We decided to visit the Innova Resort & Spa Hotel again this year after a great visit the same time last year.
The chap behind the desk who checked us in was very pleasant and went through all we needed to know about the restaurants etc. And all though we had been just 12 months prior. It was worth a listen as they had changed the location of the pool towels and added an extra A La Carte restaurant, which was a "Rustic Breakfast", located outside in a great setting next to the pool.
We were shown to our room which turned out to be a Family Suite. It was a great surprise and meant we could chill out in a room without getting on top of each other. Only down side was the room was located to the rear of the hotel so didn't have an amazing view but we soon go over it.
As expected the weather was hot and the sun beds were a plenty :) The entertainment team did all they could to get people involved and made sure people were having a great time! An ideal place if you have kids as the entertainment team take them off and make sure they are looked after for most of the day!
Most of the staff were pleasant enough; we even came across a few that spoke very good English. Being one of a few English couples at the resort it was great for them to take their time to talk to us during the day.
There were a few let downs this year, mainly the service at lunch and dinner in the buffet restaurant was very slow and getting a drink was near on impossible, we had to resort to going out to the bar outside the restaurant and bring drinks in with us.
Secondly we tried on a few occasions to get help from the reception desk only to be greeted by the same guy who was very rude and short. And unfortunately as the rest of the hotel was so good these bits let it down somewhat.
The Spa & Wellness centre was still excellent this year although they had moved the pool towel collection to the Spa centre. This meant that most mornings turned into a sales pitch to get you to have some treatments!
The free A La Carte restaurants as usual were excellent, the Ruby restaurant being the highlight of the week. A great 7 course Asian inspired meal, in a room that was tastefully decorated to match. Definitely worth a visit!
Given that this year we didn't come away feeling as relaxed as we did last year we probably would look to try another hotel next year. Although it is definitely a hotel to try, be great to know how other people got on.

Having been a constant goer to the Canary Islands, this year I thought we would go somewhere different having read many reviews for Turkey, we picked this to be our next holiday destination.
The criteria for the holiday was simple, a 5 star all inclusive restaurant that had plenty of room to laze by the pool and good programme of food and drinks! (The drinks were obviously part of my criteria not the girlfriend!)
We came across the Innova Resort and Spa and thought that it looked like a very nice hotel, well at least from first glance. It offered all we wanted an extensive food and drink programme, it also had 3 outdoor swimming pools and a lot of sun lounges meaning we would never be left fighting for a bed in the morning! Having read some good reviews we were off!
We arrived at the hotel early September 2011 with temperatures of an average of 35c we were set for a great holiday! We arrived late at night after a short transfer from the airport and were greeted by a friendly member of staff who explained everything we needed to know. We were handed two pool towel cards that would enable us to borrow pool towels on a daily basis. A great little touch that not many other hotels seemed to offer!
The room was of a nice size, containing a welcome basket of fruit and a bottle of wine! We were only allocated a twin room but easily pushed the beds together and the next morning the cleaner actually put double bedding on it for us so we quickly forgot about that.
Wanting to get away from the rat race the hotel during the day was amazing, the pool bar was a few seconds walk from most of the sun lounges and we were able to relax without any dramas. There were kids activities clubs ran for most of the day (not that we have kids) but it kept them occupied throughout the day. Adults activities were also run, from water polo to workouts on the beach! All included complimentary as part of your stay! Also if you wanted to get away from the pool the hotel laid on an exclusive bus service to take you down to their own private area on the beach, where you are welcomed by a bar that is run as part of your all inclusive, a snack bar and a restaurant for lunch!
As you would expect dinner was served as a buffet style although they also have three A La Carte restaurants, consisting of Mediterranean, Far eastern and Fish restaurants. You are allowed to book into each one once throughout your stay. The Fish one is actually located on the beach as is a perfect setting for an evening meal. I would recommend that you book in to these restaurants at the beginning of your stay though as they get booked up quickly.
There was a variety of evening entertainment laid on till late, giving you something to watch whilst you enjoy more complimentary alcohol :)
Overall it is a very good hotel and I would recommend it to all in fact we are going back this year, can't wait!
