to and facing the main road. However the ground is lower to the street and there is a metal railing runs the length of the frontage and it doesn't detract from the wonderful pool nor do passers by encroach on poolside sunbathing & swimming. The property can only be accessed from the front via the large Cronulla Bar area which also fronts the street.

The pool area is tidied up every evening with all rubbish removed and beds straightened, it's immaculate. There is also a jacuzzi which goes on twice a day for an hour or so. The pool was cleaned every other evening to rid it of sand and debris, however on closer inspection it could have been cleaner on the pool walls as they were looking distinctly grubby for so early into the season. The pool area is open to non residents as is the norm in Greece and this facility is taken up by many people because the pool is so large and must look very inviting from the road.

All food and drink must be purchased from the snack bar and you can't bring in your own snacks, although we did bring 1lt water bottles down from our room every day with no problems.

My only complaint regarding the pool area is the fact that the sunbeds are of the hard white plastic variety and can get very uncomfortable, the Cronulla do have soft mattress's to place on them but they charge 2EU per day to hire them ! I think this is wholly inappropriate if your staying at the apartments and if they must charge then surely there could be a weekly rate for residents. Otherwise for one week for 2 people this can add

We stayed on a self catering basis and found that the food was cheap to buy from the hotel itself and the other restaurants around it. The service was second to none as the food was extremely tastes and the value for money was excellent. On numerous occasions I had to leave part of the meal because there was so much of it.

I found that the bar was one of the best around with great entertainment from the staff behind the bar which is run on a night by the two brothers Jimmy and Tommy and also the drinks are very reasonably priced.

I was amazed by the amount of pride that the cleaners took in there work. They even folded my nightwear and clothes that were always scattered on the floor which I have never had done in any other hotel. I was very pleased.

The hotel is run by family with others also working there. As my grandparents had been going there for a number of years before I went I felt that I was part of there family as they knew us so well. All of the staff were very friendly and did there up most to make us feel as welcome as possible and it worked as I'm planning to go back there in May 2007 with other family members that have never been before. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I feel that I am part of there family now and for staff to make you feel that way shows you how great they are.

Along with Jimmy and Tommy entertaining everyone at the bar they also have great TV's that show football and anything else you would like to watch. I was there last year when england was playing and I must say that I have never come across such a good atmosphere in my life. A Greek night is usually held every other week which I missed because I only stayed a week but the others stayed for two weeks and said that it was great.
