The food we attempted every night!!If we didnt like the look of it we ate out!!!!We did have to get up early to reserve the sunbeds (well my partner did)!!!We noticed the Mafia and bodyguards but it didnt bother us in the slightest! The Majestic was due to open in our second week and we were impressed with Victoria Palace till we visited the Majestic!!!We had a great holiday and if you are booked here just dont worry about what is said about it!!!I believe a holiday is what you make it and if you wanna moan then thats just a waste of two weeks!!!

Arrived late at night which seems the norm, when pulling up to the Majestic the WOW facter kicked in it is very grand. Our room was in block 3 which was exellent only thing was the lifts YES its true to say a bit fritening but we never got stuck in them.

Our room was cleaned every day and all the things for cooking were where, not that we did any becuase its so cheap and i do meen CHEAP to eat and drink anywhere. The location of the hotel is the best on the resort not to far from anything but the hotel sits a bit more back from the front which dominates its grand position.

The staff at the hotel, well to be honest were ok to us but sometimes their is a probleem with the lanuage, as in they don't understand.

As for the entertainment the pool staff were brillient, as for on the night ? we were never there to much to do in sunny beach

We are looking to go back next year and cannot wait well done Majestic Hotel and well done Thomsons.

The hotel is impressive but the workmanship in some areas is sub-standard but this maybe because it had to be finished in a hurry (husband noticed this really, not me so much). The hotel is in a very good position and our friends were told by an estate agent that we were staying at the exclusive end of Sunny Beach.

The pools are great and large but pretty cold. The sun loungers are very comfy as they all have a padded cushion on them. As with most hotels, you'll find the same problem here with people getting up early to bag the sunbeds and not enough to go around. We only had one day when we didn't get any and ended up on the beach.

The rooms are good for size and are kept clean. Our maid wasn't the best eg. we had the same glasses all week (we just rinsed them out and got on with it). Just small things like that really nothing major. Our room and our kids room next door (4th floor) had some water damage and whilst someone had attempted to paint ours the kids room was still not done (again nothing major). There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room for any of you that need your fix in the morning so glad we took our travel kettle.

There is wear and tear already starting to show in the corridors and rooms but as long as they keep on top of this it should be OK.

The reception staff seemed ok not that we had a lot to do with them. What would have been helpful is if when we checked in, they told us where the lifts were and which ones to get into in relation to where our room was (this is a big hotel) but they just leave you to it. We found our room and whilst our kids key worked in their door our wasn't activiated so I phoned reception from their room to be told a Porter would be up very soon. So we waited and waited and eventually husband went down and got it activated and the Porter never did show.

The food was pretty good something for everyone. Breakfast we found to be the best with things like pancakes, egg, bacon, cereal, cheese, ham etc etc. For the evening meal there was a good choice the salads were very good. The one thing we were annoyed about is that you couldn't get even a glass of water with your meal without paying for it. So after the first night we didn't have a drink with out evening meal. We thought it would have been nice to have some background music to try to get a bit of atmosphere in there as it was a bit like a canteen. Small complaint though really nothing to spoil your holiday.

We didn't go to any of the evening entertainment at the hotel but the daytime animation team are very energetic and fun and do a really good job in the day.

I could go back to this hotel again for a good price but we like to try somewhere different every year.

I got back from Sunny Beach this morning after a 2 week stay.
As many reports have already said, the cleaners seem to around 24/7 mopping steps, cleaning windows, emptying bins etc. so the place is always spotless!

There was quite a lot of choice when it came to meal times. I prefer the simple things like cereal, toast, fruit etc but my boyfriend tried most things (pancakes, cooked breakfast, cold meats etc.)
Again a lot of choice for an evening meal. We always went down to eat just after 6pm as it was quieter then and the food freshly out.

Hotel location was perfect for us as it is situated in a quiet area but just on the doorstep of nightlife (mostly bars, restaurants etc. The clubs were a bit further in the centre of the resort) We caught the little train to resort centre and also walked there some days as it is a nice walk.

Hotel staff were split into 2 categories! Reception staff didn't always understand what you were saying and smetimes abrupt. The cleaners were the most miserable though. No matter how often we smiled and said hello, they just didn't even acknowledge us!
On the other hand, the restraunt staff were lovely and polite. Showed us to our table, asked how our day had been etc. Some of them spoke a bit more English than other staff so that may be why.

Tha animation team around the pool durig the day were excellent. They tried to get you to join in with the activities but were not too pushy at all. And if anyone knows what the name of the song is that they have gests dancing around the pool to at the end, I would be most greatful to find out as it was quite catchy!

Cant say much about the hotel entertainment as we went out instead.

The hotel room was very impressive. It is located right on the beach and near to all of the amenities.

The rooms were cleaned every day and new towels/bedding provided.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The day time entertainment programme was great for both kids and adults alike.

We all had a fantastic time at the Majestic hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and when finished properly it will be magnificent. The hotel itself is still to be finished and teething problems are to be inevitable, although i felt they didn't really effect our stay nor the enjoyment of our holiday.

The hotel is extremely clean and our rooms were made up every day and fresh towels replaced. The food was amazing and tasted great. There was so much choice of food and i ound it was well prepared and beautifully displayed. The staff are extremely friendly and the animation team go out of their way to keep you entertained with daytime activities and evenig entertainment. The kids club was a god send and my daughter loved going. It was always on at least once a day for about 2 hours.

As for getting a sunbed around the pool, we put our towels out at 9am when we went for breakfast as the pool gets very busy. I think this reflects the fact that the pool area is clean, tidy and the entertainment is well... entertaining!!!

