Stayed here 10/05/07 - 24/05/07 & was disappointed after all the rave reviews.

This was our second Egyptian All Inclusive (to give them the benefit of the doubt)& they are nowhere near as good as a Carribean All Inclusive.

To summarise the good points -
ROOMS - very big, easily taking 4 beds with room to spare. Good showers, complimentary toiletries & clean.(the beds are rock hard & gave me a bad back)

GROUNDS - well maintained, pretty gardens. Spacious pool area, plenty of beds with mattresses & towels. Pool water checked 3 times a day & very clean.

BEACH - OK, sea very shallow (2")for miles when tide out. Jetty for access to deeper sea for swimming.

ITALIAN a la carte, Nice food, good service. Allowed to use this once per week.

WEATHER - fab, 90 - 95 degrees.

To summarise the bad points -

FOOD - the buffet restautant was like a cattle market, very noisy with lots of children running around. The food was mediocre at best, chewy meat in gravey or chicken & chips. The Italian a la carte was much better, peaceful, good service & quality food.

BARS - there is no comfortable area to sit & relax with a drink. The lobby bar has wrought iron chairs that dig in your back, the Irish bar has hard wooden seats (& a DJ who tries to burst your ear drums) the seats outside on the balcony are best but you get eaten alive by the mosquito's.

ENTERTAINMENT - non existent, very amaturish, best for children, again the amphitheatre is outside & you will be bitten.

SERVICE - staff try hard & are very friendly but the place is understaffed. Only 1 guy at the pool bar & when he went collecting glasses there was no one to serve! Queues at the lobby & Irish bar. Only 1 guy serving tea/coffee for breakfast had to wait ages, again only 1 guy on the restaurant bar & had to queue.

TOILETS - severe lack of around the pool, only 2 at the Mermaid restaurant or you used your room.

ALL INCLUSIVE !? - YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR -

After a long build up to this holiday we finally arrived on the 10th of May. As with others we were greeted right away with a friendly fruit cocktail and even though it was 11pm we were asked if we would like a meal in the restuarant which I thought was a lovely touch even though we declined.

After checking in and being fitted with wrist bands we were directed to our rooms and the first impression was WOW ,large spotlessly clean rooms with large balconies ,the cases were deliverd within minutes of getting to the room so it was a swift unpack and then to bed.

Having spent much time reading the posts on this forum it was almost like I knew my way round on the first day, and I can only say that everything exceeded our expectations.

The food was excellent every day at all outlets ,the drink was better than expected ,the service was superb and Ahmed the bar man at the beach pool should be made a manager his customer relations was superb.

The beach is nice and clean the sea warm and clear.

We did a few trips out but not with the reps and they were all good as well I never felt ripped off as I have done in other countries.

One thing worth mentioning was the pool quality I noticed that a bacteria check was done at least three times a day and if there was anything wrong chemicals were added to the filter system within minutes absolutely SUPER.

All in all a it was a top notch holiday and I would recomend this hotel to anyone.

Just returned from a week at this hotel, I cant imagin why anyone would give this hotel 5 stars and say excellent I am well travelled and this hotel is definatly not a 4Star hotel.

On arrival I though the hotel had not been finished on closer inspection I thought is had reached financial problems and had to sell furniture as it was to say limited.

The rooms are of a good size but the beds are terrible hard as rock and pillows no better.

I arrived at the hotel just after midnight due to flight delay, we where refused a hot drink unless we paid as the all inclusive had finished at midnight, not a good start, it didnt get much better food plain boring and not very hot I guess its fine if you are going on holiday to eat chip butties, pleant of bread around, the food all tatsed bland and uninteresting and even the pizza made fresh for you tasted like a piece of nothing.

The hotel has nothing outside you will need to take a taxi or bus to Namma Bay hotel charge you to use their shuttle bus, staff I found miserable and rude to woman, they sadly have no sence of humour,have miserable faces and cant even be bothered to speak half the time.

The entertainment team from first choice work hard but sadly guys you cant sing and I dont like getting bitten by mosquitios every time I sit out for a drink or to watch a second rate show. 10 out of 10 though for the effort made and always a smile on your face.

The drinks are in plasic cups and no waiter service so join the queue.

Overall I would say pick another hotel, this one is only a " star at best.

Coral Beach is a lovely hotel. We were very pleased with the high standard of cleanliness and the overall impression of the hotel. Our room was of good size with a great sea view. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard with celan towels and bed linen.

All the staff were very friendly and worked with a smile on their faces at all times. The entertainment team worked very hard, making sure to interact with all guests to encourage them to join in activities and make new friends.

The only down side to the coral, is the location. Once you are outside the hotel grounds, there isnt much to do or see.

We will be visiting the coral again in the near future. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

This was our second visit to Coral Sea and it was excellent as normal.

We went with our two children aged 6 and 4 and also went with friends who had to children also. we had a massive double room which was kept clean and tidy all the time with new sheets and towels by the cleaner.

The food in the hotel although seems repetitive is of an excellent standard and always tasty, they have a children section in the dinning hall for children to help them selves and the deserts are yummy, we visited the Mermaid most lunch times as you can enjoy the sun while u eat and the food there is also excellent with fresh bread and salad served all the time.

The entertainment team were lovely and my children found vicky who my four year old son wanted to marry very friendly and always willing to chat and all the others in the team were very good and put on excellent shows.

The staff in the hotel are lovely and try very hard to make your stay a good one thanks go out Ahmed on the Palm pools bar who was excellent and and served drinks to us even while lying on our sun beds lazy I know but he wanted to serve us,we became good friends with him and he was always playing with the children and was always happy which takes some doin when u work around the clock.

