We stayed at the Coral Sea Resort, on an all-inclusive basis. We found the food more than acceptable, and decided that there was something offered for all tastes. The food was, in the main, well presented- the tables were kept clean, and the service, though occasionally a little spasmodic, was given in a friendly and welcoming manner.

The coffee in the Dine around restaurant was not very good, but in the bars, there was Nescafe on offer The beer on sale was put forward as Stella Artois local, and was quite acceptable, though the use of plastic 'Pepsi' cups in the Mermaid and Pool Bars is a definite 'No,No'

The location of the hotel did not affect us, as we were quite happy to stay 'on site' except to go on 2 'organised trips' booked via the excellent reps. We did not enjoy the trip to Dahab at all- to have a meal in a 'restaurant' swarming with stray cats and under-10 beggars, and to have the food cooked on one side of the road, and carried across a busy street to the table was not acceptable.

The toilets were next to the kitchen, and were 'manned' by a 9/10 year old who demanded

The hotel was nice and will most likely be lovely when all the final trimmings are completed i.e. plants fully grown, outside stream working etc, main drive in towers finished.

As a lover of fish and chips, burgers etc and a hater of foreign oil covered foods I would have been happier if we were closer than 30mins to a McDonalds as I was starving after a week, but that's me, all other members of party ate what I hate ! (I was the same in the Maldives in April - so this is no fault of the Coral Sea Resort).

Hotel staff seemed to think it was ok to give you what they had if they had no change, and I was short changed by 50 Egyptian in the resorts chemist after handing over a 100 that he insisted was a 50? - so state what you are handing over before letting go of your money or paying for mini bar expenses etc.

Some bar staff were ok and others were not, in fact they could be very rude when they wanted to be - if you did not tell them all the drinks you wanted in one go, they would get very shirty regardless of how many drinks you were ordering (in my case sometimes 16!). Small glasses of warm beer from a bottle half full with beer and half full with froth ?

Cleaners kept rooms tidy and well stocked with fresh towels and beds made.

Entertainment was centred around the Irish bar and I feel this resort needs a mature entertainments manager if it is to go forward.

The young staff had very little to work with and were more there for the kiddies than the adults.

We found cleanliness in the hotel to be excellent, nice touches were our beach towels being arranged in the shapes of animals or flowers by cleaners.

Hotel towels were changed daily and were plentiful, just the job after a shower, following a hard day around the pool or on the beach.

We did experience a flood in our room a few days into our holiday when a pipe came away from the wall under the sink in the bathroom, totally flooding the room in minutes, however, what can only be described as a small army of cleaners and maintainence guys inc. a supervisor, had the room dried out, the pipe repaired and clean rugs, carpets and curtains provided within the hour, it would have taken us much longer to change rooms, we took this episode in good spirits and enjoyed some banter with the cleaners for some days following the incident.

Food was very impressive and the salad bars and sweet sections were elaborately presented, it was almost a shame to spoil them but spoil them we did. You can dine in several areas of the hotel, there was even a poolside BBQ every day. Of most note were the cooked to order sections, omelettes and pancakes in the mornings, pasta and pizza freshly cooked to order along with a roast of the day in the evening. Dinner was internationally themed over 14 days and so offered some variation throughout our 2 week stay, though with a couple of days to go, the lunch selection was beginning to get a little repetitive but hey, there were only 2 days left so I don't think that was too bad. I did get the impression that some hot food was re-used in the salad selection the following day .

All the adults in our party (4 in total) did have stomach cramps and diarrhoea but none of us attributed this to the food which was always kept piping hot, what is of note is that around the pool bars, plastic glasses are just rinsed under the taps and I suspect this is how we came by the 'Red Sea Rumblings' everyone we spoke to seemed to experience some degree of tummy upset, but I felt much better when I began drinking more water which is a must in the heat and is in plentiful supply around the hotel, a tip is to save the bottles from meal times and fill them from the numerous water butts.

The location of the hotel suited us fine, although it is a fair way from the resort centre, Naama Bay, there are other resort hotels in the area but also a lot of building work, including the front of the Coral Sea but this doesn't impact whatsoever on your hliday experience.

