Would highly recommend the Golden Plate restaurant in Bodrum on the seafront.
No need to take much Turkish money - all shops take English money and it is actually cheaper than paying in Turkish or Euros.

the resort of Bodrum is very clean, and it's next door neighbour Gumbet is even better.
there is lots of entertainment to suit all ages.
although Bodrum does not have a beach, the marina is a wonderful place to visit. Gumbet which is only about 5 mins by taxi has a very nice beach with lots of sunbeds.

We tried many different things during our stay, and all of them i would recommend. Boat trips are fabulous, and i had a really good time during ours.
We also visted the water park, aranging it with a company from Gumbet. If your lucky enough like us you may be able to persaude the man in charge to pick you up from the hotel in safari jeeps! The waterpark was an amazing day out, well worth it.
we also tried jet ski-ing, which really was breath taking!and for £25 million each (if shared) for 15 mintues it was well worth it.
The resturants in Gumbet were fantasic and very cheap! some resturants gave a free bottle of wine with a meal deal for £25 million (£10) which is the best value for money. Drink is cheap in Gumbet (cheaper than Bodrum) the cheapest we saw a large beer for was for £1.5 million which is about 60p and cigerettes are about 80p for a pack of 20. All the bars were fun offering free coctails on entrance. Gumbet is a really cheap and good night out.
The beaches were all really clean and tidy with dreamy blue sea, and the searing sun beaming down on them. it really was like a dream there. I'd go back now if I could, I really really would

the resort was very nice, close to the town so it was easy to get to all the shops, bars and restaraunts

Bodrum and Gumbet are an excellent and offer may sightseeking attractions and the turkish experience.
Gumbet is smaller, and offers a greater choice for a night out.
Red Dragon is the place to eat !!!!!

The best thing about the place was a restaurant in Gumbet called “The Green Dragon”, in this place you can get almost anything you want from Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Italian, French, Turkish, steak and English breakfast also this might sound daft but you wait??? They have baked beans on toast; the 8 of us spent approx 5 evenings there (say hello to oktay dasik the best waiter you could ask for and victor who was superb).

Bodrum is as quiet or noisy as you wish it to be. Restaurants and Bars are in abundnace.

Gumbet in peak weeks is a nightmare unless you are young and into the clubbing deafening music scene. We have stayed thre many times and love it but peak weeks never again. There was nowhere to go for peace and quiet, everywhere was the same. We expected it to be a lot busier but we did not expect the constant noise at this time of the year.

The best thing we did was having a bike we went all around the coast and saw place that you would not see.
We did get pestered a lot by local to come in their pubs/ shoes. Don't by any whatches and clothes very poor quality and fall to parts in days.
A must is the bars on the beach where it is great to have a meal. Gumbets beach is much nicer than Bodrums.

The resort was very clean and no litter was in site.
The entertainment was excellent and one night inparticular was the best, the most presentable food was given out, and it was continuously being replenished. There was lots of fireworks and lots of water displays, people dancing and you could tell they where having fun by the look on their faces.
The beach was great and there there was plenty of benches and chairs.
