In Bitez the Red Dragon restaurant was very very good.

there is decking instead of a beach.It is fantastic as there are plenty of comfy beds and brolleys.There is also a bar on the decking which is heavenly after a swim in the marvellous adriatic.

The resort of Bodrum offers an abundance of nightlife, bazaars, cafes, restaurants and hotels for all visitors.
The views are spectacular.
Having been 5 years ago I remember the fishing boats but it has changed now with a bigger marina and more hotels. The people still make you feel welcome, are friendly and eager to help you.
It is easy to get a ferry or hydrofoil to Kos (and visit 2 countries) during your time here.
We particularly enjoyed our time at Breeze Restaurant, La Turka Restaurant, The Marina China Hong Kong Restaurant and the Deja Vu bar.
The people in these places were very kind to us and we valued their friendship.
The food was excellent and we tried to choose from the Turkish menus each day.
Beware the alcoholic drinks seem more potent in Turkey.
Enjoy your holiday as we did ours.

I don't think there is anything new I can add to about Gumbet.
It's not too noisy in May, but I'd hate to go there any other time.
The beach is like most other Turkish beaches. Very gritty, but with the loungers and cushions, it's not too bad.
One thing we did notice was less hassle than usual. I think the authorities are clamping down on it. There were two policemen on push bikes patroling the beach area every day.
Next time in Turkey it will be back to Bitez.

The sunshine apartments in Bodrum were fine. Clean, lots of space. The beds were hard, but very comforable. The entertainment was good, the belly dancer were very young but so good. The beach was clean, very good for kids. Yes I will go back again and again. If you don't go you will be missing out on a wonderful holiday. I have travelled far and wide. It cannot be beaten for a chill out holiday.

The resort is a quite marina and we didn't really venture from the hotel too often as Gundogan is a 5 minute bus ride and quite a walk away. The Hotel doesn't have a beach but has put a large decked area up by the sea which you can dive off, straight into the sea.

green beach resort thats a laugh because there is no beach just wooden decking full of splinters and a sheer drop into the sea with only a rickerty step ladder descending off the decking with some sort of coral which cuts you to bits its not safe for adults let alone children. there was no free watersports either or they would not turn the waterslides on either. it is also in the middle of no where and you have to get a bus that takes you to the centre which takes twenty five mins there and fourty five mins back because it does the scenic route. i could not wait to come home

Bodrum is OK if you like an english breakfast every day, it very much caters for the english tourist abroad, notas brash as Marmaris, but still expect to be hassled on the streets.
There are plenty of Bars and Restaurants to keep you happy for 2 weeks, although the quality of food at most places we visited was below par.. ..
Bodrum seemed to be quite expensive compared to other resorts we have visited in Turkey, but there are a good selection of shops in the town centre.
The Marina area is very nice, and even has a Marks and Spencer for those who are missing home !
Do not visit bodrum if you are looking for a beach holiday - the beach here is a narrow stretch of shingle and did not look very inviting.

Bodrum is the place to relax or dance the night away, several good eating places,t ry Demeter Restaurant, turn left out of main entrance to Mandarin then 1st left down the little road when you get to the bottom Curly will invite you in. Breeze Restaurant on the front near the Red Lion bar is good to and Al Kapatan near The Gardenya Hotel to, but we have tried a few and never had a bad meal anywhere really.