The only down side was the state of the tables and chairs outside at night which was ashame as last year they had lovely tables and chairs and I also think its about time they set up a proper bar for the staff to run outside at night rather than the makeshift one they've had for over a year.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to families.There is a pharmacy in the hotel which was extremely useful and the staff who run it are excellent I was given tablets for bites as I found out that aim now allergic to them painful and sore but with the tablets and cream they soon healed up so dont be affraid to use it, they also have tablets that clear up holiday tummy in 24 hours when nothin else seems to work.

All in all an excellent and lovely holiday again.

We arrived at the Coral Sea hoping that all the good reviews we had read were correct. And they certainly were.

We were amazed by the friendliness off all the staff, the hotel was so clean and well maintained, the food was excellent with so much choice and there was so much to do whether it was browsing the shops or snorkelling or just chilling by the great pools.

We had a fantastic day at the water park and there is so much more we wished we had done we are already looking to book and go back next year.

Mustafa the pool boy was so much fun and the kids thought he was great.

We will definitely be returning to this great hotel.

We came back to stay at the Coral Sea after having a superb holiday there last Easter.

We were a bit worried about going back to the same place but we had no cause to be and we were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived! We had a huge room with a terrace looking out over the big pool and an addition from last year was two sunbeds already on the terrace for us, as well as table and chairs...bliss!

We had a fruit bowl in our room welcoming us back and this was topped up several times during our stay, a nice touch. We also came back to plate of 'nibbles' one day after being on the beach!

The room was kept really clean for us and we had clean towels and bedding all the time, it was really nice to come back to the beds being turned down at night. Nothing was too much trouble.

The food was if anything better than last year as there was a huge choice. We all loved breakfast and the different choice of eggs, pancakes, meats and cheeses as well as beans, fruit, cereal etc and got hooked on the felafel every day. Loved the yoghurt as well!

Lunch we tended to eat at the Mermaid where there was a set meal such as chicken or kofta or pastawith salad and cakes. We did eat at the dine around and by the pool as well a couple of times and enjoyed the food at both.
Evening meal had so much choice that it is difficult to know where to start! A different theme everynight, so choice from different parts of the world as well as Egyptian food and a childs buffet, so plenty of different things to try. The puddings were great, again loads of cakes and fruit and a hot pudding everynight as well as home made ice cream! Drinks are by the glass both in the restaurant and on the bars.

Days we spent next to or in the big pool, no problems getting sunbeds as most people gathered round the smaller pool which is heated. Pool towels are huge and clean everyday, you just use a card to get them from the huts.

My family all did the PADI open water diving course with Aquarius and had a great time. Hossam was their instructor and was great with them, they learnt loads! Thanks. I went with them to Sharks Bay one day, costs about

When we arrived at the hotel we were given a lovely fruit cocktail which was nice after all the rushing around we had to do at the airport.

The hotel was sparkling,you can literally see your face in their floors, the cleaners take pride in their work as we found out because whenever the cleaner saw us he would ask if we were happy with our rooms and we always said yes.

The food was excellent, different food from around the world every day, the waitors even have costumes for the different countries, there was sooo much choice plus the childrens food was also great because they could pick their own.

The breakfasts were delicious I think I had pancakes and doughnuts every day!!!

The location of the hotel was really nice, it's about 5 minutes away from the beach and the beach was very nice and peaceful.

Some of the day activities the entertainers provided us took place on the beach.

The hotel staff were excellent, always prompt and on time and always very polite.

The first choice entertainment team were the greatest,i will miss all of them especially Gemma(we have made a friend for life in you), David, Fran, Erin and Vicky. We look forward to seeing Erin in Bulgaria in August!

The entertainment wasn't all that good but the shows the team provided us with were fantastic!but the other shows weren't as fun.

I would visit this hotel again because I had such a great time and we all want to see Gemma and David again!

The heated pool is nice and the pool bar is even nicer with Aziz coming around making sure you have drinks and collecting up your old glasses, we loved him, he was very entertaining.

The bigger pool is the cold pool and by cold I mean freezing, I think the highest number of people in that pool that I saw was 4!!!

When we went to the shops one morning we saw that the cars can drive on any side of the road they feel like and go around the roundabout any way they feel like, the reps tell you this on the coach to the hotel too

There is a limousine service which is NOT limousines it just basically means them cars have a licence unlike any of the others.

The cabs are like wacky races and they do not have licences so I wouldn't recommend them although it is very funny if you think about it!

Naama bay was very busy and everyone pulls you inside their shops they make you buy something and even if you look at something they start saying I'l give you a good deal and going on and on until you finally give in!A little tip: if they ask you if you want a gift say no because it means you will definately have to buy something.

Put your luggage into the coaches yourselves because if they do it your not allowed on the coach until you have given them a tip,my stepdad gave him a couple of 10ps and a 5p because thats all he could find at the time!The coachman was not a happy bunny!

The people in the shops make you laugh though because they say "cheap as chips", "asda price", "lovely jubbly" and so on.Some of the men eye up the girls and its quite disgusting actually but they are just being friendly so don't give them a hard time.

We didn't go on any trips as they are really expensive and you have to get up at 3.00am which isn't good when you have a 5 and 7 yr old so I can't comment on those.

The weather was lovely reaching 32 on one day but there is a gorgeous breeze which is really nice and keeps you cool.

I think the only let down is the fact that the toilets are about a 10 minute walk away from the pool so we took to going back to our room as it wasn't as far.

All in all we had a great holiday but we are sad that we left Gemma and David!

Anyone who is going will have a wonderful time whether your just a couple or a family, I am 100% sure of it!

I wish I was there now!

Had a fantastic time children loved it.

Have been to Egypt 3 times and this was a fantastic holiday.

Will go back to Coral Sea again.
