Having travelled last August for our first visit to Egypt (2 weeks after the bombings) we were sceptical but endured and loved everything about the country and hotel.

The rooms were large and very clean, the staff were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

The food was good, with a different theme each night and my very fussy daughter even enjoyed it.

The hotel was in its last stage of completion, but most of the remaining work needed was cosmetic, everything that was required to make the holiday pleasant was working.

Although the location is a fair way from Sharm town we did not feel the need to leave the hotel except for once to journey into town but were all overwhelmed with the heat, at 11pm it was still 39 degrees.

The in house entertainment was a bit hectic but the hotel had only been open for about 6-7 weeks when we arrived and I guess that their routines etc took more than a few weeks to work out all of the flaws, also performing in the heat during the day and evening would be difficult even for the most hardy of people.

This is definately a relaxing resort, no loud nighclubs to worry about, a real family hotel (although evening activities for children are very thin on the ground).

We have booked our return visit to go back again in August this year as this hotel is exceptional value and in our opion is a 4+ star.

Very clean but brand new so time will tell if it remains so.

Food ok but not to my taste. Again menus will prob change.
Location not good at present but lots of new hotels being built in area.

Staff excellent but usually slow. The Caribbean has some competition!

Entertainment the usual.

We arrived at the Coral Sea Resort on the 7th July 2005.
On first impression it seemed very nice, we were given our key and eventually found our room.

The key wouldn't open the door and after much too-ing and fro-ing eventually got in the room. On first inspection it seemed nice and clean but during the week we gradually noticed more and more things - the toilet was leaking and dirty water behind it was not mopped - infact the whole apartment was not mopped.

Dead flies and moths were left in the room.
The cleaner suited himself as to the time he came to clean the apartment.

There was a mini bar in the room but if you use it it costs a fortune. Cans of pop cost

The hotel is brand new and we were the first people to stay in our room which we thought was excellent and had no problems with. We did speak to some people who had teething problems but you expect this with a new hotel.

The cleaners in my opinion did a great job and much appreciated the tip we gave them.

The food was lovely but spicy and not to everyone

Absolutely fantastic hotel, a few minor teething problems due to new build but soon remedied.

The food quality and choice was to a very high standard with enough selection to suit all tastes, it was especially pleasing to see that the food hadn't been "dumbed down" for the British "Costa's".

The bar staff were very friendly and quick to adapt to demand, having ice made from bottled water was an added bonus.

Rooms were cleaned regularly and thoroughly with a plentiful supply of toiletries and the air conditioning was very efficient.

Can't personally comment on the entertainment but my two sons (19 & 16) certainly enjoyed the offerings.

Will definitely consider this hotel for the future but expect to pay more as it becomes established, this may, hopefully, deter certain parties.

Fantastic hotel, with well decorated and clean rooms. Obviously a few minor problems with it being a new hotel, but nothing that wasn't amended promptly with a smile from the staff.
The food was lovely, although maybe a bit repetitive, there was always enough high quality choice, and breakfast was always a must.
The hotel was not in the best location, but this will surely improve as Sharm develops as a resort.
The entertainment team where great, with only three of them it was hard, but if everybody made effort to get involved instead of the few miserable moaners, then they could of realsised they where on holiday to! Well done to Michael, Nikki and Natasha the "Entertainment Team"!

Where do I start !!! First of all, all-inclusive, excuse me if I'm wrong but I thought that if you went on holiday all inclusive it meant that all food, drinks, and entertainment was included in the price ????

Well think again with this hotel.....you were only allowed bottled water by the glass in the restaraunt...however if you complained they did give you a bottle but should you really have to argue when it's all-inclusive.....I think not. If you asked for water from the bar however you were made to pay for it, no if's or but's.....this was in my opinion disgusting, considering that you can't drink tap water and you rely on bottled water. Not only that but once mid-night came you had to pay for your drinks. This was not on, when you are all inclusive everything is meant to be included.

