Cleanliness was good,rooms done daily and toilets all over hotel were kept clean.
Hotel food was indeed diabolical for a 4+ hotel and one of balkan holidays main hotels.
Breakfast was very basic.bread,eggs,sausage some serials and coffee.
Evening meal was allways very basic,allways chips,pizza,soup. sometimes chicken,sausage and some other weird meat.and to cap it off, all of it luke warm!!! you should expect much more froma 4+ hotel.
Location was good,not too noisy later on at night.
Hotel staff was mixed.maids were allways pleasant,bar staff etc were mostly unhappy people.
One major problem i found was the air conditioning was not working (or not turned on fully) just warm air was pumped around and when temps were between 38-42 degrees we had to leave balcony door open.
i would not recommend this hotel or be staying there again

Hotel was very clean. Maid service daily.
Location was excellent. Right on beach front. Staff were not too friendly but not bad.
Entertainment was limited. Food was awful but great elsewhere in the resort.
Unfortunately we lost items from two of our rooms including mobile phone, DVD player, MP3 player euros, trainers and aftershave. Be careful and definately hire a safety deposit box.

the hotel we found was very clean and most of the staff were very friendly especially reception staff location of hotel was great for the beach unfortunatly food was disgusting we ended up eating out all the time which ended up costing a lot of money we were forever bombarded by beggars on the street we also had no air conditioning for 3 days in the end we had to demand to be moved because no one came to fix the air conditioning no entertainment at the hotel unless you paid 25 lvs overall holiday from hell at this hotel never never never go there again couldnt wait to get home

We found the hotel to be very good, the staff were pleasent, but although their English was generally OK, but if you ask them something they don't understand they either just walk away, or smile and say 'yes' and this can be interpreted as being rude.
The food is the thing - it is 'basic' and choice is very limited, particularly at the evening meal. When talking to other guests whom have stayed either at the hotel or other hotels in previous years we got mixed messages, but it seems that food in the resort hotels generally is not one might expect in a 4 star hotel.
Entertainment was very limited.
Overall, we would go back, but eat out in the evenings.
Beware that the flight is long and boring, especially as Balkan Holidays serve the drinks at the same time as the meal (which is very basic too) so you have nothing to look forward to for the rest of the flight!

We stayed at the globus which was in the centre of the resort(sunny beach) but on the 13th floor which with kids was a bit scary at times as the balcony was large, good side to being high up was the great views of the resort.
The staff were ok but they didn't smile a great lot and hardly said a word.
The rooms were excellent we had very large bed a 3 piece suit which all converted to beds if needed and table, and then the dresser and wardbrobe.
The entertainment was good something to do each night which was a good job as the weather was not brillant and something for all ages.
The only let down was the food especially the evening meal which at times was cold and undercooked(the chicken) and the meat was processed style, so really it would be worth just staying b&b at the hotel.
Yes i would vist this hotel again! because its alot better then some of the other hotels ive visited and heard about from family.

Hotel was in a excellent location on the promonade in the centre of the resort.
This did incur some noise at night but most of the loudest bars reduced their music at 12.00 am. Didn,t cause my husband, friends or myself any problems.
Hotel was extremly clean but over a period of 10 days sheets were't changed. Towels were changed when left on the bathroom floor. Comunal areas appeared very clean but there was sometimes a damp 'dishclothes' smell.
Hotel food didn't live up to my expectations of a quality hotel. At breakfast there was always something which you could eat. We ate in the hotel most nights and there was enough choice but the food was of a cheap quality.
Staff could do to smile more but got better if you perservered and made the effort to speak to them. Cleaner on floor A10 was very friendly.
Entertainment was on every night except Wednesday but it ranged from bingo to kareoke.
Wouldn't visit again because we found the resort too crowded. We did however have a fantastic holiday and there was loads to do.
If you are visiting soon we reccomend the Jeep Safari and the river boat trip to see the turtles and Sozopole.

I have just returned from the Globus with my family and would have to say it is extremely clean. The maids came in every day to make the beds and fill the mini bar. There is a list in your room telling you if you break or damage any items you have to pay for them so be wary of this.
You have to tip for everything especially in the local bars and restaurants if you use the toilet. In the end up if I was eating in the bar I walked by the person sitting outside and just took my children in.
The food in the hotel was extremely bad but I always found something I could eat, however my husband and kids did not. They lived on baked potatoes and hot dogs we purchased outside the hotel, we didn't even go for breakfast after the first day it was that bad.
I would not go back. I would never travel with Balkan again in my life either. If you do, eat before you go on the plane and prepare for a bumpby ride. The seats are broken and the planes dirty and full of flies. The staff on the plane and in the hotel were rude and ignorant.
The Bulgarians we met outside were pleasant enough. Look out for gypsy's knocking you over and then trying to rob you. This happened to people in our hotel and they ended up with broken limbs. If you like Blackpool you'll love Bulgaria.

I would not go half board you get the same cold food every day pizza and chips and you have pay for your drinks at dinner and evening meals. They even wanted us to pay for extra milk in a coffee at breakfast. They don't cater for children under 3 at all.
The hotel you can't fault its very clean and and the staff are very friendly there's is no entertainment at all.
It would be a great location if there wasn't prostitutes outside the hotel selling themselves from 2 levs to 12 levs a time. I would not recommend going to Sunny beach to anyone or travelling with Balkan airlines even if it was free.

Hotel was nice and clean, most staff nice but like most Bulgaria people not many smile, but bar staff are nice people
2 for 1 drinks after 8pm
If your on the front after 12am look to the right loads of girls hassle you
Food was poor but to be honest sometimes I liked it
Globus is one of the better hotels in Sunny Beach

We have just returned from the Globus Hotel in Sunny Beach and I cannot praise it enough. I read all the reviews before I went and I regretted booking it.
The food in the hotel was fantastic and plenty of it catering for all tastes, although breakfast wasn't to our liking none of us had any bad stomachs.
I had read that there were prostitutes outside the hotel we never saw one.
All the staff were lovely and helpful and pleasant my only complaint would be getting a sunbed by the pool people were getting up at 5am to put a towel on a bed then going down the beach and not using the beds until late afternoon.
I would go back to this hotel again, and I recommend the food. I put 1/2 stone on in 2 weeks!
