we had booked last minute with first choice accomodation on arrival.arriving at airport we were gicen the zante maris.couldn't have chosen a better choice ourselves.the hotel room was very spacious and well equipped airconditioning unit which we could control not on timer.t.v with movie channels,tea and coffe making faclilities which were topped up daily,comfy suede sofa to sit on and nice coffe table.bonus of fridge behind unit door so it was hidden to fit in with decor.very nice beds and very clean,sheets were changed 3 times within 1 weeks stay.large bathroom with clean towels daily also pool side towels provided daily.we were provided with soap shampoo bubble bath cottonwool balls emery board and cotton buds also a sewing kit,all topped up daily.bathrobes were provided along with slippers.the cleanliness of hotel was excellent rooms and toilet cleaned every day the mades even washed tea cups which i forgot one day.

breakfast was very nice as you could have traditional english or continetal and as much juice tea or coffee.never had the evening meal as we lie to dine out but heard from several people the food was really nice and you had a good choice.

location is excellent a short walk along road and you were in the land of bars and eating places,firstly you have to pass greek restaurant which was superb.a good choice if you like to be involved but not too noisy as you are out the way from the hussle of it all and don't get the noise.hotel staff were ace the greeks are very mannerable and nothing is a problem,the irish and scouse barmen are good crack, especially munchie the irish he is a scream,felt the irish lass behind bar was a bit unfriendly but dave and munchie make up for it.christos the manager is also very nice to speak to.the entertainment was not so hot saturday nights with cained and able are excellent entertainers they put on a good show and both good singers,the greek night is average but lets people see how they dance and entertain.can't say for any other nights as we went out but did hear an organist singer whilst getting ready and he was one to miss horrendous on the ears.

would come back to hotel again infact hoping to book now for september october.as it is only a new hotel opened april 2004 the entertainment is still in teething stages and guests make up in other ways they can always use the indoor pool or gym equipment,an excellent holiday recommended to anyone who reads this

I booked this on a late booking for my wife and I we were allocation on arrival. Had booked for 2 star b&b and got this lovely new hotel which is four or five star.

The rooms were very spacious and cleanliness was excellent,from the front door of hotel to beach entrance the hotel was spotless. The room consisted of air conditioning,fridge with complimentary bottle of cooled water to start us off,tea,coffee provided daily.

My wife took all cotton buds and cotton wool,only took up room in case as it was all provided daily. Shampoo, bubble bath ,conditioner,even a sewing kit was provided daily.

We got lovely bathrobes and slippers to use for the duration of our stay.

We were not so keen on the entertainment but went out and made our own so it did not affect our holiday.

We never ate in at night we used a local restaurant over road riannas, and then faulty towers which were both excellent.

We did manage to make breakfast twice and was pleased with the selection on offer both english and continental. All the staff were very helpful and polite to guests, the manager made the effort to speak with his guests, the bar staff were really good the lads were a good laugh and never a short measure given.
They were more or less the entertainers as they were good together as a team.

On the saturday night there was a young singer in, who normally performs with his brother, but as he was ill did a solo night. They are a must to stay in for as they put on a good show.

Any other night i wouldn't recommend. Also would not recommend this place for children as it is more a luxury hotel but don't cater for kiddies.t


The gym was also excellent and they are hoping to get the down stairs disco going as it is too hot to suffer heat down in basement.

Me and my wife would recommend this hotel to any one looking for relaxing holiday in comfort at an affordable price.

We have just come back from staying at the Zante Maris.

The food was fab and most of the bar staff we really helpful and friendly, the other staff we pleasant but not all spoke good english.

The location is fantastic right on the beach and the only thing we could say that was negative was about the lack of entertainment, there was a greek night and a keyboard player (but he leaves a lot to be desired !!) and the fact that the jacuzzi is only turned on for half an hour twice a day.

But a fab hotel, in a fab location

We stayed in the Zante Maris for a week arriving 15 June 2004. The hotel is of an excellent standard and the location is right on the beach. The rooms were clean and spacious and you were even given your own towelling bath robes and slippers. We found all of the staff very helpful and friendly. One small problem, depending on the time of day was the water pressure and the temperature of the water. At busy times there was hardly any hot water and the shower and taps just dribbled a small amount of water. The rooms have remote controlled air conditioning which was excellent.

The Greek man is still playing the keyboard two nights a week and he still isn't that good but I actually felt quite sorry for him.... There are two English singers on a Saturday night who are excellent. On other nights there was a quiz, greek dancers and also 3 people singing in greek. I think there might have been bingo but the football was on which took priority!

