Do not ask the co-owner Dimitris for a good room, you will probably get the same response as I did.
Try any other hotel or restaurant, there are plenty in the area

The Theodosia apartments are now exclusive to San Stefanos Travel. Although there is not a swimming pool for the apartment complex, it is well situated for the beach and spermarkets.
Returned in May 2007 for a4 week stay.

San Stefanos is a beautiful small resort - good quality restaurants - Greek dancing at Zorbas is great as is the food itself. One shop sells newspapers, a handful of souvenir/supermarkets also and a couple of places to book excursions. Two things it doesn't have are a cash machine or a chemist - if you need these you need to go to Sidari (you can take a bus from outside Barras).

Also has a great beach - very sandy and you can swim out a very long way before it gets deep so great for kids also.

No faulting the cleanliness of the town and beaches.

Entertainment was limited but found something to do every night. I went with two teenagers 16 and 15 who never once said they were bored.

Place on the beach to eat and drink. Never came across an unfriendly greek, all friendly and polite and spoke good English.

Would definitely recommend this resort and will hopefully be returning next year.

The first thing to hit you about San Stefanos, is how clean it is, NO rubbish anywhere! the locals really look after their village.
And what a beautiful village it is, the beach is fantastic, totally uncrowded, great for children, water sports, and clean!

Entertainment in the resort is limited if your a teenager or your wanting lots of disco's and bars,(go to Sidari or Kavos). BUT, if you want a relaxing chill out, with the occasional karaoke/disco bar (of which there is only one, excellent fun), an internet cafe, lots of quality resturants ( Elphida Bistro, The Waves, The little Prince, The Sunset, to name a few). a couple of beach bars (especially The Havanna) with ambience music playing, while you watch the clear blue sea glisten gold whilst the sun sets!, then San Stef is for you!

San Stef (on the North West coast) is lovely. It is a resort, so there are shops, restaurants and bars aimed at the tourists, but the resort is small and pleasant.

In the day, there is the beach, and many restaurants and bars to eat in. At night, we would spend a leisurely evening in one of the restaurants in the town or on the beach.

This is not a lively, clubby resort. There is plenty to do and a good range of restaurants, selling good food. There is a travel shop (San Stefanos Travel) in the centre of the resort, which offers boat trips, horse riding, shopping excursions to Corfu Town, and car/bike/beach buggy hire.

It is well worth a visit to Corfu Town while you're there. It's about an hour or so by car, but it is a very interesting town, with lots of history and some nice eating, sightseeing and shopping.

I bought a rough guide to Corfu before choosing the resort to stay in. Of all the write-ups, San Stefanos was the best.

If you're looking for a lively, clubby place do drink and party hard - don't come here. If you're looking for for somewhere peaceful and pretty to relax and wind down, then this is definitely the place to come.

A quiet resort by today's standards but there is still plenty to do-not really for the disco-types.
everyone in the village is friendly and helpful and the bus service is reliable.

This resort is very clean and is more for family's and couples who want a relaxing holiday. There is some great places to relax and have good food (we never had a bad meal)The beach is of a high standard and is very safe for children. There is some water sports. There is also horse riding and plenty of boat and coach tours.
There is a bus a few times a day and this will take you into Sidari were there is plenty of shops and bars.
We hope to go back to this resort in May as we really enjoyed it.This will be are 4th visit.

The resort is small with a few shops and places to eat. There are loads of bars all ready to offer you the best meals and entertainment in the resort. The Thomas Bay Hotel Thomas Bay has something on every night and the staff are superb. If you require a quiet evening try the Aquarius at the front of the Athina, owned by Glen from Sheffield and his Greek wife. The taverna on the beach serve delicious sardines,a must for all fish lovers. The beach is very clean and sandy. If you like walking the next village called Arillas is just over the hill, but can be steep. This is our second year to the resort, and we are looking forward to next year.It is not recommended for party lovers or teenagers, but great for the very young.
