Largest Rooms are in the newly refurbished rooms around the low 2000's. If you have mobility problems let reception know they will try to get you a room close to the bars/reception and no stairs to climb.

Sousse is a good place to base yourself if you want to see Tunisia. The trains and buses are good once you get used to them and the taxi's are cheap if you aren't going too far.

The weather in February wasn't great, it was warm but not sunny and it did rain a couple of days. It was good for siteseeing but not for sunbathing.

The market in the centre of Sousse is great, there are lots of bargains to be had but you have to barter. There are some great cafes and cheap places to eat. In February lots of the hotels seemed to be closed so it wasn't as buzzing as I'm sure it is in the summer.

I would stay in Sousse again.

the resort of sousse is beautiful but do expect a lot of hassle in the local shops and markets.also it is very difficult to relax in peace on the beach as every 10-20 minutes you are hassled about buying cheap cigarettes, food, bongo drums and anything else the locals can get their hands on!! simply say "shookram" pronounced shockram and 9 times out of ten they will go on their merry way. but if you are interseted then haggle very hard and you should end up paying no more than a third of the original asking price. this go's for everything you purchase as well as taxi's!!
happy holidaying...)

Overall very happy, really enjoyed the sword man with his evening entertainment. Could have been a bit more for the kids though.

Very nice beach, but it did get a bit annoying having to move fag ends before the youngest could play in the sand.

Really pleased with this choice.

Skanes itself is made up of hotels. The Mirama Hotel next door has an English run bar where I’m told you can get a cup of Tetley’s tea!! And a load of washing done for 5 dinar! There is also a small supermarket there, which is adequate, but don’t expect Tesco!
We had no reason to leave the hotel, due to there being everything you could possibly wish for there, but felt we should have a trip into Sousse. We travelled by local bus which was an experience, but very cheap! Sousse is just what we had been lead to believe, but we were pleasantly surprised by the local shopkeepers. We found them very polite and not at all pushy.
The taxis are very good, but be prepared to haggle for a good price.
The First Choice rep was very good, but we didn’t really need her for anything!

Sousse really is dirty, smelly and not much to do when you are away from hotels in my opinion. Port el Kantoui is a much nicer place and would definately return to Port el again but not to Sousse.

Good resort but wrongly located.

The beach was not very clean and you were always being asked to buy things from the locals who walked along the beach.

Entertainment was non existant for over 15s.

I would never visit Tunisia again.

The beach was perfect, i dont normally swim in the sea, but i couldn't stay out of it. The water was so clear and warm. The beach was clean and extremely safe. Police reguarly patrol the beach on horseback. Our beach was owned by the hotel and sellers were not allowed on it.

The Medina is close by, good for haggling and getting bargains. Sellers are quite persistant and you have to have your wits about you. But a real eye-opener!

Didn't go out much in the evenings. We ate in the hotel and when we did venture out we saw gangs of locals hanging around and two approached us to buy drugs. We felt safer within the grounds of the hotel.

Sousse was not very clean but was pretty and entertaining, especially the haggling!!!

The kids club on an evening was superb, due to semi and his mini disco. Didnt go in the night club but heard it was ok if you were single!

Would i go again?........... too right!!

The resort is as clean as could be expected and cleaner than some I have been to in Europe!

They have certain disco's like Bora Bora which is good and they have many shopping centres which are really good!

The resort was not very clean, but having be to Tunisia when I was a child, we were expecting this. They have no idea about bin collection.
The beach was lovely, clean and quiet. with plenty to do, windsurfing, pedalo, parachute etc.
In Port el kantaoui, there is a zoo, and a water park, the evenings entertainment was great and we throughly enjoyed ourselves.
