Get a room on highest floor possible, keep way from first floor as they put the German, Dutch and Belgium youths in there.

Take an empty water bottle with you down to breakfast and fill it up, saving you having to buy water for the day.

Resort was very clean, however can't comment on entertainment as we visited at the end of November beginning of December and so most of it was closed. I would definitely visit again, but in the Summer.
The transport system was extremely cheap and easy to use. We went to Barcelona, and found a hotel in the centre when we got there for only 60 euros and so stayed for two days. We also caught the bus to Girona for the day which is where we were flying from and so put our luggage in lockers at the train station in Girona (there are not any at the airport). The bus and train station are together, and again cheap and easy to use. It is less that 2 euros each from the airport to the centre of Girona by bus. Also, I would advise you got the bus from the Airport to Lloret as it was less than 10 euros each, and a taxi is 45 euros and it was so easy.

Beach clean but its gravel not sand. You will need sandals.
Fennel beach good to watch fishermen at night. Probably ok in summer but all closed in winter.

The resort was clean, but maybe because it was November. Not many places open but that was the time of year.

My second visit after many years but the place still has a nice feel. Locals are ok and dont have the arrogance of other Spanish resorts. Plenty of English bars if you must -the Piccadily is right on the beach.
Theres an interesting old town where you can stroll for hours plus the more upmarket shops and tourist tat places.
Very clean promenade and beach-no hassle from hawkers which was a relief and plenty of chance to catch the water taxis which turn up every few minutes.
Good place for 7 days (dont go anywhere near Almeria)

Resort was very nice, although watch your feet for dog foul (felt like being in britain)it was every where.
Never got to see as much as the resort as we would have liked due to the bad weather. Went to the magic palace, which was great for the kids and reasonably priced for arcade games.

The resort of The Fennals was clean entertainment being low key.The Fennals beach was beautiful clean and quite.

Beaches were empty and lovely but it was October.
There are plenty of shops etc but nothing special-not the nicest place in Costa Brava but we all had a great time anyway.

I have found fanals to be a lovely clean, friendly area of lloret and something to please everyone.
the beach i must say i do prefer sand instead of shingle , but if one buys a mat for beach at the local shop €1.90 its not too bad, at least you get to relax as hotels can become very noisey.
I would certainly come back to fanals

Resort was quiet in October,much to our advantage[no hustle or bustle].
Beach man made sore on bare feet. Clean tidy,life guards on duty.
Watch out for the dead ground between the sea front and beach[lose sight of kids]. Plenty of shops for the wife.
Would come and stay again.
