The resort is quite quiet, but has enough going on to keep anyone happy. Beach is clean, the Friday Market is good, and there are good bus links to everywhere. There are a few clubs there, but it is a good family resort, with plenty of British influence.

The beaches were clean and the sand was soft underneath your feet. I went down a number of times as it was so close to the hotel and there are other beaches further up into the resort.

All the shops are pretty similar and sell much of the same things but i still enjoyed looking round in them.

This resort is very German, at times you might as well be in Munich or Berlin, most of the bars and restaurants are German and wouldn't even provide menus in english. There were a few exceptions however and since our last visit in September 2002 there have been 1 or 2 more British bars opening up. If you are thinking of visiting C'an Picafort I would recommend a visit to Bar 1. It looks like the building isn't finished but it has been like that for years apparently. Dave and the guys in there pride themselves on being the only British bar in amongst many German ones. Trotters on the Beach is also a must, it is only a little bar but it is right on the beach front which makes it a must if you want a drink whilst down at the beach.

We stayed in the quiter end of Can Picafort and found this to be clean and a lovely area. About a 20 min walk to the main part of town but this was along the coast road with lots of bars to stop off at on the way.
Didn't really sample the entertainment outside the hotal but there seemed plenty to do and a few English style pubs as well as the more traditional Spanish style restaurants and bars.

The resort is a nice comfortable resort. Great for families. The week we were there was during Euro 2004 & there was great rivalry between the Germans(of which there were many), English & Spanish. All good fun. A variety of bars & cafes, Brit, German a couple of tapas bars and of all things a JAMACIAN bar. Plays reggae all day & night.
There's an excellent cafe; Cafe Creme, o the road from the Haiti to the beach. It sells lots of different coffees and hot chocolates.
Sun beds on the beach were 3.75 euros per day.

As mentioned above we have been to Alcudia and we find thet Can Pickafort has not got a patch on Alcudia. Lots of street rubbish that could do with a clean up with lots of very unevan pavements which in some places are quite dangerous (tiles and slabs sticking up).

Very good main road with a main strip leading to beach with plenty of shops and bars including english run and the odd one english owned.

Would not have a holiday in Can Pickafort but would probably visit when next in majorca.

resort was well kept and clean. good fishing and snorkling there and nice walks along the prominade.
fridays market is big but after the first ten or so stalls it was all reputition of goods.
haggle all day long and youll get that bargin.
the beach at the top end near to the nature reserv is quiet but after a stormy night the sea weed was washed up and made it look dirty.
plenty of quiet pubs serving sea food..mmmmmmmmmmm.

The resort of C'an Picafort has many shops but all selling pretty much the same thing! It is a mainly German holiday resort with a few Brits. We didn't find the locals and shop keepers that friendly either. I can't comment on the the resort entertainment, as we couldn't find anything for children! We had car hire, so went around the island sightseeing. The sandy beach was very clean apart from a bit of seaweed washed up a ashore which was soon cleaned up.
I don't think we would go to this resort again or even Mallorca. We prefer the quieter island of Menorca.
