Flight in - the worst airport EVER, ONE check in desk, two girls, very very small, que outside! A NIGHTMARE
Hotel good and clean, staff ok but reminded me of Carry On films.
Shared dining if you are a couple which was disgusting. Having to make small talk with some cockney strangers spoilt almost every meal. Wouldn't change.
Rooms clean but very small. Air-Con a must.
Main pool is loud & crowded, drinks are ok, stay away from the larger unless you want to spend a lot of time in the toilet!
Entertainment is a complete JOKE. Two blokes who get money for pratting around and evening entertainment consists of crap quizes or at best, a game of Mr and Mrs, PATHETIC!
Food was quite good unless you are one of those that only likes ENGLISH food OR Macdonalds, you won't get this here but a good variety and quite tasty.
Adult pool is more relaxed but full of yobs swearing and topless (but this is allowed here)
Laganas is like Blackpool in the Sun. Don't venture out after 9pm unless you want to be constantly hounded by people wanting to offer you cheap drinks. 18-30's springs to mind.
Nothing good to say about anything, waste of money and now having to book another to get a decent holiday. Complaint written to FIRST CHOICE and I am expecting compensation.
Would suit large, lower social class families who live on burgers, chips and rubbish alcoholic drinks who's idea for great entertainment is the Chuckle Brothers. Butlins with the sun!!!

I travelled on the 9th july, with three adults, this hotel is excellent! it is cleaned everyday and staff are very friendly (specially Brian! the manager) and would always talk to you.
The only promblem adults had this year with this hotel was that everyone was 18-30's and alot of people complained about the noise us and others made when we walked in the hotel at 6am! But Zante is a clubbing place so this is to be expected.
The hotel did have strict rules about teens shouting and making noise and you would only have 2 warnings and Brian would kick you out of the hotel! (which was no lie as he did with few groups of teens)
The two pools are clean and there is no queue for sun beds as most teens were still in bed early morning! the most livest pool was the children's one as this is where the action goes on and the pool bar is next to the pool.
The food was ok, although me and my friend didnt eat breakfast as there was nothin we liked. Our other friend enjoyed all the food as he wasnt a fussy eater! Lunch and dinner was of good standard and never left us hungry.
The alcoholic drinks there are watered down (as is everwhere) and would take you ages to feel tipsy but a good start before hiting the main strip! (which is a 10-15 min walk away.
Taxi's are good there as they only charge one price no matter where you go which is 6euros (as our hotel was a 10 min walk from the strip we got alot of taxi's)
Overall this was one of the best holidays we have been on, and will be returning next yr in july! thank you to Brian and Staff who keep the hotel running! keep it up!

This is the second time my husband and I visited the Margarita, instead of just a couples holiday this time we brought friends and went a month before peak season which i found was alot more relaxing then going during July. The hotel and staff are amazing, it is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. All my friends really enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the hotel then sneaked into the town after drinking til 00.00 at the bar for the wicked nightlife.... Alot of them also completely indulged on the delcious food they served all day!! We plan to go backl next year, just gareth and I and hope to visit time and time again -

This was the 4th year running our party has returned to Hotel Margarita.
We call it our chill out week.
The family run hotel is second to none, always welcoming and remembers us each time we stay. There is plenty of food and a good selection, never were we disappointed.
The rooms were always kept clean and fresh, beds were always re-made even though we did do them, with our little nighties arranged on each bed. All the staff from Tony and Rita to the cleaners were so friendly and helpful. The adult pool was what we loved, so peaceful, we certainly chilled out.
The entertainers are different each year, although much of it doesn't change by the year, it is made up with the characters that make it an enjoyable evening.
We shall be back next year same time in May without a doubt, thanks to Rita and Tony.

Could not fault the hotel, staff were very nice and always spoke to you. The food was fantastic and the pool bar made fresh rolls,burgers and chip butties.
The hotel was always spotless could not fault the cleaniness at all. Entertainment staff were very nice but they fell down on the entertainment itself.
The hotel is in a good location just a little walk to the shops and bars and about 15mins from the beach.
The only reason I would not go back is because of the earthquakes the island suffers.
I would like to thank the management and staff of the hotel for the help and support they gave us through the quakes.
The hotel was always spotless could not fault the cleaniness at all. Entertainment staff were very nice but they fell down on the entertainment itself.

The only reason I would not go back is because of the earthquakes the island suffers.

Hotel Margarita is by far the best holiday hotel I have ever stayed in, and I have no criticism of either the hotel or the staff. The hotel was thoroughly clean, the food was good and plentiful and available from 8am to midnight, the alcoholic drinks were available from 10am to midnight. All the staff, including the owners, were very friendly, helpful and polite and seemed to be really enjoying their lives working at the hotel.
Our room was clean, modern and well equipped with fridge, electric kettle and the much coveted shower curtain. I was surprised to learn the hotel was 27 years old, I imagined it was quite new.
The hotel is perfectly located about 5 mins walk from "the strip" which is the lively main street, so although the Laganas nightlife is only literally around the corner, any noise generated cannot be heard from the hotel. The walk to the sandy beach takes around 10 to 15 mins.
The entertainment was OK, some people thought it dull in parts, this was only because Darren and Sarah were catering to the needs of all ages. We went on holiday almost the last week of the season and the town was winding down for the winter so there wasn't too much full on entertainment to be had in town, Darren and Sarah along with the Bar Staff, created a really good atmosphere.
Our room was clean, modern and well equipped with fridge, electric kettle and the much coveted shower curtain. I was surprised to learn the hotel was 27 years old, I imagined it was quite new.

This hotel was the best and cleanest all inclusive hotel I have ever had the pleasure to stay in.
The hotel staff were fantastic, if not wierd(the two waiters).
The earthquakes were nothing compared to the earth moving entertainment from Darren and Sarah. They were brilliant with the all the children if not a little lacking sometimes for the adults, but the nightlife soon fixes that.
Food is good if not a little repetative after two weeks, but always hot and looks good !
So after a skinfull of free alcohol from 10:00hrs till 00:00hrs you could nip off into town within 5 mins walk to start on the local cocktail bars like the Pink Panther and get some shots for 1 euro 50 cents, BARGAIN !.
So I'm off there again in May this year to fill up on the fun !!!

My husband and I went to the Maragrita in Zante for our first ever holiday together and our honeymoon. We also celebrated my 22nd birthday out there. We had the most amazingly experience ever and will definitely be returning next year.
The hotel was extremely clean, the staff were very friendly and inviting.
All inclusive option was fantastic, couldn't wait for our next meal - the food was superb.
The entertainment could have been a lot better but that was our only downfall. The star rating should be alot higher than 3.

I have to say when I stayed here last year I had a great time - mainly cos we went out every night!
Entertainment was non-existent and food was poor. My friend is a vegetarian and when she asked the chef to point out veggie options, she later found meat in them. Serious lack of choice.
The location was excellent, just a 10-15 minute walk to the main strip packed with night clubs.
Male staff at the hotel were rather pervy but the rest were very friendly.
I definitely recommend Laganas but would stay at another hotel.