The bar in the foyer wont even allow you to have the orange juice which is on tap during the day for you to help yourself to. The food was the same nearly every night, always vegetables, potatoes pasta etc...they did however cook spicy chicked, small pieces of steak etc, but you new exactly what the rest of the food would be each night. and by the way once 2130 arrived dont expect to get any food....because the restaraunt closed.

You can get alacarte once while your there but you have to pay for any drinks you get...once again why ?? when its all inclusive.

The distance too was a major downer, we were told it was 15 mins taxi drive away to naama bay.....it actually takes 30 mins and costs

Although the hotel was new you could tell the rooms had been finished in a hurry. Our room had not been cleaned when we arrived, there was a film of dust everwhere, the toilet had not been flushed since it had been installed and there was rust around the bath where the bath chain had been lying.

The tiled floor and wall looked "old" (2nd hand tiles I think) It took 2 days for the room to be cleaned properly.

We had 2 teenage girls with us and had asked for 2 rooms close together but when we arrived they said they had no record of our request and didn't seem that bothered about it.

The lobby of the hotel was 4* but I would say our rooms were 2*. The a/c in the girls room never worked properly for the whole 2 weeks and despite repeated requests at reception nothing was done about it.

The food was to be frank quite dissappointing, a mixture of stirfrys and chicken/veal most nights. The all inclusive drinks were so horrid you couldnt drink their spirits at all so we stuck to beer for the fortnight.

The bars were far to small for the number of guests and were a shambles and a mess from start to finish. The hotel was located right on the beach but apart from that it was miles from anything else.

The staff tried so hard and all in all they were good and helpfull but they need many more espcially in the restaurants.

The entertainment was conspicious by its absence, in otherwords unless you enjoyed blaring music in the"Irish Bar" you were left to make your own entertainment.

We did this every night with a great bunch of people we met there.
We probably would not revisit this hotel, at least for a few years anyway to give them a chance to sort out their teething problems.

All in all for a 4* AI holiday it was dissapointing but everyone is different and has there own ideas of what a holiday should be.

Initial impressions were good. Lobby was lovely, room looked good when first arrived. On closer inspection, room not as good as first looked.

Finishing touches not good, grout falling off in bathroom, woodwork not finished off etc. Nice size room and great balcony overlooking pools and over to sea. Cleaners were nice -they made flowers from the towels and laid them on bed. Room cleaned daily although times varied. We had been out one day from early morning till after 5pm. Cleaners wanted to come in at 6pm to do room - asked them to come back next day. Other people we spoke to also told of cleaners trying to do room after 9pm. Strange, but I think probably not enough staff and wasn't really a problem anyway. You just asked for fresh towels if needed.

Wasn't too impressed with food. Breakfast was best for us. Fresh pancakes, omelette's made to order etc. Good variety to choose from. Felt lunch and dinner choice wasn't as good and sometimes food cold. Need more staff in dining room, quite often didn't get tea until after finished breakfast - if at all. Didn't feel a la carte lived up to expectations either unfortunately. Bars ok - one complaint is lobby bar giving you plastic cup for soft drink. Only alcohol was served in glass.

Pool was great - towel guys lovely nothing too much trouble. Pool bar staff bit of a hit or miss.

Beach was ok - sand not soft so kids not too keen but they loved the sea. Extending jetty while we were there. It went as far as a sand bank from where we walked to long jetty at another hotel. Great snorkeling.

FC reps were good - friendly and helpful.

Entertainment staff great with kids. They worked hard with limited resources. Felt they could have had more support from guests as some nights theatre was very quiet, but agree it wasn't for everyone and if I didn't have kids would probably not have gone as much. Dive centre staff were great.

In few years Nabq will be more built up - lots of building going on. At moment nothing but hotels so had to get bus or taxi to go anywhere to do something away from hotel.

Had a great holiday - best days were away from hotel. Didn't live up to 4 star rating. First all inclusive - don't think will do it again. Am going back to Sharm - not to Coral Sea Resort though.
