Amadores is a very small resort but with a small but fine beach and a vast number of really good restaurants and nothing else. There is no entertainment as such in the resort but some of the restaurants have live music on some evenings.

San Agustin is pretty tacky with little to recommend it. Pretty standard shops and restaurants. Puerto Rico is completely man made and, apart from the hotels and new build town, nothing cultural or architecturally interesting to report.
Which is a pity, because Gran Canaria has a lot to offer, with a trip to the centre and to Las Palmas well worth it.

San Augustin itself is a residential area with one shop, but Cala Mayor can easily be reached. The beach there was clean and well worth a visit. The shops were reasonable.

Nothing bad to say, it is a small resort so there is nothing really put in to glaming it up for tourists. There are small bars and cafes if you want a quiet evening out. The beach is small but lovely and sandy, clear water.
The only reason we wouldnt visit this resort again is because it is so quiet. Perfect if you like that sort of thing.

It was all okay in my eyes but... we are a family that prefers to hang by the pool with a drink in our hands. Plus its alot easier to keep an eye on the kids.
The beach was brill though and I enjoyed it very much on my visit!! Entertainment was okay some nights but others were abit naff!
I will def be going next year!!!!

Cala Millor is a 10-15 min walk down a very steep hill too much in the August heat. Better to jump on the courtesy bus and go into Palma Nova which is beautiful

the resort cleanliness was alright but it could have been better.
the resort entertainment? was there any? well we never saw any!
found small beaches dotted around but they were a considarable distance from the hotel.
no, we would strongly consider never going back.

the resort cleanliness was very good considering residential areas in england are a complete mess compared to them. there wasn't much entertainment in the resort but that is understandable as it is a residential area, but the entertainment there is has a very friendly atmosphere. the beache was very nice with pleanty of sun bathing facilities.

San Agustin leads straight into Cala Major, which is where the beach is.
The beach itself, although very small was really nice, and the water was really shallow.
Do be careful though, because the water is so shallow, you are tempted to go out a lot further, and not much further out is where the water sports take place, so you could lose your head!!!
