Take an empty water bottle with you down to breakfast and fill it up, saving you having to buy water for the day.

It was not too bad as far as clenliness but the redevelopment made it rather dusty.
Most of the nightclubs where closed due to out of season but the beach was a nightmare to walk on we stayed poolside most of the time.
It was like Blackpool!!!

Resort very run down, no entertainment just a few bars. Beach which was only 5 mins walk at Fenals which was shingle beach but well worth a visit. I would not return to this resort

The resort itself is very clean, and the entertainment is perfect if you are 18. There are tons of shops but just walking down the street is like getting out of a disney theme park when it closes. You just cannot go out for a stroll, because you are forever bumping into people. The beach was very clean and the water is lovely especially for the kids, but it was so packed towards the end of our holiday it was hard to find a spot to sit in. It was too packed. I would not visit this resort again, not in the six weeks school holidays anyway.

Lloret seemed to be quite a clean and tidy resort. Most entertainment is geared towards the clubbing crowd, if you go out at night you are constantly accosted by people trying to sign you up for bungee-jumping and other activities, or pushing vouchers for clubs. There is a large choice of restaurants, although they are mostly fastfood (McDonald's, Burger Kings, KFCs, kebab shops, Indian restaurants). Not much cheaper than England, in fact on a par.
The beach was clean but boring if you have young children - the sea was not safe enough for them to go paddling on their own, as the depth increased dramatically only a few feet out, and it was hard to paddle in the water with the gravel pulling at your feet. Older children might appreciate the banana boats, "flying fish" etc but at 10 euros a ride it don't work out cheap! Not too many public loos around either.
Would we visit Lloret again - no!

Although most of the resort is catered towards the younger generation families can still find places to drink,eat and have a good time,Queen Vic, the sportsman and places to eat like the orient express.The best place for a steak is the Tobago although the waitresses are not very friendly the food is out of this world,also tried Chinese and mexican,the mexican was a bit expensive but the atmosphre made up for that.

Resor ok, lots to do, lots to see, have no problem with it at all just find a good hotel.

The resort is clean and very busy but is now a place for youngsters gathering on 18-30type holidays.Resort has a lot of nice bars for the younger ones. Some are a bit run down.Loads of shops.
The beach is very clean but unfortunately is kind of man made glassy gravel stuff. found it was sore to walk on and got every where. The wee ones were getting grazes from it so did not use the beach unfortunately.

Resort I felt had no time for the british
Beach was that horrible man-made sand not for the kids it cut there feet.

The beauty of the Royal Star is that is in the middle of two resorts, LLoret is very busy and we found the beach dirty, but 10 min walk the other way brings you to Fenals which is lovely we found it safe to swim in the sea and not as busy.
We didnt go out at night as we had three young children but there is lots of night clubs and bars which we heard were good. There are free buses from Loret to marine land and the water park , marine land is fantastic and well worth the money dolphins, sea liions and fantastic water slides and pools.
If you are looking for family fun go to the Royal Star!!

Llorett de mar is the nicest place I have been to. It has every you will need and want. I would recommend it to anyone.
The beach is not sand but bebbles however its too hot to stand on it anyway. So I dont mind.
