On first inspection the rooms seem basic but clean.
They are ideally situated for the nightlife and the views are fanastic over the bay.
Unfortunatley the staff are a different matter.
The only one with any manners in Tanir,a barman/pool boy/cook etc if you could manage to wake him. The poor lad seemed to work around the clock.
The cleaner turns up when she feels like it with a very unhappy face and only seems to clean the rooms that people are occupying that day. We got our room cleaned once in the week.We had to empty our own bins when needed and you even have to pay for the toilet rolls.
If you must stay here make sure you use the safe deposit boxes!!!
On our second morning we were in the bedroom still in bed when I heard the door unlock and open.I assumed it was the cleaner so stayed in bed. On entering the living space I discovered that my mobile phone and wallet containing money and cards had gone.
I informed the manager who told me he didn't believe me.
I informed the rep who told me that there had been a few in the area but had warned nobody. When she tried to discuss it with the manager he called me a liar!!
All in all Gumbet is a beautiful town with friendly people,loads to do but stay clear of this place!!!

Well we can tell you that these apartments were great, the cleanliness, the food(basic but lovely), the staff.
Everything was brilliant especially the staff, they made us feel right at home.
The location is second to none, just on top of a hill close to bar street. We only stayed for one week but will definatley be back and will stay for two next time.
There is a smallish pool bar area but you are made to feel at home as the staff will do anything for you.

Just got back from these apartments and missing it already, the staff made our holiday one of the best we have ever had and we will deffo be returning. The rooms are basic but very clean.

These apartments are great.
Food is basic but good rooms cleaned every day. A good location mins away from Bar St.
The staff very nice especially Augur and Taner. Pool is a bit small but big enough. I would go back no bother.
One tip ask Taner for a breakfast the night before you get it at lunch time

Our two weeks didn't start of to well as the owner said he didn't expect us, then the rooms we were put in were dirty. But on saying that as soon as we complained it was sorted out straight away..after this inittal hicup the room were cleaned every day and new towels twice a week. The rooms were spacious although I wouldn't like to have 4 adults in the one room as you would really be living on top of each other. I would recommend paying the little extra for a room per 2/3 people.
The staff were excellent, the only thing that let them down was that, apart from the owner, there English was very basic, so sometimes hard to communicate with them on anything more complicated than asking for a Gin and Sprite or pint of Efes!!
The bar in the hotel is very reasonably priced and they serve food, which is good..they had just hired a new chef when we were leaving an he seemed to know his stuff!!
The hotel itself is only a 2 minute walk from Bar street..The windows are good and you hear nothing when you are in your bed!! although open your window and you might as well be in one of the pubs!

As this was a self catering holiday we tended to eat out, but the food in the hotel was of good standard and very cheap.
Although this is only a small apartment complex the staff were exceptional and were a really good laugh. Based round a family business. The hotel owner is superb, delightful to be able to go to a hotel and feel right at home is the only way I can describe it.
