Cala Dor is lively with plenty of bars and resturants. Its lovely to have a nice meal then just sit in the bars just watching the people go by. The resort is not geared for young people who are looking for clubs to party the night away. There are plenty of shops to browse in and sell stunning items.
I can well recommend this complex & resort if you are looking for a relaxed holiday.

Cala D'Or itself has a busy centre packed with restaurants and bars. The ones around the marina obviously being pricier. The beaches were small so got fairly crowded apart from one, most were clean except for Cala Egos which had very murky water and also had the nightmare accompaniament of 'family' hotels.

Very clean family orientated resort with plenty to do for all ages from amusements to fun bars, however if you like clubbing i suggest a different resort- Magaluf!
Plenty of shops & most bars showing films or football matchs during the day. At night the main throughtfare is full of colour, smells (different foods) & laughter at the various fun bars inc the "cocktail bar" which serves huge cocktails for up to six people. They also serve non alcoholic cocktails aswell.
As a relaxing, quiet family resort i recommend it!
Clubbers go elsewhere!
The beach i didn't like, too crowded, shops & bars expensive & please watch out for Jellyfish..We met a few people who had been stung......very painful!

This is a fantastic resort. There are beautiful beaches, plenty of shops, including designer shops, and bars and restaurants aplenty. There is also an exclusive marina and there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in this area too. The resort is friendly (apart from the staff in the Spar shop!)and feels safe. The only slight disadvantage is the distance from the airport (Palma) which takes a couple of hours on a coach.

The only thing that slightly marred the whole holiday was the fact that there was a lot of confetti size rubbish floating around the coved beaches. Probably caused by the propeller blades of the rich marina peoples boats after they had dumped the binbags overboard. The beach itself was still clean and sandy so it was only cooling off that was the problem. It would have taken about an hour to drag a net to clear the waste away.

The area is very British, so if you want to go abroad but not miss Eastenders and your favorite beer from home go there.
Plenty of shops with the usual tourist rubbish but others not so bad. Couple of supermarkets. Everything is located on one big long road heading inland. Clean area though

Cala Mondrago worth a visit but make sure you take plenty of suncream and a tea shirt as it can get very hot with a light breeze and you burn without knowing!
Great resort for couples to families and grandparents and teenagers very safe!!
Try Paco's bar directly below the main hotel Ca'an Brau-great food and you are made very welcome

Nice resort with a central bar/restaurant area making it easy of an evening to wander around having a meal/drink etc.
Depending where you're staying to reach the beach could be a hike, so if access to beach is priority 'Look Before You Book' and do your research.
A stroll around the Marina on an evening is nice, eyeing up all the yachts.

Very very clean! Safe at night. there is nightlife but you have to look for it. sandy coves well kept. No watersports. Quiet resort perfect for young families or couples wanting to relax.

Cala egos is close by to cala dor.It is fairly quiet but not boring choice of two good beaches at hand .Also a fair selection of bars/restaurants.Cala dor itself has more appeal....