A cash machine is available in the hotel next door but perhaps a hotel, the size of the Coral Sea ought to invest in one themselves. A trip into Naama Bay is an experience (shuttle service

Returned from Coral Sea after 2 weeks holiday.
Food can be a be repetitive. Entertainment needs to be
improved.

Had 2 day trip to cairo good value for money.
A lot of children at this resort so be aware of the
noise.

Irish bar full of kids at night around pool tables. The coral sea is good vale for money if you like the typical spanish costas holiday.

The hotel grounds and pool are very impressive. The food is rubbish. Breakfast is OK if you like pastries and bread. The coffee was foul!

The BBQ around the main pool was OK during the day, but we didn't go back to the Dine Around restaraunt in the evening after our 1st visit as the food was rubbish!

The Italian restaraunt was vey good, although you have to pay for your drinks, but apart from the wine, they're sensibily priced.

Frequent bus service to Naama bay for

Wow, what a great hotel the coral sea is. Have been all around the world on all inclusives and could not fault this hotel.

Were warned before going about upset stomachs etc, but neither of us had a problem, the only people who did were the ones who eat in Mcdonalds etc in nama bay.

The rooms were spotless everyday, fresh linen and towels everyday, and nothing was any trouble to the staff.

Must say thanks to juliea from the ukraine who is the guest relations manager, within hours of mentioning the need for irons and ironing boards they appeared, also we suggested a need to be able to rent dvd,s for the nights you felt like staying in watching the box with the air con on, and within the hour the manager turned up with a bag full of brand new blockbusters.

All first choice needs to do to make this the best all inclusive hotel on the red sea is to bring in outside entertainment even if it means a small surcharge on the price of the holiday.

For a hotel that as only just been opened it was very impressive and is moving in the right direction to be number one, as long as they keep the same team at the helm steering the ship.

Congratulations coral sea your are the jewel in the crown of the red seathanks for a great holiday.

See you all again soon.

When we first arrived to the hotel we were a little shocked. Although the grounds on the inside where fine, pulling upto the gates they where still getting built!!

Room was nice and simple, although we spent the majority of the time lying around the pool. The pools are nice but are spoilt by young kids splashing around.

Food was ok, but sooo tedious. Same thing- chicken, pasta, pizza, chips etc every night. I was also very ill with Egyptian tummy.

Trips- snorkelling trip was absoultly brilliant best thing about the holiday!!! Also went to Dahab, what a waste of money. The food was late and we were constantly hassled to buy things from the locals. A man wouldn't let me out of his shop and my fiancee had to get a tad aggressive so he'd let us go!!

The location isn't bad but you become bored of doing the same things over and over. We went into Naama Bay and it was really nice to sit outside in a nice restaurant (there was so many choices of them).

If I went back to Egypt I wouldn't stay here, I'd choose another hotel. Also I would like to thank our housekeeper I did't get his name but he was lovely and cleaned our room at least once a day. The staff were lovely in this hotel!!

The staff at the Coral Sea are without exception excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them. The first choice reps seemed to busy dealing with complaints all the time but I found nothing at all to complain about.

One of the pools was closed for a week because of a hygeine problem caused by a guest, I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

If you enjoy a good variety of tasty well presented food you will be very happy here, chips are available as part of the childrens buffet but were often scoffed by a number of sad "don't like foreign food" adults.

The entertainment "team" realy do need to go back to basics, you do not try and play the yes no game with children under 5 years of age nor do you spend 15 minutes on a microphone telling children not to go to the toilet in the pool.

The onsite diving centre is excellent and if you're not very confident in the sea give them a try. The highlight of this holiday had to be the scuba
diving/snorkeling, the fish are amazing.

The reefs at the hotel are very good and the water around one is quite shallow at low tide (3 - 6 feet)one reef is only covered by about a foot of water so excellent for children.

Be aware that the wind can be very strong so it is not advisable to take lilo's into the sea.
Would probably go back in a few years time when the area is more established.

Hotel was excellent, staff were fantactic they would do there best to help.

Food was good but a little bit to much of the same thing daily.

Fresh pasta pizza daily.

Drinks were ok but could do with bigger cups as beer is served in little pepsi cups which is a pain.

Room very spacious you have you own house keeper who cleans and changes bed linen daily.

On the beach great pools great.

Entertaiment team were good tried there best but not a great deal going on this is the only thing I think which needs a big improvement.
