Skanes is in between Sousse and Monastir, Sousse is a bustling town with its Medina not recommended for the shy type and sular Centre this is a fixed price shop on three levels were you wont get any hastle and are able to shop at your leasure. Monastir is the capital city with a government shop (fixed price) and Medina for those bargains. There are plenty of things to see here such as the moseleum and fortress.

we only ventured out one day to Monastir - accompanied by 'Charlie' so felt safe. the taxi drivers all try and pick you up which is annoying as they are very persistent.

The beaches here are great and very clean, tried pretty much all water sports, be wary of the camel man flogging cheapo camels.
the entertainment was based around the kids more so but had a great drag act and some adult fun.
on a whole was the best hotel around this area as we passed other hotels whilst on day trips would highly recommend having a butchers here. also try out the zulu nite its ggggreat.....

The resort consists of a few hotels along the beach. No real facilities except for a small complex opposite the Miramar, small boutique, gift shop, cafe and theme bar. The hotel is remote with sparsely stocked mini market opposite. Some of the beach is nice, some has chipped brick pieces/debris. The seaweed has to be cleared weekly. The bar on the jetty is only open for 8 weeks (peak.)
There is plenty of watersports available, tenner for jetski and about 17 quid for two on a parachute. Too many traders on the beach, these become tedious after a couple of days, but become a source of amusement as you see lilly white new arrivals ensnared!

We had a good time

Skanes and monastir, lively, interesting, clean, odd smells here and there but we were abroad. Shopping was fun not much hassle. Mainly stayed in the hotel. Suffcient going on.

Beach great.

We are planning to go back next year

The resort is rather remote with only one other cafe near by. It is a good country to visit and its great to get out and about and see the other towns. Though in some of the resorts you do get hassled and followed around in the shops.

Posted a report about the hotel already. I wouldn't go back to Tunisa it was good to see but, these people would sell their own granny for a dinar and many of the people in our hotel agreed.

You pay for everything and if they can rip you off they will. Be aware there are two taxi prices one for them and one for us and we get charged double or more. The Hotel staff are great but, outside of that what can you say.

Don't get me wrong we had a good time and visited Monastair and Sousse though i couldn't wait to get back to the safety of our hotel. The people in the shops are aggressive and we got cornered a couple of times and the shop owners got angry and tried to block our way when we did try to leave. I had no hassle as a women i have to say but, one mother and daughter on the camel rides in the Sahara with us were seperated from the husband and son and they were being hassled to buy from the vendors that follow you. Needless to say the women and daughter were dumped in the dessert because they wouldn't buy and were very upset.

I wouldn't go back to Tunisia it is a very dirty country and the people are rude and aggressive and many of our fellow tourists felt the same!

The Resort itself is poorly maintained - beach was dirty with broken glass, wood debris and other things on the beach. Beach was cleaned only after complaining to our rep (with garden rakes which left smaller items still on the beach e.g. glass, wood). This is not a private beach as
motorbikes, horses , camels frequently use the beach. Not safe for Children. I would not visit the resort again. No entertainmant on resort.
