In Bitez the Red Dragon restaurant was very very good.

A good resort with something for everyone. Good links to everywhere from the Bus Station.

Dolmus was outside the hotel all day so easy access to all.
The market was fab with loads of fake goods galore .Lots of shops also. You could get anything. As we were all inclusive we did'nt go to bars ect. But I did notice the prices have shot up.We went to a show The Dream Girls was ok but have seen better.

The resort of Bodrum is an excellent base for visiting other resorts on the peninsular. From the bus station you can catch the dolmus to many different beaches villages and towns. The most expensive trip we took cost 2.50 ytl (just over £1). This was a 45 min trip to Gumusluk (excellent value although fish restaurants there are a bit expensive.
Bodrum itself is clean but the gravely beach in bodrum as everywhere else we visited (with the exception of Gumbet and Kleopatras Island) is becoming one giant ash tray. The beaches are not tidal and therefore the cigarette butts are not washed away.
We are looking forward to visditing Bodrum many more times and will be staying at the Gardenya again.

Have to get bus to local Gumbet, loads of bars and shops,
not a very pretty,have been to better areas in Turkey. Beach very busy not that nice.

Do get out and about on the Dolmus services and see other villages on the Bodrum penninsula - they are well worth visiting! The trips offered by Cosmos were twice the price of the same trips offered in town - but bware: you will be taken to carpet shops and gold factories in the hope of getting your money!
I loved Turkey - it's a clean, safe and welcoming country. This hotel is a safe base from which to get out and about.

I have been to turkey a few times and by my experience bodrum is the best place to go. I went to bar street every night to the white house bar to see spider man then on to sensi bar.
I never went to the beach because we had so much fun at our hotel we didnt want to go. So look out turkey 2006 here we come.

The only bad thing about Bodrum is the beach,its a thin strip of shingle, but apart from that, love it, love it,love it!!! There is a wonderful friendly vibe about the place, and when you settle in and get over our traditional british reserve you will enjoy the whole experience.
We ate at some really nice resturants ranging in price, the most expensive being one over looking the harbour which was wonderful, both location and food, and the cheapest being macdonalds!! yes there is a small one and a burger king!! As our party ranged in age from 20 to 41 it was inevetable that we would end up at the goldern arches!!
Bodrum castle is an experience there are two routes to follow once inside the red route is not for the faint hearted or flip flop wearers!!! We followed the green route needless to say!
Highly recommended is a vist to the hairdressers especially KARANS on Ataturk Cad, this is a unisex place, guys will love the shaves and head massages!! and the stylists are wonderful,we all ended up having our hair washed and blowdried every night it was so cheap!

the resort its self was clean we didnt go down town at night but their was certainly plenty of entertainment if you were looking for it the beach was lovely as we often went a stroll along it and we will certainly be visiting again

We really hit the jackpot with this one. Just Fantastic!! Everything was superb - the complex was spotlessly clean, the food was out of this world, the staff were always extremely polite and helpful, the entertainment staff worked from morning til night and the atmosphere of the whole place was just wonderful. Will definitely put this on our list to revisit at some time. Just excellent.

We stayed in bodrum for 2wks and it was excellent it was the first time we had been there and we found it was a beautiful place. The people were polite helpful. We went on a two dap trip to emaphas & pamulkkee if you like history you will love it the trip we found was not four children because it was a long journey. But the long journey was worth it because it was gorgeous. There is a restaurant in bodrum called breezes it is owned by four brothers, the food is brilliant there and they are brilliant they sing and dance with the kids and even play pool they are all friendly they make you feel welcome go to breezes on the sea front meals there are excellent. The beach was fine as well nice crystal waters. Shopping there is brilliant nice and cheap. We are going back there. At the gardenyar nextto the dolphin apartments the meals are cheap and nice there and a place just across the road from it. Go to turkey
