the food was awful meatballs and soup and chicken morning noon and night. For an allinclusive hotel it was more like full board we got break at 7am to 10am lunch 12.30 to 2.30pm and tea 6.30pm to 9pm with cakes 4pm to 5pm that was it. Entertainment was 9pm to 9.45pm that was it. Certainly not a 5 star hotel.

Agree with previous correspondent, Brits in the minority here, which is not a bad thing. There is a British Hotel Relations manager (Jamie) on hand who is most helpful in booking any extras you might want, like a golf day or whatever.
We used Euros, which you can draw out on your ATM card from a machine at the entrance to the driveway of the hotel next door to the right of Arcadia, though the local banks n Belek dole out Yeni Lira from their machines. The locals accept either.
There is entertainment at Arcadia but we didn't partake in any of it, except for the bi weekly "fiesta" night which was fantastically well put together and very entertaining.
The complex is huge with a bar and "Mc Arcadia" on the beach front. Water sports galore (payable)are on offer and trips to various places of interest can be had but they aren't rammed down your throat. The hotel is air conditioned and in August, it really needs to be, though we also visited in May 2005 and when not as hot is comfortable without.!
Food is fantastic and hugely varied, with some cooked Al Fresco, other in doors and if you can't find anything you like, then there is something wrong with you.
Would recommend that you upgrade to a junior suite/family room if possible although the rooms are adequate even if not.
I'd go again but not in August, too hot for me.

Limak Arcadia Golf Resort.
Everything about this hotel is excellent. Have been four times and planning to return this year.
Not many english in hotel. But this is an advantage in my mind.
