Santa Susanna is a good base to visit Barcelona for the day. Barcelona is about 1hr away on the train and the train is very cheap. We visited Santa Suzanna at the end of October and it was coming to the end of the season so there was not very much going on, the waterparks and boat trips were all closed. Santa Suzanna is a nice resort and good base to visit other resorts along that coast

Resort was lovely and clean with a variety of activities - beach, shopping or sight-seeing - whatever you fancy.
We did not need to use the entertainment at the resort as we stayed at the hotel, but from what we saw there were plently of pubs & clubs to suit all tastes.

i would definitely visit the resort again because we thought it was lovely. the resort, the beach and the weather made our holiday better than if we had of been stuck in the hotel for the duration!
i would definitely recommend visiting the resort but stay clear of the santa susanna resort hotel!!!

Resort was ok but felt it needed some money spending on it the best entertainment was hotel based,not just the Aquarmarina but others we visited as well.
Sun beds very expensive and of poor quality on the beach.
Water taxi was brilliant and so convienient

A good resort. There is a long promenade which leads in to another resort. Lots of shops, bars and cafes. Long beach which stretches for miles. The sand is rough and the beach shelves steeply into the sea.

A small resort, not many shops and those that were are all selling the same thing. Didnt think enough shops for the amount of hotels/apartments in the area. Train 6E pp to Barcelona. Beach coarse sand but shakes off towels easily,shore shelves quickly and within a few feet of entering water are up to 4 ft had to keep eye on younger child as quickly out of his depth. Not enough variety of entertainment for us.

The resort was clean and modern with plenty of shops and cafe's. We did not see much entertainment as stayed outwith the resort. The beach was lovely although busy in some parts. There a a few secluded parts of the beach which were great for families. There are lifeguards also at the beach who appear very vigilant and watchful. There is a boat which you can pay for a trip along the Costa Brava. The sights are nice and staff onboard very friendly. There are regular mini trains to take you into neighbouring towns like Malgrat. This is a good service. I would visit this resort again in the future.

The resort was set alongside the train which gave access to Barcelona where we spent a day sightseeing. The beach at Santa Susanna is very, very steep, 45 degree angle into the water, no chance for any young children to play safely on the waters edge. The main "strip" is along one side of the road with many cafes/bars but if you wanted something a little special, there was no establishment in resort. Waiter service was very slow, on one occasion, it took 10 minutes to take our order and we left after waiting another 10 minutes, went to a local supermarket and bought a carton of wine which we drank in our hotel room!
