We travelled as a family of four adults with our friends (also a family of four) making 8 of us in total.
The Platomare Hotel Apts was an excellent choice - not too big a complex, nice clean pool with plenty of sunbeds.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The Pernera area has lots of bars and restaurants, whilst being quieter than nearby Protaras, which is only a 20 minute walk away. We loved it and would definitely stay there again.
We didn't sample the hotel entertainment as we were out every evening, so we cannot comment on that , but the cocktails are

This was our second holiday in Cyprus, and our second stay at the family run, PlatoMare. All of the staff gave 100% to ensure that our stay with them was made to feel that we were not just holiday makers, but a part of their family. The BBQ and Karaoke night is good fun and value and is well worth a try. Another memorable occasion was the Quiz Night run by a very sweet and lovable Jean. The Pool is very clean with ample sunbeds for guests. Other facilities include Sauna - Supermarket - Games room - Internet access - Tennis Court - Restaurant and a very well stocked Bar. Although not stated a lot of the apartments do have a sea view. We will most definitely be going back to Cyprus and the PlatoMare.

Very good accommodation although maid service was not up to scratch.
Location was a bit far out from Protaras although we hired a jeep. Bar staff extremely friendly especially Patrick. Other staff in Bar very friendly.
We did not avail of the entertainment. the Hotel behind us made enough noise.
We ate a couple of times at the hotel. Once breakfast and last day lunch. Food was available all day

Very frendly staff and owners going back again this year .
Cannot fault any part of the hotel. Waitresess and bar staff very helpful.

The Platomare had been in our sights for a couple of years this year 2006 will be the 6th time in Protaras for us both.
We booked to stay there this year 2005 and were delighted with the hotel, the staff especially Jean, Trevor and Catherine who made us extremely welcome and made it easy for us to go back to them again, which we are doing this year.
We even got a Christmas card from the staff which was a wonderful personal touch. The rooms were immaculately clean every day, the staff brilliant and its location was superb. Thanks for a wonderful time yet again.

Platomare family run hotel was an in an exellent location 2mins from the sea and 10 mins from the beach.
The pool was cleaned every evening and the rooms were cleaned everyday.
There is a complex at the back of the hotel but the noise is not too much bother, there is a mini market on site and the staff are very very friendly.
There are quizzes, BBQ's and other various activities there.

This self catering hotel was great, very spacious rooms and very clean with a maid service every day. The pool was very clean with numerous inflatable toys to keep the kids (and bigger kids!) amused. It was literally a 1 minute walk to the sea and then a 5min walk along the coastal path to one of the small sandy beaches (although we decided to stay by the pool). Sunbeds were free throughout the resort so no extra cost.
The hotel itself is very quiet but the downside was a large hotel complex situated behind the Plato-mare hotel which had a kids club and entertainment in the evening

Family run hotel. All staff very friendly and helpful.
Snack bar reasonably priced, and plenty to choose from.
Rooms are very spacious and clean, maid service every day. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool. The surrounding area is beautiful and the hotel gardens are immaculate.
I found this hotel very relaxing and friendly.

The platomare is in a excellent position right near the beach and only a 5 minute walk to nearby restaurants. The hotel itself served food which was very reasonably priced and the drinks were too.
Plenty of Sunbeds and a very relaxing place to stay. My only gripe would be that the room had a musky smell to it and so did the wardrobe.
It was clean though and if you want somewhere cheap to stay in a quiet area then you should certainly stay here. I would definately go back again.

I booked a last minute deal to the Platamore apts. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was basic but cleaned daily.
We were about a 10 minute walk from the centre of protaras which was fine but personally if I return I would like to be a little closer. However there were a few bars and restaurants around the hotel area which were nice and became surprising quite busy.
The pool was great and even though it was a basic square pool, it had a deep end to swim in and shallower end to relax in.
All in all I had a brilliant stay!
