Resort was great located just outside Rio San Juan a trip into Rio shows what real life in the Dominican's all about they dont have much but always seem quite happy.

Can't fault the cleanliness of the grounds and complex itself well maintained and good attention to detail. Lots of people were bitten with sand fleas on the beach, they were quite a problem for some, but didnt affect our party much.

If you want to book excursions got to Campo Tours over the rickkety bridge at the bottom of the beach past the beach huts, they were the best, highly recomended is the Jeep Safari, take plenty of sweets, books or crayons for the kiddies as they run after the bus shouting for them, the Catamaran is well worth it to, stear clear of the lagoon and bacardi island, plagued with locals flogging there stuff and they are a nuicance.

All in all great hotel, great time, great weather I would definitly go back again

the beach was a bit of a dissapointment, massive sand banks spoilt the views. sea was rough and full of sea weed and rubbish, pleanty of sun beds and umbrellas.
the area travelling to the hotel from airport was very run down but it is like it all over dominican, if you can look beyond that you get a good holiday with very friendly people we have been before and love it.
i think some people are never satisfied and want something for nothing. the dominican is brilliant value for money and the added bonus is the sun shine.

Suan Juan itself is a poor town, and rely on tourists quite a lot. It is recommended that you don't leave your hotel in the Dominican without a local guide, but there are many tours available that will take you out and about.

Resort was excellent, very clean and tidy.

The beach was excellent very child friendly. The resort entertainment on Pueblo Principe was very good and catered for all ages.

Music was merengue style salsa and good beat I can still hear the Bahia Principe Song in my head, it had a lovely merengue beat. I wished I had bought the CD to bring back home as a memoir, which was always played at the end of the night which I really loved, however my husband had had enough of it after 14 days but it was very up beat with a positive vibe!

There's not a lot of beach left as just before we left it was being planted up with palm trees. If you do get onto the beach beware of the sand flies. My wife had 35 bites when she left. Some people had to go to the doctors for an injection as they were so bad.

The hotel was the only one on the reort. The resort was very small with hardly anything to do. You could not leave the resort as men with long swords were waiting on the borders of the resort.

The whole resort appeared spotless and the entertainment excellent although a little too late if you have children -as they were falling asleep and we missed the shows a lot. One of the pools dyed all our swimwear yellow/green and we were really disappointed in this because they were all new. The other pool with the bar was a little slimy at times due to all the suncream in the water.

The beach was kept thoroughly clean and there was always staff with a rubbish bag tidying up. We walked to the left of the beach and bought some huge shells from the locals - beautiful!!

Being the Dom Rep and given the location there is little opportunity to explore outside the complex unless it is as part of the organised trips. the adventure safari is highly reccommended.

The beach was cleaned every day and was perfectly good, its not the white sand that you get in Mexico or the Seychelles but it's great for lazing about on. Sunbeds are available all over the place, getting one was never an issue.

The sea is great with everything in and on it to keep you entertained, no coral local to this bay so dont expect the look of an aquarium if you go snorkelling or diving but there is plenty of wildlife. Windsurfers and other fun stuff is available free, jetskis cost extra.
