Caleta Amarilla is a very good family hotel. The food is nice, if a little repetitive, espeicially the toasties served at the pool side bar and the entertaintment bar. The hotel was kept clean by house maids, sheets and towels were changed regulary. The staff were all friendly, and spoke adequate english.
The daytime entertainment was relativley well organised, lots of information about times and places were put up in the entertainment bar. Kids Clubs were held in a specially built kids clubroom.
The pools were clean, and twice they had to be closed becasue someone had an accident, pool a is nice and relaxing, if a little deep. Pool B is where all the activities took place, and there are more younger children there. The pools have a strict no-diving policy, and this rule is kept very strictly, while i was there a gang of teenagers were kicked out of the pool for diving in and being dangerous.
There is little for teenagers to do, espeically in the evening.
I really liked the calletta amarilla, and would like to return.

The Hotel was very basic, The food was very boring and poor standard, There was never a meal has such you had to mix up diffrent things.
During our stay money was stolen from our room, the hotel staff were very unhelpful, the 1st choice rep was no better and the her Superviosr was was even worse that that, i had to phone 1st choice in the UK to get any sort of help.
You your going to this hotel good luck you will need it!
If you do go look out for a little white van that will turn up from time to time to take you to the police station to report the theft.

We found all public areas to be immaculately clean and although we did have a problem with ants in our bungalow it was still clean and tidy when we arrived and they did not cause too much of a problem as the maid sprayed them which kept them at bay.
The location of the hotel was fine, 5-10 minute walk to resort centre but it was nice having a stroll to and from our evening meal and it felt very safe to be walking around at night on our own.
Staff at the hotel were nice and friendly and the Airtours Reps were also nice. Entertainment was slightly repetitive but didn't really bother us and evening entertainment was definately child - orientated.
The hotel is in flight path to airport but the planes were not bothering us and were only heard during the daytime. Infact the kids in the hotel seemed to love it every time an aircraft flew over. (they were all waving at the planes!!!)
I would definately visit this hotel again.

Hotel was clean but ants were a bit of a problem to start off with. We were given ant spray to get rid of any remaining after it was dealt with. All 3 pools were great.
Hotel location...a little walk from the main town but nice...beautiful palms alongside the road...quite peaceful!
Hotel staff....quite friendly...don't really speak a lot though.
Entertainment staff absolutely great really friendly and excellent for the kids!
We've been twice and are planning to go again soon! Well worth the money!

We have just returned from the Caleta Amarilla, Caleta de Fuste, what a fantastic holiday. It was really clean food was great the hotel staff were great as well always happy and smiling
The entertainment team Claire, Emma and Steve were great they made our holiday
The kids club reps were great Kym, Cat and Vicky made my kids holiday
After a great two weeks my daughter cried when we left
would I return yes. I've booked along with some great friends we made while we were there to return next year roll on September 05

Food was always the same chips with everything.
Place was always dirty there was little bins and theese were not empted enough. Always cig butts and empty paper cups.
Too close to airport
Cleaners lokes to come into your room at 8.30am and dragg the sheets from under you and mop while you tried to shower. my 7yr old daughter was still in bed when the sheet was taken from her.
Entertainment was naff

This is a complex for families, the rooms were adequate for the 3 of us, nice welcome pack including 5lts of bottled water on arrival ( always the first thing we seem to have to buy). 2 pools A. side a little too deep but nice and quite, B. side contains all the day time activities that suited us better.Restaurant provided a good all round menu, sometimes repetative, but this is not the Ritz and always found tasty food to eat. Hotel staff spoke good English, so no problems there. Entertainment was definately suited to families with children, mini disco, bingo etc teenagers struggled a bit on that front. All in all we had a good 2 week holiday here, and have already booked for a winter break in February 05 at this complex again. As a family we have certainly stayed in dirtier accommadation and had worse menus to try and choose something to eat from. Not the Ritz but good value for money.

the room was a dump.the room was run down diry smelly and was invaded with the ant colony from hell. the bath had a 8 inch pice of rust hanging off it and the socket with no cover on it. we had a view of a skip and it stunk, but the cockroaches had a good time with it.
then you have got the planes that start at 0700 to 2300 and you realy get a good view of them, the flight path is right over the complex, on the plus side of it, we never used the alarm clock!

On arrival the apartment was small, but we managed. WE only encountered the ant population after one of the kids dropped a sweet,the ants soon took it back to their hide out. Apart from that ,we found it to be very clean, the cleaners cere there five days out of the severn and done a good job. The location was fine just five minute walk from main town and a taxi ride of one euro fifty, to large shopping complex that was cheaper than the shops on site.Staff were very friendly and also helpful.Entertainment for adults was non existent but great for the kids.

On arrival the room smelt fusty and had mould on the living area and bedroom. Cobwebs on the corners of the rooms, fridge was rusty and needed defrosting. The bathroom was disgusting, the toilet seat had seen a lot of action! Tiles cracked and dirty, grouting and sealant need replacing. We had worms coming out of the sealant around the bath. Ants around apartment. We moved apartments on the second day. No mention of constant air traffic noise, this started at 7.30am until 10pm, this was literally over our heads. Also no mention of the basement,sub-terranian restaurant, the brochure stated conservatory style restaurant! Fellow guests had nothing good to say. Entertainment repetative, lots of bingo and quizes. The rep dealt with our complaints efficiently. Unlike other holiday reps. Ongoing repairs to poolside showers in high season. Will not visit again.
