We stayed in the Pyramid and it was excellent, what an experience.

The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated in the Egyptian theme, very large comfy beds and large walk in showers. We ordered room service on a couple of occassions and the staff were helpful and the food arrived promptly and hot.

The hotel itself was really amazing, the attention to detail with the statues and decor was incredible, very clean and light hotel.

There are various places to eat within the Luxor and all of them provided excellent value (with huge portions, expected when visiting the USA)

Not as many shops within the hotel as in some of the other hotels but that wasnt a problem as the position of the luxor hotel meant that the other shops were easily accessable.

The casino was massive, clean and a hive of activity 24 hours a day, you never felt that it was over crowded although it did take a day or two to orientate yourself.

Being in the Pyramid (there are two other tower blocks)gave us access to the inclinators,(these are lifts that travel up each corner of the Pyramid) the good thing about this was that you couldnt use the lifts unless you were staying in one of these rooms, (very good security system)you had a room key card that you entered into a slot in the lift, very clever.

We stayed in vegas 18 months ago and on our return have had a bit of a shock, timeshare has come to Vegas in a very big way......unfortunately this was probably the only downside to this hotel, they get you before you can get rid of your suitcases, they lure you with free shows and free food but if we said that we were going home tomorrow they would leave us alone, i must just say that the timeshare booths were in every hotel you went into and also in the connecting walkways between them.

There is a "players Club" comp scheme, sign up for it as we did and got points every time we played in the casino, not only our casino but numerous others, we ended up having free meals and money back which was taken off of our room bill.

Another excellent facility was the speed check out, where you checked out through the tv and didn't have to queue at reception.

All in all a fantastic holiday in a very unusual and amazing hotel and we will definately be returning in 2007.

After reading reviews saying that the hotel was not as good as it used to be ie in need of refurbishment, I was a bit apprehensive of what to expect. I think that the people who put bad reports in were staying somewhere else!!!

We cannot fault anything apart from the harassment of the timeshare desk (in every hotel).

The checking was smooth, the room immaculate, the staff were very helpful (even without tips!!!)

I also thought that the location was not that bad because within minutes without going outside you can either be in the Mandalay Bay or Excalibur and then with bridges and escalators you can be in the New York, Tropicana or the MGM. I like the atmosphere in the Luxor it was very relaxing with gentle music being piped through. Just one bad comment to make the rooms are not that 'soundproofed' but that is in the fault of the building not the staff but worth mentioning.

The food is very good and good value.

The casino is not as 'stifling' as some casinos and I won more money there too. You can join the One Club which is a reward programme that doesn't expire for 18 months (an excuse to go back!!) we forgot to redeem our points though. Yes we would stay again in the Luxor well recommended

This holiday was a 5 day add on holiday after sailing from Southampton to New York then flew to Las Vegas.

The hotel is very impressive with the Egyption theme, the only minus was when we arrived, it took us nearly 1 hour to check in then we got lost trying to find our room with little or no help from staff but apart from that it was a great hotel.

Very clean, the rooms was cleaned and made up every morning (unless you left notice not to disturb)the location is at the end of the strip (sorry, now called "las Vegas Boulavard")

But this is no hard ship as there is plenty of transport from the hotel, taxis, buses, tram, mono rail.

We did not go to any of the entertainment at the hotel but to all accounts it was very good. Yes I would go back to this hotel again if I ever went back to L.V.

Fantastic hotel !!!!!!!!!!!! absolutaly loved it and would highly recommend.

We stayed in one of the tower rooms, not the pyramid, which we heard were better, and this proved to be correct.

We had read about horror stories about checking in, but we had no problems what so ever, people moan about the location but theres the monorail an taxis etc available, the breakfasts and sandwiches are really nice and the whole place is fab , thats all i cam say to sum it up.

We stayed at The Luxor for 03nights, it was our first time to Vegas and was amazed has we walked in the hotel foyer it was huge! Excellent theme, the check-in was quick and efficient.

We had quite a walk to the room with our luggage, but hey were in Vegas whats to complain about! We choose the tower room which was large, had 2 double beds, seating area, nice bathroom which had bath, separate shower, large sink area, it was all nice and clean.

There are varied dining areas from Al carte to fast food, whatever suites your budget. The buffet I highly recommend, lots to choose from, you have to wait for table buts it's worth it.

The pool area is very nice, plenty of sunbeds, and you can collect fresh pool towels. A good thing is you can only use the pool area if you are resident at the hotel, there is a guard by the pool checking room keys for access.
The hotel is at the end of the strip, we walked down to the Belligo and the Fashion Valley but it was a walk we got a taxi back!

Loved Vegas and already booked for this year.

Ah the charms of Egypt!

The Luxor is a real good value for money place. Well situated, with a great pool area and cabanas at $100 per day. My friends and I always had a good suckle at the Nefrertiti lounge before sampling other delights such as Red Square, Ghost, Voodoo lounge, piano bar at New York New York and the Sky lounge at the Stratosphere!! Anyway, back to the Luxor.

Several bars and restaurants and a buffet that the gods would be pleased with. A 'must do' is the champagne brunch next door at the Mandalay Bay. Sunday mornings with all you can eat and as much of the fizzy stuff you can manage to get down in 2 hours! just do it! You know you want to, then head off to the pool to burn it off or maybes a melon colada! Enjoy!

We stayed in the Luxor for a week at the end of November beginning of December. We found our room to be clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful.
We were comped (You need to join the players club) our food bill for the whole of the week and ate very well indeed at the Luxor, although the portions of food were far too big for us.

THe only minus point is that the hotel is right at the South end of the strip but it is quite easy to get to the other casinos. We did not see any of the shows at the Luxor but saw three cirque du soliel shows. Ka at MGM ND 'o' at Bellagio are fantastic and not to miss.

I can not wait to go back to Vegas and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

I could not fault the hotel absolutely beautiful.

Staff were excellent.

Location superb it is very large so the only comment is you could get lost!!!

Virgin were superb they offer express check out so that when you check out of your room you deposit your luggage and you'd do not see it again until you return to your UK airport. Excellent idea!

Food excellent cannot wait to go back again.

What an experience! Very repeatable. In fact this was our second visit to the Luxor and the only reason I might go somwhere else next time would be just to ring the changes. I enjoyed it immensely.
