Not very many Brits when we were on holiday, mostly Spanish,German and Belgians. Germans there usual ignorance,Spanish ok.

Belgians really nice people. The hotel was really nice, the staff were friendlly and the food was decent.

We would not be in a great rush to go back as we felt a wee bit isolated from the main resort.

We were originally booked to go in the Zoraida Park but on arrival in Almeria the rep advised us that the majority of guests were Spanish in the hotel so reccommened that we changed to the Zoriada Gardens which we did.

We were very pleased with the hotel we had a room overlooking the lagoon pool and beach. The hotel was very clean, the cleaners cleaned the room everyday with towels changed everyday if required(they asked that you put them on the floor if you wanted them changed)

The food was also good with a buffet section which catered for all nationalities. The food was hot and varied, fruit always available and salads were available with dinner and evening meal. There was also a section at the far end of the dining room that you could chose food and have it cooked will you waited (we used that everyday.) We were very impressed. The reason I gave the food 4 stars instead of 5 was that the children's selection was more limted although that didn't affect our children they were happy to try other dishes.

The location of the hotel was excellent with the beach right on your doorstep although we didn't used the beach as it was very shingly and the sea was quite choppy but that wasn't a problem as we used the lovely pool which our children loved and so did we!!!!!!!!

The hotel is located in a quiet area, and just out of the hotel to the right is a supermarket and homeopathic pharmacy and directly across the road there are 3 gift shops which had a large selection of gifts and leather goods and clothing. The hotel also had a very nice gift shop which was run by an English couple who were very friendly and helpful and also the prices were quite cheap.

The hotel reception staff were friendly and helpful as were the cleaners waiter/resses and most of the bar staff.

The hotel entertainment was good, aimed a bit more towards the Spainish guests later on in the evening, but there was a mini disco at 8-9pm then the adult entertainment after which was mainly live music in Spanish. On our last night there was a really good flamenco show which was done by a teenage flemenco group who performed excellently.

We would definitely reccommend this hotel and would like to visit again in the future.

we stayed at this hotel for a week in july on a last minute holiday. the weather was great we did not see a cloud for a week. hotel was clean, food was adequate, buffet style, also separate part that cooked food fresh including breakfast. the restaurant seemed to get busy after 9.00pm. overall a very nice hotel and we would consider going back there.

This hotel is next door to the Zoraida Park Hotel and in our opinion is the nicer of the two. We stayed for 2 weeks on a half board basis.
Both hotels enjoy a beachfront location. The beach was very clean but is a shingle beach not sand. You do need to be careful when entering the sea as it becomes quite deep very quickly (6-7 feet within a few steps). There are plenty of sunbeds on the beach if you require them.
The hotel entrance and reception is quite spacious and there are numerous plants on several balconies up to the roof which were quite impressive. The foyer and reception were clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and courteous. The rooms were fine.Nothing special but we did not spend much time in them so it did'nt really matter.
We found the food quite adequate and there was a reasonable good variety over the holiday. There was the usual breakfast options catering for the bacon and egg brigade and a number of other healthy options. We always found the evening meals were hot and there was a good choice of meats etc catering for a wide variety of people. There was plenty of salad to and various cakes and ice creams.
The pool is quite large with a fountain in the middle and we had no problem getting a sunbed in the mornings
The sunbeds are basic wooden slatted beds but you can hire a mattress for 1 euro a day which is a small price to pay for the comfort. There were activities at the poolside daily with water aerobics for about 40 minutes which was a good laugh even if you just watched it..!!!
There is a large outdoor entertainment area which was very nice and faced a fairly large stage and dance area. The bar was fine and we got served quite quickly
by friendly and courteous staff.
We liked the fact that the entertainment staff involved the children and adult holidaymakers in there productions over the week and this was supplemented on other nights by various entertainment.
Overall this was a quiet place (out of school holidays) but we had a very relaxing time. We saw 1 cloud in 2 weeks.
We liked it very much and we are going again in July 2004 for another 2 weeks.
