I was quite apprehensive about my first trip to Vegas.
I travelled with my husband and three daughters aged 17, 12 and 10. We were travelling around California and planned a trip flying over The Grand Canyon so going to Vegas fitted in.
I needn't have been worried we all had a fantastic time.
The hotel was beautiful, clean, and massive!!
Vegas is exccessive in every way but much less tacky than I thought it would be. We were sorry we hadn't stayed an extra night.
A definate reccommendation would be the flight over the Canyon which was a bit frightening as we had a lot of turbulance but worth the nausea!!
We had a wonder around the other Vegas hotels as each had different attractions but I was glad we had chosen the MGM. We couldn't fault it.

This is a huge hotel in a perfect location loved every minuet staying in the MGM Grand. rooms spacious and clean, the beds were so comfy & big, plenty to do all day & night this hotel never sleeps.
I asked for a room near the elevator, so glad I did as the corridors are huge. Was in the middle of the strip & the monorail was superb to get from 1 hotel to the next saved our feet [lots of walking].
Can't wait to go back to Vegas next year will definitely be staying in the MGN Grand again.

The MGM grand is like its name said it is grand. We found the hotel to be kept very clean, and the staff to be very helpful.
The pool areas are fantastic and if you are a guest you just show your room card and help your self to towels. We found the location to be great as you can walk across the walk-ways into the ny ny hotel one way and the tropicana hotel via the other walk-way.
You could then walk across to the excalibur which had a free mono rail which went straight to mandalay bay then you walk though to the luxor. Or get the mono rail back to the luxor.
Any way getting back to the MGM there is a rainforest cafe for the kids lots of really upmaket clubs and bars and of course the shows.
We went to the David Copperfield show and its was great even my 15 yr old was inpressed!

Its a big hotel, we did upgrade to a tower room ,the room was great ... had a great time only drawback the casino staff very moody never smiled....bill manchester