Only real down fall was the lifts!

If you can work the lifts out then good luck to you cause they have a mind of their own although you do eventually get to the floor you require.

We was lucky cause we was on the 3rd floor so we used the stairs majority of the time.

We had one of the best holidays we'd ever had. Great for families as kids can go anywhere with you and there are plenty of facilities both in and out of the hotel grounds.
We struggled to spend our money over there which was a bonus!

Anybody looking to go will have a great time.

We would definately return to the Majestic and Sunny Beach.

I went June 2-9. It was absolutely lovely. I LOVED the Majestic. Only about 2 other hotels there looked to compare as nice (the Victoria Palace next door and the Riu Helena or Helens or something similar). The pool was a bit too cold for me (I'm from Southern US) but it was warm enough for my English husband and plenty of others. The weather was perfect for me. I think we had one evening rain shower, other than that it was dry and almost always sunny and in the 70s (F). I wouldn't have enjoyed sitting by the pool had it been any hotter. We have enough hot days where we live in GA. There were tons of people getting sunburnt by the pool this time of year so no worries about booking an early June trip for future reference.

About the hotel. The breakfast and dinner were buffet-style. There was quite a huge selection especially if you like meats and eggs for breakfast. I was happy with crepes (pancakes), and croissants, oranges, kiwis for breakfast. They also had coffee and tea but the "orange" juice was not really juice so that was disappointing. For dinner, they only had cash bar options for drink, not even free water which was disappointing, but the dinner selections varied each night (3 or 4 main dish selections), also always pizza and pasta on the buffet with sauces and some kids selections (fish fingers, etc). Lots of salad stuff and fresh bread and many desserts incl. ice creams. I was very pleased.

The room was very nice and spacious, incl a fridge in the room and a TV with lots of channels. I had a small problem with the bathtub but a repair guy came within 3 minutes to fix it. They were very good at customer service and being polite and prompt about any problem. One thing I felt was missing was a box of tissues. I had hayfever (if you are prone to spring allergies, bring your meds from home) and was constantly using the toilet tissue.

They did give you towel cards to get towels for the pool. Pool loungers were a bit hard so I'm glad we brought our own towels as well for comfort.

They were finishing a restaurant while we were there. Looked to be almost done.

They also just finished a brand new turfed football pitch while we were there. Bring your ball.

They also opened a games room when we were there a couple days. It had snooker, darts and pool table for a fee of 1-3 lev I think.

There was a storage room for the luggage on the last day and you could book a courtesy room to use on the last day you are there if you have a late flight like we did... the room happened to be the one we checked out of at noon!

They were also building a bar on the beach to go with the hotel. It was nearly done when we left. SHould be open now. Would be some nice views to sit and drink there.

Our room was on the 4th floor. View was great. Would have liked to be a bit higher, but no lower for a good view, In my opinion.

Location of the hotel was perfect. Quiet end of "town" but it gets more and more busy as you walk along. We walked along the promenade every night toward the busier area. Only took 15 mins to walk up there.

Entertainment- they had a nightclub just in front of the pool. There was evening entertainment every night at 9:30 but it was done by the animation team and wasn't too great, amateur stuff, but free! Comfortable place to relax and have a laugh with a beer. The animation team were super friendly and ran darts competetions, water polo, exercise times out by the pool daily.

Oh, the pool bar had 2 plasma screens installed while we were there so you sports fans can watch your stuff out there! Another plasma screen in the hotel lobby so you have something to watch while waiting for you coach.

Hotel, all in all was super clean ALL the time. The cleaning staff were always sweeping and dusting.

Stayed in the Hotel Majestic at Sunny Beach.
This was our second visit to this resort as we stopped in the Fiesta beach Hotel last year.

The Hotel Majestic is or could be a very good hotel if the staff should some manners and didn't show preference to other nationalilties, the rooms and public areas are clean and of a good size, and pool area is of a good size(be down early if you want a sun bed all taken up with towels by 8.30).

Food was pretty good but be carful with the chicken and turkey not always cooked, that aside the rest was of a good standard and plenty of it.

Build qualitly of the hotel is a little shabby.

A word of warning the lifts in this Hotel are a joke
in the two weeks we were there I heard of at least 5 people stuck in them and not one day passed without them being broken.

The door either stopped open for ages or shut that fast you couldnt get into the lift, when you did get in it was a total lottery which floor they went to, you press 2 it would go upto 11 or straight down to 1.

If you have a disability I would not use this hotel as there are a lot of steps.

The resort os Sunny beach is lovely though and well worth visiting.

If we go back next year we will not use this hotel but the one next door the Fiesta beach or Victoria Palace.

Thought that overall the Majestic was a really nice hotel.

The whole hotel was constantly being cleaned, rooms were serviced everyday and the pool area was also clean as well.

Food was brilliant - huge choice for both breakfast and dinner. Would advise getting down to breakfast before 9am though as it gets manic then! Careful of the Chicken though - its often still pink.

Pool area was fine - two large pools and kids pool. Sunloungers have soft mats on then which is nice. There are plenty of loungers there but make sure you get your towels down before breakfast here!

What can I say about the staff? Some of the bar staff are OK, even better if you tip all the time. The reception staff are abysmal - there are three standard responses - "Come back tomorrow at 9am", "No" and "See Your Rep". The rep however was really good and answered any questions we had.

When we arrived we got allocated a room with No Sea View after paying for it. This happened to around 10 of us who arrived at the same time. The hotel / Thomson have agreed to componsate
