This complex is actually in Cala Ferrer not Cala Dor. Quite a few places were closed by midnite so we found ourselves walking into cala dor which is probably 10-15 mins away. Lots of places here stay open till between 2 and 4 am. If you go for a meal try Don Leone very nice. All in all not a bad holiday but don't think we would go back, there are better places in Majorca.

The only down side the resort is all of the fag ends on the beach - not nice and stick to your feet.

Fantastic place, loads of hills though so be fit on arrival.... I would definitely go back!!!!!

The marina is very nice and cala d or town but there are only so many yachts and souvenier shops you can look at.
You need alot of spending money as you have to travel out of the town to do anything different.The beaches are very small but also very nice and clean.

Cala D'or is a very pretty resort with lovely coves to bathe in. The entertainment is based in hotels. Unfortunately there were lots of stray dogs and and so a bit of mess, you need to look where you are going!

Fanastic resort for families, although is bit hilly so no for people with walking dificulties. Spoilt for choice with the bars and restaurants, most of which have play ares for the kids. The beaches are gorgeous, there was three within 15 minutes walking distance of our hotel. This was our first holiday as a family and we weren't disappointed. We will definitely be returning this year.

Found the resort very clean. Lovely cobbled streets and white wicker chairs in lovely lit squares. It was a lovely relaxing holiday without been to quiet. People seemed to be like ourselves middle age couples with young children or older couples. Did'nt see too many 'British bars' which is how we like it - when abroad don't want to feel as though we're in Blackpool with the sun! Entertainment was great for us - couple with a 2 1/2 year old. We'd have a meal overlooking marina then head back into Cala D'or, have a drink at a cocktail bar, watch the world go by then head back to apartment for 11.30 - 12pm
Only visited beach once as prefer the pool - very small but clean.
Think you have to go a long way to beat Cala D'or - very quaint and pretty coves. Lovely restaurants and relaxing, safe atmosphere. We're booking again for 2007.

Cala Egos is about 2 miles away from Cala D'or, far enough to not have the "louts" but close enough for the larger shops and bigger town feel.
Plenty of busses, tourist train(open carriage bus!) and taxi costing 5E.
Cala Egos, has got plenty of pubs and restaurants, showing sky if you want the sports etc.

Stayed in Cala Egos which is a 15 min walk from cala D'or or 5 euros in a taxi. resort small with a few shops and bars, ideal for families and very safe. we were on a lovely little cove which did get a bit packed and was plagued by jelly fish! didnt find any big beaches with watersports near by it all seemed to be coves which were very picturesque. Would return