The only downside about this hotel is that even if you get up at the crack of dawn, all of the sunbeds by the pool have been 'reserved' with towels on them and there really weren't enough beds for the number of people staying at the hotel. Although the hotel is situated right on the beach the sunbeds on the beach are owned by the council and you have to pay 6 Euros for two sunbeds and a beach umbrella.

Our board was bed & breakfast and there was plenty of choice every morning. You could choose from cereal to a cooked breakfast and there were loads of different breads etc.

This Hotel (as advertised)is adult focussed which suited us and there are few facilities for children.

Overall I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone going to Zante and I will be returning at some time in the future.

Just back from a week's holiday at the Zante Maris.

Great Location right on the beach front.

Spacious rooms, great air conditioning (remote controlled), extremely clean, always could find a sunbed, no creepy crawlies, Sky movies, fridge, friendly staff, good, cheap snacks from the beach bar... the list is endless.

hotel accomodation was great, comfy beds,air conditioning,tv,fridge and everything you need from a hotel room.staff were very friendly and helpful.breakfast was worth getting up for,choice for all wether light breakfast or full english type( no need for lunch after this)large pool if you like sunbathing at hotel, but beach and sea only 50 mtrs from hotel.
didnt see much of entertainment as we dined out at night, saw the 2 brothers who were quite good singers.

Just spent a week at the Zante Maris, it was a very impressive hotel, breakfast was very nice big varied choice, the pool bar had a nice choice of snacks. The hotel was very clean, room was tidied and cleaned every day.
Spacious room had a fridge/air con/ tv-movie channel/slippers /dressing gown/shampoo/bath foam /soap/sewing kit/ cotton wool/buds and nail file little extras you wouldn't expect.
The locatation of the Zante Maris is superb, right on the beach a very short walk to the shops , bars and restaurants.
The only night we stayed for the entertainment was on saturday the singing brothers, they were very good and enjoyable, during the day there was organised games in the pool.
The indoor pool was pure bliss, it was always empty when i went in there so i managed to swim lots of lengths every day, the indoor pool also has the gym and a sauna... its a very nice area of the zante maris , a place where you can chill out and relax.
Hotel staff were very friendly although we didn't need to use them as we had no problems at all, leigh the first choice rep was helpful and friendly.

We have just returned from two weeks at this hotel. The rooms were very spacious. We paid extra for a full sea view and it was well worth it - our room was only yards from the beach. The hotel staff were very friendly including the cleaning staff who worked very hard. We would definitely return to this hotel. The resort centre was close at hand with so many restaurants to choose from. The only down side was that sunbeds by the pool were reserved from very early in the morning - even though the hotel allegedly had a policy of removing towels from sunbeds that hadn't been used for some time. However, the beach was so close it wasn't a problem to get sunbeds there. Overall an excellent holiday in a very comfortable hotel in a good resort.

Staying at Hotel Zante Maris is the best holiday i've ever had! The hotel was fantastic! I really enjoyed my stay and the hotel was very clean and tidy. The rooms were cleaned every day, and new towels were supplied. The hotel even supplied you with dressing gowns and slippers! It had only opened earlier this year but lived up to my expectations. The food was pretty good but instead of having a buffet maybe in a 4 star hotel it should be a proper restaurant with waiters serving you. The location of the hotel was brilliant being right on the sea front and if you couldn't get a sunbed round the pool which was highly unlikely there was always the beach as another choice. That was the only real problem, even getting up at the crack of dawn the sunbeds were all taken up. Some people must even put them on the night before even though the hotel had a rule which stated your towels would be removed if they were left unattended for a period of time. The hotel staff were very friendly and were always there to help. There were quite a few english members of staff who worked behind the bars so that was good and it was nice to get to know them. The entertainment in the hotel was very good. Dave the entertainment manager always tried his best and made sure the guests were enjoying themselves. The two english brothers who performed on Saturday nights were really good, and the quiz nights were a laugh. If your interested in sports, during the day Dave provided games of water polo and water volleyball which were excellent and lots of fun.(even though Dave liked to cheat a lot!!!) I would definetly visit the hotel again, hopefully later this year! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for an enjoyable holiday with entertainment included in your stay. You do not need to leave the hotel to have a good night. Everyone is very friendly, especially the english who work there. And i would just like to say a special thanks to Dave who made my stay really enjoyable and fun. He is always up for a laugh and a good night out!! Also thanks to everyone else who made my holiday so brilliant, the rest of the bar staff and the other guests i met!
