This hotel was the first that did not have a microwave in the room. The toilet ran all night and even flush by itself. The T.V. only played 5 channels. my wife and i called for front desk to fix it but they never came. I ended up fixing it myself. There were lots of bugs crawling around dead and alive.there was lots of noise being made by staff around 2 to 4 in the morning while the guest were sleep. No one was helpfull in finding things like disney world. The wifi did'nt work proper which kept me from checking important e-mail. The fan in the bathroom was loud. The heater only work on two speeds full blast heat and full blast cold. I would advise another location for a better stay.

As we pulled up in front of 5858 International Drive, the front of the hotel and the grounds looked pretty inviting. As we proceeded to check in, I started looking around. Not bad I thought of the lobby.
As we got to our room, reality slapped us in our face!
This Days Inn is a dump.
*One working ice machien on the property, and if you pick the right time of the day, you might just get ice.
*Laundry room: 4 washers 4 dryers...2 washers worked and only one dryer worked.
*Corridors look like something of a mistery movie...seconds before one gets mugged!!! Way too dark!
*No coffee maker in rooms. Not even a two cup!
*I made our beds six of the ten days we were there.
*Towels were really not an issue, after sending my oldest to retrieve them from the house keeper who continusly passed my room.
*Toilet paper! This is a classic! I had to borrow a roll from another room!!
I requested from front desk...had time to wait on the IRide, go get dinner and come back to our room...no TP!! Called at 9:04 pm that same night...was informed that the front desk only had one roll and he would send it up shortly. Shortly? Called back at 10:57pm...was told that I need to come and get it.After arguing that point it was delivered at 11:17pm. Meanwhile I had to go next door and bum a roll. Crazy and insane!!
*Refridgerators!!! Theres a waiting list!! A waiting list for crying out loud! Everyday we had to call the front desk to see if one was available. We ended up buying a stryo cooler, and every night going to the gas station or the next door Seven Eleven for a bag of ice. Unreal!!
I am a true believer of "you live and you learn" I have lived through this nightmare and learned never to book there again. For a few more dollars, I wouldn't have had to beg for toilet paper!!

The reception area and grounds are ok and the staff were friendly. The maid came in every day and left an adequate supply of towels, toilet rolls, tissues and toiletries. The room was shabby, dirty and smelled of cigarettes and dogs. The paint was peeling, with mould growing in the bathroom. The sink was badly cracked and patches of scum round the bath. The water was cold during the day. The curtains and pelmet were dusty and some of the elecrical sockets were parting company with the walls. Some of the lights did not work and the security lock on the door was broken.

I have just come back from a 10 day stay at the Days Inn, International Drive. Firstly I would like to point out that there are two Days Inn hotels on international drive so please be sure you are reading the right reviews. This Days Inn is situated opposite the Pitch and Put golf.

I thought the hotel was perfect for our needs, me and my boyfriend are a young couple who were looking for a pleasant hotel which is close to all the ammenities. We were a 5 minute drive from Universal Studios - couldn't be better! Free shuttle buses to all the disney parks, universal, seaworld and even bush gardens!! 2 minutes from wet n wild!!

the rooms were clean!! please don't be put off by one persons opinion of a 'dirty room'. our beds were changed daily and new towels every day also. We had satelite tv, hairdryer, telephone - free local calls, two large double beds etc. seriously I cannot see why people are complaining, I had no complaints what so ever!!!

If you are looking for a basic hotel, close to all the attractions its perfect!! How much time do you spend in your room anyway?

Only one word describes this place.....AWFUL ! Please re-book if you have already booked here (it really is that bad)- honestly I wouldn't send my dog here. It is an embarrassment to America.

Dirty rooms (my kids' feet were black after walking barefoot on the carpets !) no facilities, small cold pool and we were woken each morning at 5.30am by the skip lorries emptying the restaurant next door's bins.

Staff mainly Hispanic so makes complaining very difficult.

Certainly not a place for kids- it is a fourth rate motel not a Hotel. I am only surprised that this place has only just been listed on Holiday Truths - I felt it was my moral duty to fellow travellers to warn others to avoid it.

Though Orlando is generally a fun filled place -this hotel will only service to spoil your holiday.

My list of complaints were endless to the travel agent and I had a

I just wanted to clarfy that this hotel - address 5858 International Drive is opposite the Sheraton Studio City Hotel on I Drive (the one with the green glass cylindrical tower).

Alot of confusion has arisen as this hotel/motel has changed its name a few times..it was a Ramada Inn when we stayed there and presently belongs to the Comfort Inn chain.

There are many Ramada Inns and Comfort Inns within the area so I think that you will always get conflicting reports.

It was truely awful when we stayed there, but it can only be hoped that with new ownership this may be dragged up to some sort of basic standard inside.

However the bins being collected from the next door restaurant at 5.30 EVERY morning (and don't you know it !), and the freezing cold, and really small swimming pool would be enough to ensure that I would never risk it again !

The Bates' Motel! It was that bad! I looked this one up for a laugh and saw the other report.

It was a while since we were there and it would be interesting to see any new reports.

The room was disgusting, mold on the ceiling, holes in the carpet and bedding, we had to stay one night then upgraded.

Plus the location is poor, a fair walk to the main road over a few huge freeways, take your life into your own hands! Stay away from this one!!!!
